Chapter 120 An Expensive Gift
Jasmine shoved the guy's hand away, making the drink in his glass spill and create a weird splash under the dim lights.
"What the hell are you doing?" the guy yelled, grabbing her wrist.
"Let go of me!" Jasmine struggled, but he was too strong.
"Feisty, huh? I like that," he said, leaning in for a kiss.
Jasmine freaked out and screamed, "Security! Security!"
The bar's security rushed over and yanked the guy away from her.
"Get away from me!" Jasmine glared at him, her eyes blazing with anger.
As security dragged him out, he spat, "You bitch! Just wait!"
Jasmine took a deep breath to calm down and walked out of the bar.
The night breeze was cool, blowing away the smell of alcohol but not her frustration. She wandered along the beach, letting the waves wash over her feet.
The sea breeze messed up her long hair, but she didn't care. She just stared at the dark ocean, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a rough voice broke the silence. "You bitch, waiting for me here?"
Jasmine spun around to see the guy from the bar coming at her with a nasty grin.
"What do you want?" she asked, stepping back cautiously.
He sneered, "What do you think?"
He grabbed her arm, and she tried to dodge but couldn't.
"Let go of me!" she struggled, but it was no use.
"Help! Help!" she screamed, but the only response was the sound of the waves.
The guy laughed and pushed her against a coconut tree. Jasmine closed her eyes in despair.
"Stop!" A voice rang out, and a tall figure appeared, shoving the guy away from her.
The guy, startled, looked at the newcomer and snapped, "Who the hell are you? Mind your own business!"
"Get lost! Now!" the newcomer said coldly, his gaze sharp as a knife.
The guy wanted to say more but was scared off by the newcomer's presence and slunk away.
Jasmine, still shaken, looked up at her savior.
"Are you okay?" he asked with concern.
In the moonlight, she saw he was a very handsome man with short blond hair, deep blue eyes, and a high nose bridge, like a Greek god.
"I'm fine, thank you," Jasmine said, her cheeks flushing slightly, unsure if it was from fear or his charm.
"My name's Clemens Green. And you?" Clemens asked with a charming smile.
"I'm Jasmine Faye."
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Faye," Clemens said, giving a gentlemanly bow.
Jasmine smiled shyly, and Clemens looked at her, a hint of admiration in his eyes.
"It's getting late. Let me walk you back," Clemens offered.
"No need, I can..." Jasmine started to refuse, but Clemens cut her off.
"It's not safe for a girl to walk alone at night. Let me take you," Clemens insisted.
Jasmine hesitated but eventually nodded.
They walked side by side on the beach, the sea breeze playing with their hair, the moonlight casting a silver glow, making everything seem perfect.
"Are you here on vacation too?" Jasmine asked, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, I'm here with my family," Clemens replied.
"I see," Jasmine nodded, feeling a bit down, thinking he was married.
"Why are you here alone? Where's your family?" Clemens asked.
Jasmine briefly explained what had happened, and Clemens frowned slightly after hearing it.
"That guy was a jerk! Are you sure you're okay?" Clemens asked with concern.
"I'm fine, thank you for saving me," Jasmine said gratefully.
"No need to thank me. It's my duty to protect a beautiful lady," Clemens said, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.
They chatted as they walked, soon arriving at the hotel entrance.
"Thanks for walking me back, Mr. Green," Jasmine said, stopping and turning to Clemens.
"You're welcome, Ms. Faye. It was nice meeting you. I hope to see you again," Clemens said with a smile.
"I was glad to meet you too, Mr. Green," Jasmine replied politely, then walked towards the hotel.
Clemens watched Jasmine enter the hotel, only turning to leave once she was out of sight.
The next morning, sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting dappled shadows on the soft carpet.
Isabella rubbed her sleepy eyes and noticed Alexander was already gone. She ruffled her messy hair, jumped out of bed barefoot, and opened the balcony door.
The warm sea breeze, with a faint scent of salt, hit her face. Feeling quite comfortable, Isabella narrowed her eyes, then saw Alexander standing on the balcony, talking on the phone. Though he was dressed in simple white casual clothes, he still exuded an impressive presence and strong aura.
"Proceed as planned," Alexander's voice was deep and magnetic, his tone carrying undeniable authority.
Isabella tiptoed behind him, then gently wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek against his broad back. She asked playfully, "Alexander, who are you talking to?"
Feeling her touch, Alexander smiled warmly, holding her hand. "Just some company stuff. You're awake? Why not sleep a bit more?"
"I've slept enough. I want to go see the ocean with you now!" Isabella looked up, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Alright, whatever you say," Alexander said indulgently, tapping her nose playfully before taking her hand and leading her outside.
They strolled along the pristine beach, leaving two sets of footprints in the sand. Isabella, like a happy little bird, occasionally bent down to pick up pretty shells and joyfully chased the waves, her laughter mingling with the sea breeze.
"Alexander, look at this shell. It's so beautiful!" Isabella held up a pink shell, showing it to Alexander like a prized treasure.
Alexander took the shell, examined it, and smiled. "It is beautiful, just like you."
Isabella's cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "You're just teasing me!"
"I'm always sincere," Alexander said, stopping to look at her, his eyes filled with deep affection.
Isabella felt a bit shy under his gaze and lowered her head. "What's wrong, Alexander?"
"Nothing, just thinking how lucky I am to have married you," Alexander said, gently pulling her into his arms.
Isabella nestled against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, feeling a sweet warmth in her heart.
At that moment, a little boy holding a large bouquet of red roses ran up to Isabella and said in a sweet, childlike voice, "Beautiful lady, these flowers are for you!"
Isabella paused, took the bouquet, and asked, "Why are you giving me flowers?"
The little boy blinked and said innocently, "The man next to you asked me to give them to you. He said today is your birthday. Happy birthday!"
Isabella suddenly remembered it was her birthday! She had been so busy with her studies that she had forgotten, but Alexander remembered.
"Thank you," Isabella said to the boy. Then she looked up, her eyes filled with tears, and said, "Thank you, Alexander."
Alexander smiled gently, took her hand, and they continued walking.
Along the way, strangers kept popping up, handing over various gifts—exquisite cakes, adorable stuffed animals, and sparkling jewelry.
Isabella was overwhelmed by the surprises. She kept asking, "Alexander, did you arrange all this?"
Alexander just smiled mysteriously, holding her hand as they walked further down the beach.
Finally, they arrived at a spot surrounded by flowers and candlelight. In the center was a large heart-shaped pattern made of countless vibrant rose petals, looking incredibly romantic.
"Alexander, this is..." Isabella covered her mouth in surprise, her eyes glistening with tears.
"Happy birthday, my love," Alexander said tenderly, pulling out a delicate box from his pocket. He opened it to reveal a dazzling diamond ring.
"Will you marry me? This is the proposal ceremony I owe you," Alexander knelt on one knee, his eyes filled with intensity and love.
Isabella couldn't hold back her tears. She choked up, "Alexander, you..."
"I know you haven't graduated yet. So after you graduate, I'll give you a grand wedding so the whole world knows you're my wife," Alexander said, taking the ring from the box and gently placing it on her finger.
"Alexander, I love you!" Isabella threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly.
Alexander held her close, then kissed her. At that moment, time seemed to stand still, with only the sound of the waves witnessing their love.
"By the way, there's one more gift for you," Alexander said, releasing her and taking out a document from his pocket, handing it to her.
"What's this?" Isabella asked, puzzled.
"Open it and see," Alexander said with a smile.
Curious, Isabella slowly opened the document. When she saw its contents, her eyes widened in shock. "This... this is..."
"Yes, the deed to this island. From now on, this island belongs to you," Alexander said, his eyes full of affection.
"Alexander, why are you giving me such an expensive gift?" Isabella asked, her eyes welling up with tears of gratitude.
"Because you're my sunshine, and you deserve the best of everything," Alexander said, staring at her intently, his eyes filled with love.
Isabella couldn't control her emotions any longer. She threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly as her tears soaked his shirt. "Alexander, thank you. I love you!"
"I love you too, my darling," Alexander replied, holding her close.
