85. There is a way...

"Weird."

"What is?"

"Ren sounded different, like she was stuttering like she was nervous somehow, and that girl never stutters."

"What was wrong with her, I heard you say she was feeling un-well?"

"Yeah she was sweating like crazy when she came inside the building."

"Oh." Hector realising something.

"Oh what?"

"She was probably in heat, like most of the werewolves tonight due to the full moon."

"Heat?"

"The full moon gives us strength and stamina and the ability to hunt, but gives us a crazy urge to find our mates and make love to them strongly with great passion."

Rani blushed seeing the moon and getting close slowly towards Hector holding his hand in his.

Rani looked up towards his eyes lovingly and sighed out giving his big warm hand a squeese making him easily blush down at her.

"I miss you."

"I miss you too."

Rani chuckled giving him a hug.

"What?" Hector asked smiling down at her in confusion.

"I can see that you do, with all these plant pots you got around this lounge room."

"You should see my room."

"I'd love to see your room." Rani said going on her tip toes and planting a sweet kiss upon his lips.

As much as Hector wanted to take her right here right now, he held back and gently let go of her.

Rani looked at him strange. What had him so worried that he turned away from her gaze, sighing deeply.

"Hey, what's wrong? Did I do something wrong last time? Is that why you left?"

"No Rani. It's not you. It's me." Hector said sitting back on his couch with a hand upon his face.

Rani came sitting next to him and gently took hold of his hand.

"Talk to me." She said taking his hand and kissing it sweetly. Hector smiled warmly and nodded. She wasn't just his mate, she felt like a she was his best friend. Someone he could rely on and trust.

"I'm sorry for leaving you like that, that night. But I had my reasons." He started holding her hand in his rubbing his thumb in a circular motion.

"Ok? What were they?"

"Well, when I was healing you I noticed my original mark on you had gone."

Rani nodded, she noticed too.

"So, you can just mark me again right?"

Hector got up feeling troubled by this.

"Hey, what's wrong Hector?"

"As much as I want to mark you again. I can't." Well, not now atleast. He hid his last thoughts.

Rani was puzzled.

"What do you mean Hector?"

"Rani I was ok when I marked you the first time. But then something bad happened to me and I was on the brink of dying. You rescued me by giving me your blood. Remember?"

Rani nodded her head.

"I know, you left to go to training to control your blood thirst...Oh." Rani said realising the situation that caused him to abruptly leave that night.

"Yeah. That's a big Oh! You can understand now why I left."

"You were scared to re-mark me because you were afraid you wouldn't be able to control your predetorious side?"

The thought, sent a chill down her spine. She'd seen Hector's wild side before, but that was when another dark vague figure was there, whom she couldn't clearly remember. That figure kind of sheilded her from getting his wild side a hold of her.

But, Rani had full faith in Hector and Achilles.

He controlled himself that night with her when he was healing her.

"That's right. I almost got close in sinking my teeth into that night, but I knew I couldn't because I don't want to hurt you. I was afraid that if I did, I wouldn't be able to stop and I'd end up loosing you, once I came back to my senses."

He said tearing up making Rani worried too. But she knew Hector heart. He'd never cause her any harm, not even his inner beast Achilles who loved her just as equally as Hector.

"Hector. Who cares about some silly mark? With or without the marking, I'll still always love you and Achilles no matter what." Rani hugged him and Hector embraced her in his arms preciously.

"I know baby, but without my mark, you'll become an easy target for other wolves."

"There must be some kind of way?" Rani said worried that his mark wasn't on her. He was right, she'd be an easy target for her.

"There is."

Hope!

Rani smiled with relief as Hector said that.

"Great, what is it?"

"But, it's dangerous and too risky."

He was worrying about his predetorious side, that Hector, nor Achilles could control.

His great blood thirst for her, would invoke his extreamly beastly nature, that would cloud his heart and soul, and look toward Rani like a piece of prey.

"Too risky?"

Even if it was risky, Hector had managed to find away around the risk, once he bit her.

"I came up here to win a special potion. It's a powerful sleeping potion called Nebula, that will knock me out for atleast a couple of days."

"You want me to knock you out with it?"

Hector nodded.

"It's the only way."

He went towards the door and Rani followed after him.

"Wait a minute? Where are you going?"

"I need to go back and win more fights and then i'll win my prize."

"The Nebula potion?"

"That's right, it's my last night fighting at the place, so sweetheart, I need to go."

"Great, I'll come with you."

Hector turned on his heel and stopped her by the door strictly.

"Rani you can't come."

"Why not?"

"I won't risk other wolves pouncing on you. Look, let me quickly get it and we can discuss how we'll use it further, OK?" He turned on heel to step out of the cabin house.

"Hey!"

Rani turned him around and then smashed her lips passionately with him. Hector easily responded cupping her face and deepening her kiss with his. The two made out in a heated tension. They both broke for air as Rani hugged him, not wishing him to leave.

However Hector had no choice. Having this potion was absolutely necessary for him to be able to remark her.

Hector flashed his eyes silver and pink and controlled a very eager Achilles who wished to take over.

"Don't you dare run away from me again." Rani said with a lump of worry as her eyes brimmed with tears.

"I wouldn't dare." Hector placed a sweet kiss upon her lips and forehead and turned towards the door, and left in his car.

After a couple more fights back at the club.

Hector finally won the potion from owner who was happy with all the money he brought to his club.

The owner Miguel handed him the dark purple potion.

"Use it wisely and don't you dare let a single drop go to waste, or you'll die."
