Chapter 105 Chapter 105 - Stay & Watch
Lilly’s POV
The door burst open with a thunderous crack, and Lex stormed inside, eyes wild with fury.
"Lex!" I managed to call out. He came!
Lex’s gaze locked on me, and a mixture of relief and anger crossed his face.
"Ah," Darius said. "Isn't this nice? Alpha Lex decided to join the party."
"Let her go, Darius," Lex snarled, stepping forward.
"Not before I bury myself inside her and ruin that little pussy of hers," Darius taunted.
Lex roared, his eyes flickering black, making Darius smile.
"I guess you want to stay and watch!" Darius said. Before I could react, his hand shot out and yanked me against him, pinning me to his chest. The stench of alcohol and malice clung to him. My heart pounded, panic flooding my veins.
"Let go of me," I yelled, managing to slap his cheek.
Shock twisted his face for a moment before a vile smile settled on his lips.
"Mmmm," he muttered. "Thanks for setting the mood. I love having it rough..."
Fear flashed across my face.
Lex’s voice was a roar, shaking the very walls. “Get your hands off her!”
Darius grinned, cruel and triumphant, holding me tight as if to make a point. “Is this what you came for, Lex? To watch me take what you can't have?” His arms were iron around me, but the worst was the way he leaned down, his hot breath sliding along my skin, and his member pressing hard against my abdomen.
“She smells so delicious,” Darius sneered, and then, to my horror, his tongue traced a slow, deliberate line up the side of my neck. I shivered violently, disgust and terror twisting in my gut. Asena snarled inside me, desperate for escape, but I was trapped.
Lex’s entire body tensed, rage contorting his face. “Let her go, Darius, or I swear—”
But Darius only laughed, licking his lips as if savoring the taste of my fear. “You never could protect your precious Beta's sister, could you, Lex? You’re weak. I just don't understand why you care so much.”
“Get away from her!” Lex thundered, fists clenched, every muscle ready to snap.
Darius pressed his lips to my ear, whispering so only I could hear, “Let’s see if he even cares enough to fight for you. Winner takes all.”
Their eyes locked—hatred and fury burning between the two Alphas, the air crackling with violence. As they traded venomous words, I felt Darius’s grip shift just enough for me to twist free. I wrenched myself out of his arms, stumbling away and pressing myself against the far wall, my body shaking but finally out of his reach.
“Come on, then,” Darius spat at Lex, stepping forward, goading him. “Show me what kind of Alpha you really are.”
Lex didn’t hesitate. With a growl, he launched himself at Darius, shoving him backward with all his strength. Darius staggered, smashing into the bedside table and sending objects tumbling to the floor.
With a roar, Darius lunged at Lex. They collided in the center of the room—fists flying, bodies slamming together with brutal force. Lex fought like a wolf possessed, every punch fueled by a wild mix of love and fury. Darius had the advantage in size, but Lex’s desperation made him relentless.
Pressed against the wall, I trembled, unable to breathe as I watched them. My arms shielded my belly, every muscle taut with fear—for the pups, for Lex, for all of us.
The wind swept in, the windows rattling under the force, the water pipes bursting, and the lights flickering with a sharp buzzing sound.
"Nice trick," Darius bellowed. "But what is it going to do? I have seen your magic—it's weak. You don't know how to control it."
A smile tickled the corner of his lips.
Darius lunged forward, and Lex twisted his wrist. The wind swept Darius off his feet, and he landed on his back with a thud. Darius hissed in pain but got back up, shaking with anger, his face red as he balled his fists.
"Had enough?" Lex asked. "Or do you want more?"
"Enough? Never!" Darius snarled, leaping forward.
Lex just smiled, his fingers twitching, and water ran forward, slicking the floor in a thin layer.
The moment Darius stepped on it, he slipped, and with one final, savage blow from Lex, he sent Darius sprawling.
Darius's head struck the bedside table with a sickening thud, and he went limp, finally still.
Lex stood over him, chest heaving, blood dripping from his knuckles, every muscle rigid and ready for more. The room suddenly stilled—the wind died down, the lights stopped flickering, the shaking ceased, and the floors were desert-dry. There was no sign of what had actually transpired inside.
Zack rushed in, eyes wide, taking in the chaos. "What the fck happened in here?"
Everything inside was destroyed.
“Lilly! Lex!” Zack finally got over his shock and hurried closer.
Lex didn’t even hear him. He was still focused on Darius.
Zack whipped out his phone, already barking orders. “Guards! Get up here now! Darius has escaped—he needs to be taken straight back to the dungeon!”
Five huge guards stormed in moments later, hauling the unconscious Alpha away. Zack followed to make sure Darius was restrained, leaving Lex and me alone in the charged silence of the room.
I sagged in relief, only then noticing Lex’s eyes. They were no longer the silver, familiar color I loved—now, they were pools of black, swirling with something wild. He inhaled sharply, nostrils flaring as if catching a scent that sent him spiraling.
"The incense," Asena muttered.
Suddenly, I was far too conscious of Lex—the adrenaline wearing off. His power, his presence, the way he looked at me as if I were the only thing anchoring him to the world.
“Lex?” I whispered, my voice trembling—not with fear, but with something deeper, more primal.
He took a shaky step toward me, his entire focus pinned on me, his breathing ragged and desperate. “Lilly, I… I can’t—something’s wrong—I can’t stop—”
His mouth crashed onto mine, urgent and hungry, and I melted against him. The world spun away, the tension and terror replaced with something fiery and overwhelming. The bond between us snapped taut, impossible to resist. Whatever drugged the air, it pulled us both under, stoking a fire that blazed out of control.
We tumbled onto the bed, tangled together, the room spinning. Every touch, every kiss, was desperate and wild—driven by a need for safety, for love, for life. In Lex’s arms, with the memory of danger still fresh, I let myself surrender, clinging to the only thing that mattered: the feeling of being alive and the man who would do anything to protect me.
