Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11

Riley's POV

Ms. Parker, you're late!" Creed's baritone voice stopped me on my track causing my heart to flutter at the sound of his voice.

Stepping into English class the next morning, I was eleven minutes late. I had gotten home a little bit past nine and thankfully, Mum wasn't back, maybe her boyfriend she is yet to disclose his name loved having her around. I was happy she was finally moving on from Dad. I didn't have to eat again 'cause Creed had stuffed me full with the large pepperoni pizza and Pet Coke he ordered for us.

I lay awake reminiscing about the moment of shared passion between us. Thinking about why he doesn't believe in love. Did he once believe in love and got betrayed by the one he loved or he was just trying to put some sort of boundary between us and still be able to move on as if nothing happened at the end of our week?

Whatever the case was I must try not to fall for his charms. But can I ignore his smiles, his arrogant smirk, the way his emerald eyes crinkled when he laughed, or his baritone voice? Uhhh. God take pity on me!

I woke up with a slight discomfort between my legs reminding me that I gave up my V-card to Creed the previous night. I could still feel a tingling sensation in my pussy. Noticing how weird I was walking I made a mental note to take out time to prep myself on how to walk normally again.

I had put extra effort into curling my hair before giving it a center part and for the first time, I was glad at how short our school skirt was.

Mum didn't come home last night. When I missed the second bus, I knew I'd miss homeroom and be late for the first period which happened to be with Creed.

"I'm sorry Mr. Creed, it won't happen again." Glancing at him, I was met with his passive look. Alright, teacher mood I smirked mentally.

"I hate tardy but since it's your first time coming late to my class, I'll let it slide. Sit." His deep voice was just as passive as his face.

"Thank you, sir." Giving him a subtle wink, I gave him a wide grin placing my hand over my heart in a dramatic way. Turning away I plopped down on the empty seat beside Kacey in the middle of the class.

"Doesn't seem like you to miss homeroom." Kacey directed at me. Peeking at her, I opened my bag and pulled out my textbook flipping it to the chapter that was about phrasal verbs.

"Yeah!" I dragged out "I woke up late and I thought Mum would drop me off but surprise, surprise she slept out." I groaned slumming into my seat.

"Have you met the guy yet?" She quizzed me about my mother's mysterious boyfriend turning her head slightly to look at me.

"Ha! You're talking about meeting the guy when I don't even have the honor of knowing his name." I pretended to be scribbling in my notebook. "Guy's a mystery," I mumbled peering around the room. Big mistake.

Selena Woods had her eyes narrowed at me like she was trying to read me when she noticed I caught her staring she sneered at me "The teacher's pet crawled in late today." She folded her arms on her table before leaning forward. "Did mummy Parker also leave you behind like loser Parker? Oh, Daddy Parker." She snickered. My face fell at the jab she threw about my mother, I couldn't care less about my father, he was the loser who walked away from his family for another.

"Way to go, girl." Linda chimed in slapping her palm with Selena's.

"Don't listen to them" Kacey whispered behind me.

"Is our little slut about to cry? You didn't cry enough when Daddy ran away?" Selena chided.

"Ms. Woods, do you mind sharing with us what the issue over there is?"

"It's nothing, sir, I was just asking Riley if she wouldn't mind sharing her chemistry note with me for comparison?" That was the best her dumb brain could come up with.

"You'll need to borrow brain from Tory and Linda before you can understand my notes. Wait, y'all are brainless." I said it loud enough for her and everyone around but Creed to hear. A silent chuckle could be heard from the students around, but Selena's mouth fell open in embarrassment.

"Riley?"

"It's in my locker, Mr Creed."

"You two shouldn't disturb my class again," Creed warns before he resumes his lessons.

"You will pay for what you just said little whore." Selena threatened but I zoned her out giving Creed my undivided attention.

Soon, it was time for lunch the bell went off and everyone dashed out of the boring AP mathematics class. As a straight A student I picked some AP classes.

I walked over to the vendor and ordered a burrito and a Pepsi before making my way to the side of the cafeteria.

"Eww! Dog food," Tory said standing by my table, making me roll my eyes at her. What a hypocrite.

"I would die if I had to eat that." Selena's irritating voice followed.

I put the burrito in my mouth taking a big bite before sarcastically moaning at them. "Looks like you're about to die of starvation, Tory." I jabbed at her remembering the few times I saw her hide from Selena to eat her burger.

"And why would I want to put that in my mouth?" She made a disgusting face pointing a finger at my burrito.

"I get it burgers and burritos suddenly become disgusting when your goddess is in front of you." I give her a pointed look "But gets tasty when you're hiding in a toilet stall to snack on it. It's quite pathetic if you ask me." She trembled when Selena turned to glare at her.

"Is that true?" She sneered at her.

"N-nn- no. You can- know how I- I hate bur- burgers, I can't even stand the sight of- of- of burritos."

"Do you think we're stupid?" Linda butted in crossing her hand over her chest and glaring up at Tory. It was nowhere near Tory's 5"9 height. It was funny how she was glaring up at Tory though

"I do. I do think you girls are stupid." I couldn't help but throw in smirking at them.

"Stay in your lane, teacher's pet. No one cares about what you think." Selena snapped before turning to face Tory again.

Pointing an accusatory finger at her. "Everyone knows you stutter when you lie. Did you honestly think WE WOULDN'T FIND OUT?" Selena shrieked making the whole cafeteria go silent.

"Selena you have to believe me I hate bur- burgers I-I- I uhh I do. You can't believe anything she says." She held onto Selena's hand trying to get past her anger

"Not only did you eat the food that we all agreed to never eat, but you also went to eat in THE TOILET! TOILET? REALLY? JUST HOW DISGUSTING CAN YOU GET?" She pushes her hand off of hers.

"What I don't understand is why you would say you hate something when in the actual you don't." Linda furrowed her brows "You broke a part of our friendship code." She finished stepping away from her the hurt she felt was fully displayed on her face.

For once, I was happily munching on my burrito while watching the drama unveiling before me. Did I feel bad for Tory? Not even the slightest.

"Pigs don't dine on the table." Selena growled at Tory before turning to Linda "Let's go." They both walked away. After taking a few steps Selena stopped, tilted her head slightly, and said "Pig" before storming off.

Embarrassed, Tory burst into tears running off in the direction of the restroom.

I laughed knowing that it won't be long before her face would trend on the student's channel and social media.

"Did I miss something?" I looked up to find Kacey looking around puzzled.

"Oh, you did. You missed a whole episode of the Tory's fall not to worry it'll be online soon." I laughed.

We talked about the new students that just got transferred in. I wasn't sure I'd share any classes with the twins but we'll just have to wait and see.
