Chapter 35: I am Isla

~Tricia's

He looked me straight in the eyes, as if he was looking right into my soul. We stood their staring at each other and put into staring contest. Nobody wants to give up. He step forward and stop right at the very front of me, my neck starts to ache because of his dang height.

"It's not her fault, Seth. I brought her here." Axhton spoke from behind him, breaking our staring contest. Before I could blink, Axhton had flown against the wall, Seth clutching his neck.

"You what?!" Seth snarled angrily.

"Fuck Seth, I only did it because she apologized for what she had done to us." He almost choked out his response.

"And you took her word for it!" Seth clenched his teeth before releasing his grip on Axhton's neck.

"Seth, listen she said she was really sorry. I had also heard it." Raynel speaks up this time, defending Axthon and myself. Seth's gaze is drawn to him.

They’re fighting because of me.

To be honest, I'm sincere with my apology, but I didn't expect them to believe me and defend me against Seth.

But what the hell is going on right now? I came here hoping to let off some steam and relax a little, but the opposite happened. Its just stressing me out more.

You know, I just want to drink until my heart's content.

"Raynel, you sided with them?! What now huh? You two against me because of her?" He spits at me, pointing his finger at me.

"Seth-" Axthon didn't finish what he was about to say when Seth grabbed his collar with one hand again, his fist poised to deliver a hard blow to Axthon's face, but it came to a halt when I caught his arm in the midair.

"Seth stop it." I said calmly, I feel the way his body tense up the moment I touch his skin, if only he knows how my heartbeat raising right now.

"Don't. Touch. Me!" Every word he spits has a force to it. He brush off my hands away and turns to face me.

"What are you really planning now, huh?" I can still see the ferocious fires dancing across his eyes as he asked me with his cold voice.

I understand why he's upset with me. I'm aware that the happenings this morning did not go well, in fact, they turned out to be disastrous.

But why does he need to include Axthon and Raynel with his rage for me.

"I didn’t plan anything, okay? I was just being dragged here and was told to say sorry. That is all there is to it." I retaliated by crossing my arms.

"Now, if you don't want to see me, I'll just leave. You don't have to include Axthon and Raynel with your outrage at me." I added, then turned away from them and began walking away.

"Who said you were allowed to leave?!?" When he shouted and I came to a halt.

What on earth does he mean by that? He didn't want me to be here, and now he doesn't want me to leave?

Has he lost his mind?

I was about to say something when I was yanked and hoisted onto his shoulders. Seth is carrying me around like a sack of rice. All I can only see now is his broad back.

"What the hell are you doing?" I screamed in surprise at what he did, and I continued to pound my fist on his back and wiggle, but to no avail.

This guy's really strong.

"Fuck you, Seth, let go of me!" I snarled at his back.

"Seth what are you going to do with her?" Axthon asked with a concern tone.

"BACK OFF, YOU TWO!" He furiously yelled at them.

I still keep wriggling trying to escape with his clamp hold, fuck him!

What is his problem?

He took me upstairs then eventually I heard a twisted knob and we entered. I can't see anything but only his back and my swaying vision of floor.

Muscular scent welcomed us the moment we step-in, so I assumed it's his room. Without a warning, he dropped me on a small wooden chair.

"Ouch!" A whined escapes from me the moment that my butt made contact with the chair.

Can’t he be gentler? My ass hurts so much. I was about to stand up when he pushed me back and placed both of his hands on the back rest, encircling me with his arms. He leaned forward, his gaze fixed on me.

"What exactly are you up to?" He asked bluntly, and I couldn't tell if he was angry or not.

"I told you I wasn't planning anything against you. I was just here to drink and get drunk with myself, but I ended up here." My voice was laced with frustration as I said it. He sighs deeply in front of my face, fanning me with his breath. Does this guy always chew mint?

He really does have minty breath!

Argh! Hell, with this brain. Why am I thinking about his breath?

"Then why did you poison me in the first place?" He asked again, this time more calmly.

"I told you I was bored at the time, and it wasn't really a poison, it wasn't even lethal. I only used those gels for my targets to make them feel death, but it can't really kill a person but can still make them feel like they're dying." I reasoned. His brows knitted and he towered over me, folding his arms on his chest and staring down at me.

Now he looked really pissed.

"You're bored? You nearly killed all of my underlings just because you're bored?" He exclaimed.

“…and frustrated.” I chimed in.

"We're just even," I added, looking at him sternly. I shift my position properly and cross my legs folding my arms on my chest mocking his expression.

"You also toyed with me because you were bored, right?"

I still can't get over what he did to me a few weeks ago, when he announced on campus that I was his fucking fiancée. Pissing me off at school, as well as causing a commotion that delayed me to my major exams.

Well actually, it's unfair on my part because I'm the one who helped him and brought him to the hospital, though I am also the one who caused him that.

“Tsk, this is getting ridiculous. I'd better get going." I stood up, but he grabbed my wrist and spun me around, pinning me against the wall.

"Who in the world is Tricia?" He grated with a serious tone.

It looks like now is the perfect time to tell him what I should have said earlier on my pad. I struggled to break free from his firm grip, and I was successful.

I trailed my way to his massive glass window, turning my back on him.

He did, in fact, have a large bedroom. The king-size bed is in the center, surrounded by four pillars. On the right side, there are two doors, one of which is either the bathroom or the closet, as I suspected.

White long couch on the side with a small coffee table, almost black dominated his room and only the bed covers and couch are white, the rest is black.

He doesn't have much inside his room for such a large space, aside from some weapons displayed on the wall across his bed, such as katana, shuriken, kunai, guns, and daggers.

"Tricia don't exist, she's just a made-up name to conceal who I really am. Patricia Luzineth is not my real name." I confess, there's a flash of pang ran across my chest remembering who really was the owner of that name. The name I can't forget and will always remember. I laugh at the thought of using her name because I still can't get over her death.

"That name belonged to my late twin sister." I added weakly before turning around to face him, but I was surprised to see him now pointing a katana at my neck. I quickly compose myself, as if I was expecting it.

"So, who are you?" He inquired sternly.

"I am Isla."
