The return from their honeymoon marked a new chapter in Sierra and Jeandre’s life, but neither of them was prepared for just how emotional, joyful, and momentous it would be.
The private jet touched down in Germany just after dawn, sunlight glinting off the frost-kissed tarmac. Jeandre held Sierra’s hand tightly, having noticed how quiet she’d become on the flight. There had been moments of hesitation, a few prolonged glances, and a small smile she wore that he couldn’t quite read. It wasn’t until they got home—back to the estate that had witnessed the first flickers of their impossible love—that Sierra sat him down in the master bedroom, her fingers intertwined with his.
“I’m pregnant,” she whispered, barely able to contain her emotion. “Jeandre, we’re having twins.”
At first, there was a stunned silence. Jeandre blinked, his hands still cradling hers. Then, slowly, the reality sank in. His features lit up in the most breathtaking way—equal parts shock, awe, and uncontainable joy. He didn’t say anything. Instead, he pulled Sierra into his arms and held her so tightly it was as if he feared she might disappear.
“Twins,” he murmured into her hair. “You’ve just given me the greatest gift twice over.”
They stayed in that moment a while—two people forever changed, wrapped in the warmth of something bigger than them.
That same evening, they called Elena first. She’d been anxiously awaiting their return from the honeymoon, fussing with things around the estate just to keep busy. When Sierra and Jeandre broke the news, Elena burst into tears—happy tears. She placed both hands over her mouth and sank into the nearest chair, whispering prayers and blessings in between sobs.
“You’re going to be a mother, and I’m going to be a grandmother to twins,” she said, beaming. “My heart… my heart is so full.”
By the next day, Jeandre had arranged for a private dinner at the estate with close family members. He wanted the announcement to be made in person—no press, no headlines. Just loved ones gathered around a long oak table filled with laughter, wine, and soft candlelight. Sierra’s grandparents attended, along with her uncles, aunts, cousins, and nieces, many of them meeting Jeandre’s extended family for the first time.
As Sierra stood to make the announcement, holding a glass of sparkling water while everyone else held champagne, the room fell into a respectful hush.
“There’s another reason we wanted you all here tonight,” she said. “Well, I …..”, she turned around to look at Jeandre and he nodded to her in encouragement, “I’m pregnant. Jeandre and I are expecting twins.”
The room erupted. Her grandfather clapped both hands together and shouted in praise. Her aunts shrieked with excitement. Her younger cousins ran to hug her, all trying to press their palms against her barely-there baby bump. Jeandre’s sister looked surprised but smiled, offering her heartfelt congratulations. His mother was more reserved but nodded graciously.
But Jeandre’s father—always the composed patriarch—rose from his chair, walked over to Sierra, and kissed her forehead.
“May your children bring more honor, joy, and success to this family,” he said solemnly.
Within twenty-four hours, the news had spread across their inner circles. The couple hadn’t planned to go public with the pregnancy so soon, but with the way information traveled in their world, it was inevitable.
By Monday morning, Sierra’s inbox was overflowing. Well-wishes poured in from fellow interns, senior partners, Jeandre’s board members, and international business partners alike. Some of the messages were heartfelt:
“We always knew Sierra was destined for greatness. Now she’s building a family, too. What an inspiration.”
Others were funny:
“Jeandre’s kids are going to be negotiating merger terms in the womb at this rate.”
At Caddel Financial Group, the atmosphere felt like a celebration. The boardroom was decorated with balloons and a banner that read, “Welcome Back, Mrs. Caddel & Congrats on the Babies!” Debra, who had once been Sierra’s adversary, even brought in cupcakes with little blue and pink question marks. The office buzzed with excitement. No one talked about numbers or stocks that morning—they were too busy guessing baby names and planning a future baby shower.
Jeandre had never looked prouder. He walked with an extra stride in his step, constantly checking in on Sierra, making sure she was comfortable, hydrated, and not overworked. He even had a new plush armchair delivered to her office. “You’re not just my fiancée anymore,” he joked. “You’re a national treasure carrying precious cargo.”
Sierra handled the attention with grace. She remained grounded and humble, deflecting too much praise but always grateful. She and Reina had a long call that evening, where Reina squealed with excitement for nearly ten minutes straight.
“I’m going to be Auntie Reina!” she shouted. “And twins? This is the stuff of fairytales. You and Jeandre are ridiculous.”
“You should’ve seen his face when I told him,” Sierra said, laughing. “He couldn’t even form a sentence.”
“Record that for the next time he tries to win an argument,” Reina teased. “I want it framed.”
Back at the estate, celebrations continued for days. Gifts started arriving from all over the country—personalized baby clothes, golden rattles, hand-painted nursery murals, even an offer from a high-profile interior designer to transform their spare room into a dream nursery. The estate staff, long accustomed to the family’s quiet elegance, shared in the joy with genuine affection. Mrs. Bent, Jeandre’s longtime PA, gave Sierra a handmade knit blanket and a tearful hug.
“You’ve changed this house,” she said. “And now, you’re bringing even more life into it.”
By the end of the week, magazines had caught wind of the news. Front pages read:
“Business Royalty Expands: Jeandre Caddel and Wife Sierra Expecting Twins!”
“The Caddel Legacy Grows: Two Heirs on the Way”
Sierra had become more than just a former intern or Jeandre’s fiancée. She was an icon now—admired for her strength, resilience, humility, and now, her growing family. And through all the glitz, the headlines, the champagne toasts, and the designer nursery planning, Sierra remained true to who she was: a daughter, a partner, and soon, a mother—grateful for the life she never dreamed she’d have, and ready for the next chapter of love, chaos, and joy.
