CHAPTER 5
ARPITA’S POV……
Today is the day when I have to look the most beautiful girl and today will be my day only. Surbhi was right. I have to change myself. College days will never repeat in my life so I have to make my college life beautiful and for that I need to change myself. I have decided that I will focus on my studies and focus on myself too.
I already take my parents’ permission and they said yes to go to the party. As they also know I never go anywhere and my mom and dad always said why I not go anywhere or do parties. So now they said yes for this.
I am sitting in front of vanity and looking at myself. I am wearing black tight short dress and heels. Surbhi did the makeup beautifully and I use lenses in my eyes. I don’t want to wear specs. I used red lipstick on my lips and hair looks amazing. Bouncy hairs which every girl want and as my hairs are long so it is a benefit to me.
Well, I am all set to go to party. I am trying 100th time call to Amit. I want him to look at me first but somewhere in my heart I want Arun to look at me.
“I am sure Minali will nowhere to near you. Boys will only look at you and girls will die with jealousy.” Surbhi said in excitement.
“Well, I am satisfied with my look but….” I stopped in middle
“But what now? You just throw your but what for tonight only.” As usual she got irritated.
“But Surbhi, I am feeling nervous. I never wear such dresses. I don’t know but I am feeling excited and nervous at a same time.” I said to her
“Don’t worry about it. Look, I will be there too. Look, Cab is also come. I am also ready. I will be there for you in bar. You just go and enjoy yourself and don’t worry okay. I will be there with you only.” Surbhi said making me confident.
“Okay, let’s go then.” I said and about to go when I hear Surbhi is shouting
“Waitttttt, I forgot something” She said and started to search in her almira.
“Now what you forgot?” I asked in confusion
She locked her almirah and looked at me with wide smile and her both hands are back side. I squeezed my eyes, trying to understand now what she is going to do with me.
“This holy water” She said and showed me. My eyes got wide
“What the…..” I was about to say when I just started to drink what she is showing me. I gulped the whole bottle in a sec. actually I didn’t drink by myself. She just put the bottle in my mouth and holds my chin tightly.
I started to cough. I never drink this and she just made me drink the whole bottle in a sec.
“What the hell Surbhi. You know very well I don’t drink these types of things.” She made me drink beer actually.
“It just a beer babe. It will not harm your health and it’s healthy.” She said showing me her 32 teeth.
“Beer and that to be healthy. Beer is beer and like this nothing is healthy.” I complained to her. I guess something is happening in my stomach area.
“Shut up. Trust me it will boost your confidence. Now let’s go.” She holds my hand and we came outside. She locked her main door and before we sit inside the cab. She clicked the front cab picture then she click driver’s picture and then we sit inside the car. I got confused that why she clicked pictures like this.
“Why you clicked pictures like this?”
“Look babe, We live in Mumbai and for girls it’s not safe to go alone that to be in night or early in the morning. Due to the increases of rape and murder case. So before we sit inside the cab, taxi or rickshaw we just send the simple text on this number and what you have to send is only car plate number. I clicked those pictures for my safety. Now you get it?” Surbhi explained this and my jaw dropped
“I didn’t know about it. You are smart babe.” I am really got surprised with this
“Actually about this every girl should know.” Surbhi said and I just nodded my head
“You are right beta; I have a daughter too who lives in Bangalore for her studies. I will tell this to her as well.” Cab driver said and we smiled at his statement
Every girl should know about this and in their district or state they should search these numbers on google so that whenever they travel alone in late nights then they can contact these numbers and it will help her to feel safe because some numbers also helped police to track their exact locations.
After half an hour we reached one of the clubs. The rock and roll club. This is one of the best clubs in Mumbai. I am sitting inside the cab and looking at the club. Because it’s my first time to go like this and that to be in club.
I am looking at the surrounding, boys and girls are standing. Some are waiting for their partners and some are chit chatting, clicking pics, couples are kissing outside.
“Baby, you just want to sit like this or want to come as well.” Surbhi said and I looked at her who is waiting for me outside. I stepped outside the cab. Surbhi hold my hand and we both go inside and I can feel everyone’s attention is on me and I am feeling nervous.
“Look at you girl, you are gaining so many attentions already. Not bad not bad.” Surbhi said and I just shook my head by looking at her. We both came inside and now my heart started to beat fast.
Inside the club I can see the different lightings. Dj are here and people are dancing crazily on the floor forgetting about the worries. There is a bar section where lots of drinks are available. Couples are kissing and touching. Hookah are also there. I looked at my surrounding and just a word left from my mouth
“Wow” I never came here nor I did parties and now I am thinking why I wasted my so much fun? Surbhi was right, live your life happily.
“Aru, I am going there my boyfriend is here. You go and enjoy and if there is anything I will be right there.” Surbhi shouted because of loud music and I nodded my head in understanding. She went there to meet her boyfriend and I looked at my surrounding to search for my classmates.
My some classmates are on the dance floor and some are enjoying hookah. I started to search Arun. Where is he? I am searching him when my eyes fell on upstairs and there his gang is drinking and laughing. I also saw Manila who is wearing a very short black dress. Her boobs are visible clearly and she is sitting beside Arun. I am hurt but leave it. He is not my boyfriend and not even my friend. Hell he doesn’t even know my name. Forget him.
I guess beer is working on my body and I am feeling energetic all of the sudden. I am feeling good which I never felt before. Then I was about to go when all of the sudden my eyes fell on a couple. I was going towards them. I stood in front of them and looked shocked by looking at him.
My boyfriend Amit is kissing some other girl. This makes me feel bad but not too much. I don’t know why? But still he cheated on me. I went near her and shouted at him
“Amit” he looked at me with his wide eyes and get shocked like he saw some alien here
“Arpi…Arpita…I-I” He was about to say but a girl cut him off
“Who the hell she is” The same girl asked me to whom he was kissing. I looked at her from top to bottom. She is wearing short red dress with red lipstick.
“Well, I am no one to him.” I said folded my arms around my chest and went from there. I sat on one of the bar stool.
“Surbhi was right. He is a cheater. Why I even trusted him?” I murmured myself. I look at the bar section and ordered beer.
I gulped in one go. I am so angry right now. I was drinking it when from upstairs Arun said something on mic
“Good evening fresherssssss. I hope you are enjoying the party.” He saying excitedly and all the members from our college started to hoot and I am just taking a sip of my beer.
“Why don’t we play game guys? Want to play?” He asked and everyone saying yes
“Okay so the game is very easy. You can look at the corner. There are two chairs and between the chairs, one table is present. Any two of you will sit in front of each other and will drink shots. Important note guys this game is for girls because boys are good in digesting the shots but girls can’t.” He said and every boy started to hoot and I rolled my eyes. Bullshit.
“So whoever will win this game, will have a chance to go on a date with meeeeee” Arun said and this time girls shouted. I think no one didn’t notice me which is good for me. I look at upstairs and I saw Manila said something in his ear and by hearing her he chuckle.
I know what she said to him “Just wait and watch I will win this game” I am sure she said this to him. She can say these sentences to him. Bloody looser. What the hell why I am saying this to her? From when I started to speak these words? Shit! I guess beer is doing something.
So, the whole club is booked for us and the inside hall is booked for outsiders that’s why Surbhi is nowhere to be found. Maybe she is enjoying her date with her boyfriend.
Arun and his gang came downstairs and stood near the table where the game will play. Everyone stood around the table but still I can see the table from the bar. I am just sitting there and I think no one still noticed me. Well good for me.
First Arun’s friend Mahesh divided girls in two groups. Total groups are 5. First group came and sit in front of each other. Waiter came with two trays of shots and serve them. Both the girls started to drink but one girl stood up from her seat and another one wins. This happens with four groups. Now on top 5, 5 girls reached.
Shruti, Sriti, Ruby, Manila and Kavya.
First two girls came and sit in front of each other. Shruti and Sriti started to drink and then Shruti stood from her chair. Then in front of Sriti, Ruby sit and then Ruby wins this round and Sriti is out now. In front of Ruby, Manila sits and started to drink and after two trays Ruby also stood. Now the match is between Manila and Kavya. Kavya sits in front of Manila and they both started to drink. After 3 trays of shots Kavya stood up and this game wins Manila.
“Yeahhhhh, Yes, yes. I knew it that I will win. I told you this earlier babe. I will be the one to go with you on date.” Manila said and she hugged him and everyone is clapping. She doesn’t look good with Arav and also this is the great chance for me to go on a date with Arun. I think it’s time for being selfish.
“I am still here guys……” I said and everyone turned their head towards me and looked shocked.
