Chapter 21 — Another Big Revelation

Lucy POV: 

After the kidnapping incident of my son Austin, I decided to visit Cassandra inside the prison. 

My dreams are telling me to come and see her. I want to ask many questions and I am hoping that she could answer all of them. This sounds ridiculous but I want to help her even though she tried to steal my husband for one night and to get my child. I need to clarify something about us inside the prison. Something isn't right. I saw the pin in her hair same with Eloisa. I want to know how it happened that their things were so much alike. 

I wonder if it was just a coincidence. I don't know but I am not contented with her, and Val went to prison and her sister Catalina to the Asylum. I think something is not right. I need to know more about her so I can have peace in my mind. 

I'm glad that Austin slowly recovered from his trauma in the kidnapping incident. I got a new nanny for him, and her name is Laura. She's five years younger than me. I and Kent thoroughly check her background so we're one hundred percent sure that she can be trusted. I don't want to make the same mistakes anymore. I need to be very careful in dealing with everyone. 

Kent left early to get back to work. He needed to put back the beauty and enthusiasm of the Zeus Palace. Everything turned upside down when my father-in-law Alexander and Mr. Sherlock got involved in Cassandra's murder case. 

I know everything ended brilliantly. Our life is getting back to normal again after all the drama, but I want to end it smoothly with no regrets and hatred in my heart. 

I walked downstairs and saw my baby Austin eating so lively with Nora. He saw me and he cheered up like he's enjoying his food. 

"Good morning, mommy! You know what Yaya made me my favorite cupcakes! It's yummy!” he said and put the cupcake inside my mouth, so I had no choice but to eat it. 

"Hmm, you're right, baby," I replied and chewed it. 

I'm happy that Nora took care of Austin very well. I shifted my eyes to her, and I felt how she cares so much for my son. 

"Are you okay here, Nora? Did my son become a nuisance to you or not?” I asked her. 

She quickly set a smile on her face and shake her head. 

"No, ma'am. He's super jolly and obeys me! Don't worry, I know what you and sir went through, so you have my back,” she promised me. 

I feel relieved that I had no more worries for our son. Hiring Nora doesn't mean I will leave my obligation as a mother for Austin to her. Sometimes, I had to go on business meetings and other personal appointments so I just need someone who can look out at the house. Besides, I don't hire servants since I am the one who cooked our menu.

"So, Austin, mommy will go now. Please behave here, okay?” I said and I kiss him on his forehead. 

Austin felt a little sad after I told him that I am going. I bid them goodbye and called my husband that I will see him at lunch. 

I was now on my way to Muntinlupa jailhouse to pay a visit to the real Cassandra. I parked my car and wrapped my arms around my chest. It's freezing here and because Christmas is nearly coming, the atmosphere started to change. 

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I am not ready to face her actually, but I can't sleep well especially that I can't talk to her in person. 

Just like in my dream, I quickly went to the receptionist to tell them that I want to visit inmate Cassandra. 

"Wait, ma'am. I will check if someone visited her today,” she said, and I am curious who it was. 

I waited while she was busy checking her schedule. 

"Ma'am, she had a visitor today. I'm sorry. Just come back tomorrow,” she told me. 

I don't know who it and I was curious, so I asked her who the visitor was. 

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but we're not allowed to tell you. You can come back tomorrow,” she told me, and I was pissed. 

I sighed. I can't force the receptionist to tell me about her visitor's information, so I made a plan. I waited outside.

Two Hours Later...

Lucy POV:

It's been two hours but her visiting hours weren't done yet. 

"What took them so long? I thought the visiting time has a limit. Did she hire a lawyer for her case?” I mumbled. 

I decided to call Kent. 

"Hello, honey, how are you doing? I'm outside the jailhouse. You know what? Cassandra has a visitor,” I said on the other line. 

I heard him gasp in surprise. 

"What did you say? So, you went there on your own? I told you not to see her anymore!” his voice is angry. 

"Sorry, hon, but I need to talk to her. I kept dreaming about her daughter! I can't leave it behind and I found something strange!” I said to him. 

He turned silent. I hope he understands me. While I was talking to him, I saw a woman coming her way from the visitor's room. I sneak and I saw her signing on the folder for visitors. By looking at her appearance, she looks familiar from behind. 

My phone is still in my ears. My husband is listening. 

"Hon, she's coming," I told him. 

As she is getting closer, her face turned clearer, and my eyes widened when I found out that her visitor was Eloisa. 

Lucy was stunned. She doesn't know what Eloisa was doing. She quickly hides from her and told Kent whom she saw. 

“Honey, Cassandra's visitor was Eloisa! I can't believe it,” she told Kent what she saw. 

 "Come over here and we will talk about it," Kent instructed me and he turned off the phone. 

I don't know what her connection is to her, but it's kinda weird. Of all the things that happened to us she didn't even tell me that she was seeing Cassandra. What is she hiding? Why didn’t she tell me that she knew her? I thought she wanted to curse her to death. I need to stalk Eloisa so I will have my answer to my questions.

She was looking around to see if a suspected person is following her. She's very strange because she put the scarf on to cover half of her face. 

I walked out when I saw her hoping inside her car, and I followed her. 

"What are you hiding, Eloisa? I thought you regretted everything that you did to us, but I think it was just an act. I will find out your secrets too,” I said as my eyes focused on the road while tailing her. 

I saw her stop in front of the Asylum where Catalina was diagnosed. 

"What is she doing here?” I said to myself while parking my car not far from Eloisa's car. 

Kent didn't know that I followed his sister-in-law and once his wife. Anyway, it was a long time ago where I was fooled with the word called love. Yeah, Lucy Mason is a smart girl but turned out stupid because of her deep love for Kent Oliver Stone which is now my husband. 

I saw Eloisa walk inside so I slowly pursued her, and I saw her approach the receptionist. The attendant gave her the key. 

“What's that for? I know her mom’s been locked up here for many years but she took her and brought her into their house so who is the person she will going to visit?” I mumbled. 

After she left on the counter, I walked closer and ask her whom she was going to visit. 

The receptionist told me that she's visiting her friend. 

"A friend? May I know the patient's name?” I said. 

The attendant was quite kind, so she told me who it was and after hearing what she told me, I felt like my world crush into pieces. 

“No, this can't be real? Eloisa, what have you done?” I said as my knees weaken.
