Come to Party

No one knew that during the party, Samuel was watching Yerenika with great interest. From the first glance, the girl had captured his heart. It felt so good when he saw her, her smile even rubbed off on him. But he had to hold back from falling in love with the girl. Because the Moon Goddess did not make him smell the pheromones of Yerenika.

So Samuel turned his gaze towards Curtis and Swana who were dancing. There was a happy smile on both of their lips. As envy set in, Samuel began to desire a soulmate.

"Am I not destined to have a partner?" Samuel asked.

He was sad that his Luna did not appear soon. Even though he had traveled around the kingdom of Arta or Sinclair many times. But there was not a single girl who had special pheromones for him.

"It's time for us to go. I don't want you to get tired," Curtis said.

"Yes, I don't want to stand for long either. "

Swana signaled Noel. The young man in his twenties soon arrived.

"We will go home and come again when your coronation ceremony is ready," Swana said.

"Alright, goodbye. "

Swana nodded and took Curtis' arm. The two of them stepped towards the hall gate to go home.

All the nobles immediately saluted as Curtis and Swana passed by. And after Swana and the others were out of sight, there was an explosion of talk among the nobles.

"This is amazing. The throne has finally returned to its rightful heir!" Jacob shouted enthusiastically.

"Congratulations Prince. You will soon be emperor."

This time it was Eros who shouted. All the nobles picked up their wine glasses. They raised them high to toast Noel's coronation as king.

"Congratulations!"

"Cheers!"

Of course, the purpose of the nobles celebrating Noel's coronation plan was not out of loyalty. It was more about self-interest. They knew that they would not be able to control or influence Swana. So they thought that Noel would be much easier to influence. All for the sake of maintaining their power. Although some nobles were truly loyal to the previous emperor.

On the train, Swana rests her head against Curtis' chest. She savored the moment that was lost due to Curtis' anger.

"Thank you for giving in and trusting me again," Swana whispered.

"No, I should have known that you were stressed with all the responsibilities of being queen. I thought that putting you in the position of the number one woman in the kingdom would make you happy. I was wrong."

Swana sighed. "I understand that. There's a lot to be gained from being queen. Power, honor and everything. But I just want to be with my husband and son somewhere far away from politics."

"Yes, I'm sorry for being insensitive."

The carriage walked along with the escorting group of soldiers. There Curtis embraced Swana to make his wife's position comfortable. The man turned out to be very caring and gentle.

The man who was ferocious and wild in bed seems to have been replaced. Curtis was now very careful. Because Swana could be pregnant with a werewolf baby. However, it did not rule out the possibility that she was pregnant with a human baby.

Nancy welcomed them happily. She was happy to see that Swana and Curtis were no longer distant from each other. Even though it was all because Swana was pregnant, Nancy still knew that Curtis had thrown away his ego for Swana.

"Welcome Your Highness. How was your journey?"

"Everything went well, Auntie. I want to go to my room and rest."

"Okay, I'll send you."

"No, I'll do it," Curtis refused. He wanted to look after his wife without anyone's help. Maybe for certain things he wouldn't refuse Nancy's help.

"Yes, Your Honor."

But Curtis took Swana's body and carried her. The surprised Swana immediately put her arms around him.

"Curtis, this is in front of people," Swana protested, sounding like a cat meowing.

"Why? It's good because I want my soldiers to find their mates."

Samuel, Jason and the soldiers who heard were immediately snapped out of it. They knew Curtis' words were meant to satirize them.

"Curtis, I'm embarrassed..."

"Then I'll head to the room now."

After the two left, Samuel and Jason let out a long sigh.

"If only we could meet our mates quickly. Then we could also feel what the Commander feels," Samuel murmured.

"Unfortunately we are still not lucky."

Though their age is mature. So they should already have children or wives. But the moon goddess hasn't given them Luna yet.

Both of them could only sigh.

However, there is something good that both of them are feeling right now. Living in the northern region seems to be a good thing. There were no hostile looks here. The soldiers who had wives were even given houses and could live a normal life. It was a much different life than in the royal city. Where they always received fearful and suspicious looks. The people there seemed to think they were invaders.

"But I'm very happy to be here," said Samuel.

"Yes, whether in the kingdom of Sinclair or in Arta, there's no place we really belong, except here."

"In the kingdom of Arta we are treated as weapons of war, while in Sinclair we are like colonizers. It sucks," Curtis muttered.

"You're right, we can finally get a territory that really feels like home."

Samuel turned to Jason. "We must not let our guard down. The Commander told us to get rid of the nobles who were trying to influence Prince Noel. The Commander is afraid that any nobles who influence Prince Noel will attack the northern territories."

"Although this is unlikely, but we need to be on guard. I've spread out my spies there."

"Good."

If there were any nobles who tried to influence Prince Noel, then that day would be their last. Curtis was currently really sensitive because Swana was pregnant. He didn't want his wife to think of unnecessary problems.
