Um..." I bit my lower lip and traced my fingers on his hard chest.
I discreetly looked at the wall clock. It's already 1 a.m... but I want a corn soup.
"Luca... I want a corn soup," I mumbled and looked at him.
Luca looked at me with disbelief. "Y-You want corn soup? Right now?"
I bit my lower lip and nodded. "Please, Luca... I really, really want it."
Luca sighed and got up. I immediately got up too and followed him when he went out of our room. Luca went straight to the kitchen. I followed him there and sat at the table. Luca was obviously still sleepy, but I saw him gently slap his cheeks and start getting the ingredients.
I can't help but smile while watching him. I don't know if I already have a place in his heart, but I'm so happy that he couldn't say no to me. It may sound corny, but I can feel the sincerity in his actions. I don't feel any pretense in his movements.
"Here it is," he said after a long time of cooking. He even watched YouTube to learn how to do it.
"Yay." I excitedly took the spoon.
Luca just sat beside me. I tasted the soup he cooked, and I almost hit the table because it was really delicious. I let out a muffled squeal and continued eating. Luca, on the other hand, was just quiet beside me while watching me eat.
I don't know how long I took, and Luca didn't say anything next to me and just stared at me the whole time I was eating. He gave me a glass of water after that. I took it and immediately drank it.
I looked at him and smiled. He unconsciously smiled and wiped the side of my lips with his thumb. I was stunned by what he did, but I just cleared my throat and smiled.
"T-Thank you, Luca," I whispered while staring at him.
Luca caressed my cheek, still staring at me... "You're welcome," he rasped.
MY MOOD WAS GOOD when I woke up. I was just stunned when I noticed Luca getting dressed.
"Are you leaving?" I rubbed my eyes.
Luca approached me and kissed my forehead before putting on his leather jacket. "Hmm. I have a meeting for the org. I'll come home right after... Do you want me to buy something for you?" he asked and gently caressed my cheek.
"Hmm... I want honey," I just said and smiled at him.
His forehead slightly creased. "Honey now?"
I bit my lower lip and nodded. "I want honey."
Luca nodded and kissed my lips before he stood up. "I cooked breakfast for you. Eat it," he just said before he went out of the room.
I just watched him until he went out. I just stood up and took a shower, then went to the kitchen after that. I just ate breakfast and read an e-book on my phone. It's boring here at home when Luca isn't here; it seems my life is really boring without him.
I was just stunned when my phone vibrated. I gasped and immediately sat up straight when I saw that Ivana texted. I cleared my throat and gently smacked my chest before I read her message.
Ivana: What the hell, Crescent North?! I just got back from a business trip. I went to your house, and you weren't there? You didn't even text me, you witch!
Me: Sorryyy! It slipped my mind! I'll make it up to you; do you want me to treat you to lunch?
Ivana: Hmp! Tomorrow then. I'm also doing something right now. Tomorrow, okay, you'll tell me all the gossip in your life!
I just shook my head, laughing, after my text exchange with Ivana. I was about to read an e-book again, but I was stunned when Aiden called. I immediately answered his call.
"Hello, Aiden... Why did you call?"
"Crescent, I just want to check on you since I was so busy these past few days because of back-to-back operations... Um, by the way, is it okay if I ask you out to eat? I just want to talk to you... Well, if it's okay," he said on the other line.
"Of course, where should we meet? Can it be at the mall? I also have to buy something." I want to buy siomai from the food court. I don't know why I suddenly craved it.
"Sure! Let's meet there," Aiden said immediately.
After we talked, I immediately got ready to go to the mall. I just wore a simple blouse and jeans and immediately left. I just texted Luca and told him I was going to the mall.
"Crescent!"
I looked at Aiden waiting on the bench when I heard his voice. He stood up and waved his hand at me. I immediately approached him.
"Hello, Aiden." I smiled at him.
Aiden scratched the back of his neck and smiled at me too. "Um, so, what do you want us to eat? Since I asked you out, I'll treat you."
"Siomai. Do you eat that?" I asked, smiling.
Aiden's eyes narrowed. "Well, it's very unhealthy, but okay, it looks like you really want it. I'll eat it since it's just once in a while."
We immediately went to the siomai stall. I was tapping my feet on the floor because of excitement. Aiden just chuckled beside me while waiting for our order.
"I didn't know you liked siomai that much," Aiden smiled at me.
"I also didn't know I liked siomai. I just started liking it now," I said, smiling, while watching the guy cooking.
After the siomai was cooked, the guy gave it to us. Aiden and I went back to our seats. Aiden even bought water for us before we ate.
"I'm so excited," I whispered and poked the siomai.
I was just stunned when I smelled something weird. I immediately put the siomai on the table when I felt like my stomach was turning.
"Hey, Crescent. Are you okay?" Aiden asked and touched my back.
"Is the siomai spoiled? It smells weird," I mumbled and covered my nose with my handkerchief.
Aiden took the siomai and smelled it. "No, it smells okay." He also tasted it. "The taste is also fine," he added.
I shook my head and pushed the siomai away from me. "I-I don't know. I can't stand the smell. My stomach hurts," I whispered and held my stomach.
Aiden was stunned. I looked at him in confusion because he was staring at me seriously. "Crescent... I'm sorry if I'm gonna ask something personal... Is your period late?" he asked in a low voice.
I was stunned by his question and thought... "I'm three weeks late," I mumbled and looked at him.
Aiden cleared his throat and held my arm. "Do you feel like something's changing in you? In your body? In your mood? In your appetite?"
I just blinked and nodded. "I'm moody these past few weeks. I also always crave all sorts of food that I didn't use to like to eat before. I've also become much more emotional than before... W-Why? Am I sick?" I asked him, worried.
Aiden couldn't speak right away. I know he's a doctor, so he probably has an idea about what's wrong with me. I just swallowed and looked at him nervously...
Honestly, I have an idea about what's going on with me... but I'm scared. I'm afraid that what I'm thinking right now is correct.
I saw how Aiden's Adam's apple moved up and down before he spoke. "Crescent... I think you're pregnant."
