Chapter Twenty-Four
“How’d it go?” Mitch wiped his hands on a ripped rag, as he leaned on the doorframe between the bay and the now well-organized office. Karla was waiting for him when he arrived, and he made a mental note to get her a key, so she wasn’t stuck outside.
She shrugged. Her bare shoulders slumped a little. “It went. She appreciated my visit and even cried a little. They’ll probably be a happy couple again by the time I go to work tonight.”
He could tell by her tone she didn’t care for the idea, but then again, he didn’t expect her to like it, just do it. Obey. And she did. If he was honest, it surprised him. He knew how she felt about people trying to date both her and her sister; he could only imagine how annoyed she was about Paul dating her mother after having slept with Karla. Yet, she was all about the non-traditional experiences. Of course, that was for her, not her family. She expected them to stay… normal. He held in a chuckle. Nothing about Karla Harper was normal, and that was exactly why he found himself falling for her. “Good. Your mom deserves to be happy. After all, she’s put up with you for how long?” he asked with a smirk, as he slipped the rag into his back pocket.
She glared at him a moment before shaking her head. “Too long, I’m sure.”
He crossed the floor and kissed the top of her head. “I’m proud of you.”
She sighed, bringing a smile to his lips. “Working at Sand Dune is going to suck if she keeps popping by now, though.” She sat back in the desk chair, her arms crossing her chest. “It’s one thing to know they’re doing it behind closed doors, but quite another to see them all kissy face in front of me. I’m not sure I’m ready to see that all the time.”
Mitch thought back to his conversation with Lloyd at breakfast. “Then why not quit and work here. You’ve been great at getting the office in order, and I know Lloyd likes gawking at your ass. Might even be a perk for waiting customers.” He winked at her, smiling.
She wasn’t smiling, however. She cocked her head to the side. “You want me to work here full time?”
He shrugged. “Why not? It would give us more time together, our schedules being the same and all. It would get you away from seeing Paul and your mom all the time. And you’re actually damn good at office work. Who would have thought it?”
“Please,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I’m damn good at everything I do.” She winked at him. “You should know that.”
“Oh, I do. So, does that mean you’ll do it?” He took a seat at the edge of the desk, making her spin a bit in her chair, so she faced him. He could see quite a bit of fun happening with him sitting like this.
“You just want me around all the time, so you can keep an eye on me. You’re afraid of me cheating on you and you not finding out.”
He knew that would be one of her thoughts. “Karla. You can’t cheat on me.”
She arched an eyebrow, almost as if accepting a challenge. “You wanna bet?”
He shook his head, chuckling. “No, I don’t think I do. However, that’s not what I meant. Karla, you can’t cheat on me the way you’re thinking. We both know your…spontaneous…behavior. I’ve already said you could screw around, because of your nature. I just want to know about it. Preferably before you do it, but if it’s after, then I’ll just spank you or find some other way to punish you. I can be pretty creative in that area.” He winked at her as he clasped his hands together, resting them in his lap.
Karla shook her head. “Even with that, I’m not sure I’ll be the girl you want me to be. I’m pretty broken, and even my baggage has baggage. You don’t deserve that.”
He grinned, his protective nature wanting to swoop her up and hold her close, wash away the pain of her past. He reached out, cupping her chin, lifting it, and making her look at him. “I deserve to have what I want, and I want you. I know all about your wayward tendencies, your thrill of being watched, and even given away. I know you like to be the center of attention and use your body to gain you more than even that. I not only know it, but I love it. I want it. I want to see it happen. Crave it, even. I want you to be who you are, without worry that I’m going to run off the first time you hop into bed with someone else. Hell, I want to watch you in bed with someone else. More than just one someone, if I’m honest. I just want to be in control of it.” He reached down and pulled her up, so that she stood in front of him. “I expect you to, as you say, cheat, and I already have a punishment in mind.” He winked at her. “And it’s going to be hot.”
“Oh? Maybe I’ll have to cheat, just to find out what’s in your twisted mind.” She smiled, but Mitch could still see the pain hidden behind her eyes, the doubt of what she heard versus what he truly said.
He kissed her nose. “We can pretend you already did, and I could just bend you over the desk and spank you now.”
“So Lloyd could hear?”
He shook his head. “He went after parts. It’s just you and me here now.”
Her eyebrows arched as she stared at him with wide eyes. “Well then, should we do the interview now?”
He laughed, giving another shake of his head. “You’ve got the job if you want it. However, if you wish to negotiate your pay…”
She smiled, running her hand over the outline of his cock in his pants. “Are you sure Lloyd will be gone for a while?”
Mitch shrugged. “Does it matter? You like to be watched. If he comes back, I’ll just let you get him off as well.”

She felt the heat between her legs fan into a roaring fire at the thought. Would Mitch really give her to Lloyd for the man’s pleasure? God, she hoped so. The thought alone made her honey stir. “Do you think he’d want me?” She swayed back and forth between Mitch’s legs, her hand still caressing his growing cock.
“Oh, without a doubt. You’ve been teasing him for a few days now with glimpses of your ass. I’m sure he’s dying to get his hands on it.”
She pressed harder on Mitch’s cock, loving the way it came to life. Was this really turning him on as much as it turned her on? “And you’d be okay with your partner using your girlfriend?”
“Yes. He has before,” he said, his voice now a throaty ache of want. Then he grinned. “You just called yourself my girlfriend. That’s a first.”
She paused, her hand still on his cock. She hadn’t even realized she said it, and now that he made her aware of it, it stumped her. It was obvious that’s what they were—boyfriend and girlfriend, or whatever people called it nowadays—but to voice it… It was like giving him ownership of her now, as if she actually did answer to him, there was a commitment that she now had to adhere to, rules set up by society. She felt nauseous. And scared. She never succeeded at commitments.
She felt his hand on her arm. “You okay?” His expression became one of concern, worry.
She nodded, her head a slow bob, as she wasn’t sure if it was the truth or not. “I just… Like I said before, I fail at relationships. I guess saying it out loud just made it… Real.”
“Is that bad?” She felt him squeeze her arm.
“It’s dangerous. My mind suddenly goes into flight mode. I’ll be fine for a while, but then I start to suffocate and make dumbass decisions, which will eventually hurt us both, and that scares me, because I don’t want to hurt you. You deserve better…”
“Stop.” He placed a finger on her lips. “I already told you I deserve to have what I want and what I want is you. So, no worries about the future and what may happen. Do you trust me?”
“Of course. It’s me I don’t trust.”
“So, you do trust me?”
She nodded, knowing he didn’t understand what she said. By the time he figured it out, it would be too late. “Yes, I trust you.”
“Kneel.”
She stared at him; her eyes narrowed with her confusion. “What?”
He pushed her backward a step as he stood. “Kneel. Right there. Kneel.”
She had no idea what he was going on about, but she did as he requested, kneeling on the cold concrete floor in front of him. She glanced up at him, waiting, expectant.
“Bow your head,” he ordered, as he walked around behind her.
She obeyed, staring at the dirty floor upon which he made her kneel. She grew nervous, as she heard him behind her, felt his hand slide into her hair, his hand caressing her neck. “You say you trust me, but don’t trust yourself. However, I trust you.” She started to say something, but he stopped her. “I have heard every word you’ve said, every argument you have, every fear you hold in front of you like a shield, and I don’t care. I trust you because I know you. I know the type of person you are, because that’s the type of person I am. Together, we can make it work, because we will be able to fulfill each other in all our zaniness and kinky ways. You want others. I don’t care if you have them. Hell, I want others and will have them. But we’ll both know about it and only give our hearts to each other. That is what will keep us from failing. I will control you, even in your wildness.”
“How?”
“By making you mine and keeping you safe in your wandering. Are you mine?”
“What?”
“Are you mine? Do you surrender to my control? Trusting me to protect us?”
She thought about it, not wanting to give a smart-ass answer, or one that was too quick. It wasn’t that she doubted he would protect her or even that he wanted her to be everything he said. It was more that she didn’t trust herself to believe it. No one was ever so upfront with her before. She took a deep breath. “Yes.”
She felt his hand caress the top of her head. “You’ll trust me to know what we both need?
“Yes.”
“And you’ll do what I say? Submit to any punishment I give you if you should wander?”
“Yes.”
He gripped her hair in his fist, forcing her head back until she looked into his eyes. He smiled, but his eyes, those dark green eyes, captivated her and made the heat between her legs flare. “I want to use you, take you, give you away, expose you, all of it. I want you here with me, so that I can do it on a whim. I want to explore every adventure we can dream up. Together. But only if you want it, too.”
Her heart pounded, and her breathing grew ragged. “I want it. God, I want it.”
“Then you’ll quit. Tonight. Tomorrow, you’re all mine.”
“Yes, sir,” she said in a throaty whisper, and then the realization of what she said caught in her throat. Sir. And it wasn’t in her usual snarky tone.
He grinned. “Nice. I like that. We should keep it.”
She smiled. “Yes, sir.”
He released her hair, walked around her, and sat on the edge of the desk. “In the meantime, since you’re already on your knees…”
Karla’s grin grew wider. “Yes, sir.” Working there would definitely be an adventure. She slid forward, her hands reaching toward the button on his pants. The fact they were in the shop’s office thrilled her, the fact that anyone could walk in, even Lloyd, excited her even more than she thought it would. As she unzipped his pants, she found herself hoping Lloyd did return, and soon. Yes, working here was definitely going to be fun.
She pulled his pants down a little, pulling his cock out. Now, she only had to tell Paul she was quitting, and not have her mother think it was her fault.
