Chapter 48: Might be the End
~Seth
From what I had seen with my parents, I was stunned into silence.
Great! I am sure as hell that my eye's not playing tricks on me.
Sending it all from the back of my head, I start finding Isla remembering where I last saw Luzy had gone.
I heard sobs coming from the glass door at the end of the corridor as I followed the deserted corridor. I jogged towards that door, but what I saw made my heart stop and my knees weaken.
I noticed Isla unconsciously lying in a pool of blood, with Luzy sobbing at her side. She heard me coming and looks at me with a tear streaming on her eyes.
What happened? My gaze turned into the blinking monitor: "FORMAT COMPLETED."
Looks like Luzy's back, she quickly got up and ushered to me. I was about to shout at her, but she grabbed the hem of my shirt and lowered her knees.
"Please, whoever you are. I’m begging you, please help my twin." She begged. I yanked her arms forcibly, causing her to stand awkwardly. She whimpered and recoiled sobbing loudly.
I shove her and dash over to Isla's body, scooping her head and placing it on my lap before checking to see if she's still alive.
"What the hell happened here?" I snarled at Luzy, and she writhed slightly in response to my tone, but she answered it anyway.
"I don't know, I just woke up and saw her fall down and... and I found myself in this condition." She responded while wiping the tears on her face looking down at her bloodied self.
I silently thanked God as I leaned my head on Isla's chest and heard her faint heartbeat. I got to my feet and carried her in my arms.
She lost a lot of blood, I need to get the hell out of here. We were about to leave when a sarcastic clap echoed around the room, and I heard Luzy's shuffling footsteps behind me.
"Tsk, looks like that little bitch found a way to reformat my master piece." A voice spoke out coming from nowhere. I turned around to see where his voice had come from, but there was no one else around except the three of us.
"Who are you?" I barked, and a devious laugh boomed, followed by footsteps advancing.
"There." Luzy uttered silently behind me, pointing to a specific spot on the mirrored wall. I stared at it intently as it shrank then glided up, revealing a man who resembled Tito Harry, except he had a burnt scar on his face.
"Hello, you must be Seth I presume." He greeted with snideness. I clench my jaw knowing that this man is the main reason of all this shits. He must be Lino, the one Tito Harry is referring to.
"Oh, and by the way, my name is Lino, and the girl you're carrying and the one behind you are my nieces. Now hand them over to me, and I promise not to hurt you." He bargained, and I held Isla tightly and took a step back as a sign that I would not agree with him.
"Don't get any closer. You bastard!" I spat at him with venom. I want to fight but I can’t put Isla down, she’s bleeding non stop.
"You don't call me that!" He seethed, and I smirked at him, knowing I had hurt his pride, but it all went away when he drew his gun and pointed it at us.
"I spent over ten fucking years creating you, and now what? You're nothing more than a useless piece of crap." He hollered at Luzy, who is hiding behind me.
I can feel her trembling in terror. A gunshot rang out, but it wasn't from Lino. Instead, I noticed Tito Harry walking in front of us, pointing a gun at his brother.
"Lino, leave my daughters alone! You're mad at me so don't involve my children in this!" He spoke then turned to me.
"Seth, please take them out of here and..." He looked me in the eyes, then to Isla.
"Take good care of my daughter with your life. Thank you for saving my daughter. For being here. " He sincerely said.
"I'm not here for your daughter..." He gave me an odd look, but I gave him a reassuring smile.
"I'm here for my fiancée." I added, I may sound cheesy but that's the truth. I'm not here for anyone other than Isla.
"Enough of the dramas." Lino snarled and snapped at us all.
"Well, hello there, my brother."
Tito Harry look at me first saying us to leave, which I obediently oblige, we exited the place making sure that the coast is clear.
When we got out, I noticed Kiro standing outside with his body covered in blood, but it seems not to be his.
"R-Ranshio? What happened to her?" He quickly asked and attempted to take Isla from my grasp.
"Don't touch her. You take care of her." I snap at him, tilting my head to look at Luzy behind me; he looked surprised when he saw Luzy.
"Who is she?" He inquired.
"You ask her, she's not mute." I irritably responded to him, heard him hiss and mumble something in Japanese, and escorted Luzy to our van.
We rushed to the hospital owned by a friend of Dad. When we arrived, they immediately took care of us.
"Sir, you're only allowed up to here." The nurse informed me, and I was about to protest when I was restrained by a firm hand.
I look down to see Luzy, but her gaze is fixed on the door where they took Isla.
We waited nearly two hours and still had no word on what was going on inside.
"Will you please sit down?" I turned to Kiro with a frown, I haven't noticed myself pacing back and forth.
I sighed and sat down next to Luzy. The doctor eventually came in less than ten minutes. I stood up right away, as did Luzy and Kiro.
"How was she, Doc?" Kiro immediately inquired, beating me to it.
"To tell you the truth, her condition got worse. She’s still losing a lot of, and her body is rejecting the blood we're giving her. There's something unusual on her system." He solemnly informed us.
Fuck! Damn that fucking experiment he conducted on her.
I groan in frustration, punching the wall next to me.
"Doc, she's my twin. We share the same blood. Take mine instead." I snap my head to Luzy in her sudden offer.
"Are you sure? She requires a large amount of blood, which may have depleted you." Kiro was right. Isla had lost a lot of blood, and it was impossible for Luzy to live if she gave her blood to her twin.
"Yes, even if it costs my life."
