Chapter 30 Back at his house

Chapter 30 Back at his house

Nyx's p.o.v

I wasn't thinking, my eyes blurred with unshed tears, tears I could bring myself to let go of. It's bad enough Bianca was noticing Travis and I but worse when Mom and Kent stood on the sidelines watching.

In their case I've always been the third party. I'm done being that, I need my own person and I'm gonna get him.

The initial plan was to take a stroll and probably sketch something on my book but that plan was ditched immediately when I stepped out of that door.

With fervor I marched towards the one house I never thought my legs would lead me to willingly and with the purpose in my head.

The air thickened, the sky warning of an approaching rain pour. Hopefully I get the information quickly and get back home safely before it starts.

My hand reached for the door and I knocked lightly. No response. The day was dark but not too much for him to be sleeping. So I knocked again. This time I heard shuffling of feet and footsteps approaching.

My heart was pounding ferociously as the door knob twisted and I came face to face with him. Pa Paul frowned for a fleeting minute in confusion then that evil smirk crawled up his face.

“I knew you would come back.” He remarked, his words having an opposite effect on me. I was predictable. “Come on in, child.”

How could he call me a child and still have bad intentions towards me?

My chest tightened but regardless, I stepped into the threshold and into the room illuminated with two bulbs.

I didn't go farther into the room, just a few steps away from the door. “Hello sir,” I muttered like a dumb teenager.

Pa Paul leaned on the now closed door, his hand across his chest, as he sized me up, staring so lustfully I began to regret my decision of coming here.

“Is Xavier in?” I asked, to break the silence and calm my fear of being alone here with him.

“In his room praying.” He said the last part like it was a curse. “But we both know it isn't Xavier you came to talk about.”

Impatient.

That I am too.

Anything to lead me away from here as fast as I can.

“You said you know my father, please can you tell me about him and how I can find him.” I rushed out.

Pa Paul chuckled, his hand flew to his gray beard and he massaged religiously, the only underlings to his older age was his gray hair and a few wrinkles other than that the man's fit.

He pushed off the door and walked closer to me, only two steps and our bodies will be pressed against each other.

“Yes, I do know your father but I never said I knew where to find him,” he said, staring intently to my face like it was the only treasure he had seen in a while.

I felt irritated, disgusted even by the attention he was giving me but I was determined to get even the smallest information about my father. Anything to help me in my search for him.

Though slightly disappointed, I said. “Tell me about him please.” I begged.

Pa Paul narrowed his eyes, then he folded his hand once again but this time to his back. “You came at the right time, Nyx.” He said thankfully, still keeping his distance.

I frowned in confusion.

“You know, you are the fairest beauty in this neighborhood. The only one I've seen in over twenty years. You won't fault me for getting a hard on just from thinking about you.” He looked down to his shorts and I followed his gaze as well.

My heart skipped, there it was. This old man's cock straining his shorts begging to be released.

Fear gripped me and I took a step back. He looked back at me, noticing my hesitation. “Look girl, I could take whatever I want right now but that disgrace of a son is inside. He could be out anytime.” He took in a sigh. “So I'm handing you the power and choice.”

I knew it.

I shouldn't have come here.

I'm going to have myself brutally raped.

I mustered up courage as I said.

“Pa Paul, I only came here to get information about my father, if you don't have it, I beg to excuse myself.”

I sidestepped him fearfully, hoping he wouldn't lunge at me as I got closer and closer to the door.

“Anthony.” He blurted out. Causing my movement to halt. “His name is Anthony James,”

I opened my mouth to talk but words failed me. I tried again, this time, my words came out jumbled.

“M…my…. father?”

He nodded.

“Are you…umm sure…”

“You can ask your mom.” He said confidently.”

Anthony James.

The name kept echoing in my head, bouncing around like it was searching for somewhere to land. My father had a name. A real one. Not just a shadow my mother avoided talking about.

I was so lost in that thought that I didn’t notice Pa Paul moving.

I didn’t hear his steps. I didn’t feel the air change. One second there was space between us, the next there wasn’t.

His breath brushed my ear.

“I could tell you more,” he whispered, his voice low, sickeningly calm. “Everything you want to know.”

My body stiffened.

Before I could react, his hand closed around my wrist. Firm. Possessive. He dragged my hand forward and forced it on his cock.

“Only if you help me release,” he murmured.

Fear crashed into me all at once hot, blinding, paralyzing. My stomach twisted violently and my chest constricted as if the room itself was crushing me. Every instinct screamed danger.

No.

I yanked my hand back with all the strength I had, disgust surging through me. My palm connected with his face before my mind could catch up to my body.

Smack.

The sound echoed louder than the thunder outside.

He staggered back, shocked more than hurt, and that single second was all I needed.

I lunged for the door, my fingers fumbling with the knob as panic fueled me. It flew open and I ran barely feeling my feet hit the ground as I burst into the rain.

The sky finally broke, rain pouring down like it had been waiting for me. It soaked my hair, my clothes, my skin but I didn’t slow down.

I didn’t look back.

I ran with my heart in my throat, tears mixing with rain, the name Anthony James clutched
tightly in my mind like the only thing worth salvaging from that nightmare.

Whatever it took…

I would find my father.
