Chapter 46: Luzy
~Isla / Tricia
I felt like I was floating in a fluid that surrounded me. The only thing that causes me to breathe is the thing that was tucked into my mouth.
My body was not that exhausted than the last time. What is going on here?
I can't open my eyes, but my other senses have returned to normal except for my hearing. I can feel the fluid shifted, slowly draining until all I can feel is my body soaking wet and the fluid gone. I slumped on the hard surface, but the impact doesn’t hurt.
I became more aware of my surroundings and my hearing improved. I felt someone took the things attached to my body and hoisted me up, laying horizontally on a cushioned object. Which I assume was the same stretcher I was in when I came.
"Master, her body is ready for the procedure. Shall we mount the chip?"
Fuck! They're going to put that shit on my head! I need to get out of here as soon as possible.
"All right, get the chip ready." Lino's voice boomed beside me, and I could feel his calloused hands caressing my cheeks and tracing my tattoo.
"Just a moment, my little Isla, and you'll be mine. You'll be just like your sister." He whispered in my ear.
I just kept myself from attacking him. Will I be Luzy's partner?
Fuck him all the way to hell.
If he can turn my body into his hounds, he'll need more than luck. I own this body, and he can't do anything with it! Even with that fucking chip!
"Master, we must perform the operation." A female voice spoke up.
"Do it as quickly as you can." I could hear the timbre of metal clanging as he spoke. Someone is holding my head, but not as tightly as I expected.
A commotion erupted, followed by shouting and shuffling footsteps. I heard a man barged in panting.
"Something is wrong with our system, Master. Someone appears to have breached it. You have to see it."
"What? Not again. Carry out with the operation without me." Lino gave instructions before departing.
I heard the door opening and closing.
I simply observed their movements by listening, and ensured that only the scientists remained.
I instantly opened my eyes, I couldn't wait for it to adjust the light.
I snatched the thing that’s with in my reach, which happens to be a scalpel from the woman next to me and stabbed it in her eyes.
I yanked it out and dash to the person next to her, who had been holding my head earlier, then plunged it straight to his heart.
I heard shuffling footsteps running away from me. I jumped into the bed, grabbed his collar with my free hand, and slit the scalpel I was holding around his neck. There are only three of them. My vision is still blurry, but I just shook my head and went outside.
When I stepped out of that laboratory room, there was a loud explosion, followed by a ruckus and barking orders.
The building is under attack.
I saw a woman coming my way and she was about to yell when she saw me, but I ran up to her and snapped her head. I took her lab coat and put it on myself. I also tied my hair and wore the white cap I got from her. I was also wearing a surgical mask that I had found in her pocket.
I just opened my eyes occasionally so they couldn't see my eyes. I was able to keep up with the chaos that was going on. I also heard gunshots rained outside the building.
I was hiding my presence when I was bumped into someone.
"Doc, the laboratory isn't here. You must get back and take cover. We are being under attack." An armed man I collided with said, he was taken aback the moment I look into his eyes.
He was about to shout and hit me with a gun, but I slammed my hand to his neck and snatched it from him. I shove the muzzle in his mouth shot him, muffling the sound. The bullet went all the way to the back of his head.
I made certain that no one else saw what I did. I dashed to where everyone was going, but then I remembered Luzy.
Should I go ahead and get her? Should I take her away from here? But that seems unlikely to happen, they had corrupted her mind.
I heard that the chip was controlling her. Maybe I'll be able to do something about it. I leave her once and I thought she was dead but life must be playing at us, she did not die, and now is my chance to save her. She saved me ten years ago, and now I'm going to save her from the quagmire she was in.
I entered a corridor we had passed when they took me to Luzy, and at the end of the long corridor, I saw the familiar glass door.
Shit! How could I past this scanner?
Think Isla, think. I stared for the scanner for a while, shit why I haven't thought of that. I gathered my wit and removed the scanner cover, revealing a tangle of wires.
With my limited knowledge, I removed it one by one and swapped it. I'm hoping this works, putting the last wire through which the glass door slides up.
YES!
I went inside without even a second's hesitation. There was still a large glass box in the center, but Luzy wasn't inside. Maybe she's outside pitching in with Lino.
I quickly went into the main monitor. I saw there all the details of Luzy's movements, her heartbeat, and it was also written their all her actions. A red light beeped in the center of a brain figure. It had to be the chip, I suppose.
I wish I had Pavi with me.
I began typing on the keys, attempting to reprogram the chip or, better yet, format it. While I was busy decoding the data, I heard someone approaching from behind. I didn't stop. I just pretended I hadn't noticed anything.
"Trying to do something?" A familiar female voice spoke up. I paused typing and turned to face her. She pointed her gun at me, aiming for my head.
"Luzy." I whisper to myself, my hand slowly crawled to the gun I put on the table top.
"Oh my loving twin, what are you doing here?" She mocks me without emotion, her dead eyes seeping into my alive one.
"Trying to fix something." I casually stated, In my side view, I noticed the monitor begin processing the data to the formatting bin.
"Really may I know what it is?" Her voice was playful, but her eyes were dead. The sight made me frown. She wasn't like this when we are kids, she's the more cheerful than I am.
"Unfortunately, no." I replied sweetly. I saw that the data had been loaded and that all I had to do was press enter.
Her eyes darted to the monitor and her brows furrowed.
Shit! She'll know what I was up to once I press it. I slowly take my place near the keyboard. She knitted her brows when she realized what I was doing.
I was about to hit the enter key when she grabbed my hair and threw me to the other side.
Fuck! My scalp felt like it was being torn. I hissed at the pain, but I ignored it and stood up. She then began rain fire on me.
I rolled over towards the monitor as I avoided all of the bullets aimed at me. She noticed it and was about to shoot me again but to my luck she ran out of bullets.
"You bitch!" She scream and launched herself to me.
~Seth
When we learned about the location, we immediately devised a strategy for breaking into the area. Everything was in place for our surprise attack. Mr. Valdez's forces had arrived, and I was surprised to see thousands of them marching towards us.
We are heading now into the abandoned pharmaceutical. While Raynel and Pavi focused on breaching the system, which they had done successfully and send us the layout of the building. Axthon and Kiro are standing beside me, both wielding katana, whereas I have only my dagger with me.
As soon as we arrived, all of the men assigned to each location quickly took their positions. We are waiting for our cue to attack, and as they rolled the button bomb inside, we silently counted the five seconds until the loud explosion occurred.
That was our attack cue, and while everyone was fighting, I quietly made my way to the deserted corridor when I spotted a girl who looked like Isla but only had black hair and golden dragon eyes.
Luzy.
I was tailing her, but someone was blocking my path, and look at that! This son of a fucking bitch meets his death.
"Oh, Seth fancy meeting you here." He said friskily, flexing his knuckles.
"Same goes here Mr. Stan or should I say Win-win?" I replied by mocking his actions.
