Chapter 16 — Mr. Sherlock and Mr. Stone
Flashback: 37 Years Ago.
Val and Cassandra mourned the death of their daughter Kylie. Because they can't afford to buy an AB blood donor for her blood transplant and the hospital didn't even help them.
Val clenched his fist while both of them are sitting in front of their daughter's funeral.
“I promise to avenge your death, our baby. Dad will reveal their secrets on how they run their business!” Val mumbled.
He noticed his wife Cassandra always staring at the ceiling without any expression on her face. Sometimes she was talking to herself and sometimes she laughs without reason. He doesn't know what to do to her anymore.
One day, he decided to put her in the Asylum, a home for mentally ill patients.
"Love, I need to do this. I can't do this with you being like that." Val told her while Cassandra keeps on screaming while nurses took her and handcuff her.
“Love, what is this? Where are they taking me? I am not crazy!” she shouted.
Val just took a deep breath and tried to hold back her tears. He didn't want to do it, but he has no choice. He will come back to avenge his daughter's death. Because of them, they lost their only daughter.
"Just hang on there. I'll come back, dear,” he said as they put Cassandra inside the ambulance.
Val went to see Alexander. He waited in the lobby to see his former boss but one of the security guards came towards him and grab his arms.
"Mr. Wilson, what are you doing here? Sir Stone advise us not to let you in here! He strictly instructed us to brought you out." Owen, his close friend guard said.
Val strongly pushes him away and Owen got angry. He pulled his gun and pointed it at him.
"I told you not to mess up here because Mr. Stone will fire me just like you! Please, just go home and talk to your crazy wife. I heard you brought her to the Asylum," he said and laughed at him, but Val quickly took the gun and was about to shoot Owen in the legs.
"No! Please, spare my life, Val. I'm your friend, right? I treated Kylie like my own, right?” he begs for him.
Val tightened his jaw. He wants to pull the trigger so bad, but he thinks about his plan. If he kills Owen, he will put in prison. He took a deep breath to calm himself. Everyone screams when they saw him with a gun. He throws it to him.
“You supposed to die instead of her. You are not my friend, traitor!” he said and walked away.
Val lost his hope to see him, so he decided to write in an online forum about the company's secrets and Alexander heard it.

Alexander POV:
"Fuck! How dare he ruin my name? As if someone will believe him. His wife is in the hospital for a mentally ill patient. I will make his life a living hell.
After Three Months:
Val decided to take back his wife from the asylum.
Cassandra looks excited to see his husband.
“Love, I'm glad you come back! I thought you will keep me here fever! I saw our daughter in my dream, she's crying,” she told him.
Val just stays quiet and just listened to her. He packs her things and about to go when they heard screams beside his wife's room.
"Did you know, Val, that was Mr. Sherlock's wife? You know him, right? He's the business partner of your boss Alexander. Her daughter always visiting her. I think her name was Eloisa!” she mumbled.
Val has no idea that Mr. Paul Sherlock has a crazy wife too. He set a smirk on his face.
“Really? I didn't like that. Come on, let's go. I cooked your favorite dish chop suey. " he said to Cassandra while packing her things.
They were about to go when Eloisa stops by. She was surprised.
"Mrs. Wilson, are you going home? So, you're well now?” she looks sad.
Cassandra just lazily nods her head.
“Yes. I'm happy to meet you. Give my regards to your mom too. I hope she's doing well now,” she replied.
"Sure. Just take care. See you!” she said, and Cassandra raised her hands to wave her goodbye.
Val and Cassandra went home without knowing that someone is following them. It's a man wearing a black suit with tobacco on his hands. He set a sneering look and a wild grin on his face.
“So he took his wife out of the Asylum? Don't worry, you will be back again but not in that place, but to jail!” his warning words made him laugh.

Everyone is startled at Alexander's reaction.
“Why are you fighting about my innocence. I told you, I did it. I was wrong. If I lend Val the desired amount that he asked me for, maybe his daughter is still alive." His voice cracks. He looks like he regrets it.
Kent and Gale just listened to him. They don't know that their dad can make that awful thing because of money. He hurt and wasted his only employee who was hard for their company. Mr. Alexander went on crying. He can't act brave anymore. He’s powerful but old and his conscience is now eating him alive. His soul is now rotting in hell, so to forgive himself, he surrenders herself.
"I came here to tell you what I did but I have an accomplish,” he said and all of them looks surprised.
Detective Damian took the white envelope in front of him and called Eloisa's attention.
"Mrs. Eloisa Stone, may I ask where Mr. Sherlock is right now?” he asked her.
Eloisa crossed her brows while looking at Gale. She was confused.
“After my murder case scandal about Lucy five years ago, he called before the wedding and he said sorry for me but after that, we lost contact again,” she said while his eyes are looking at the floor.
Her husband Gale quickly holds her hands and pressed them.
"It's okay, baby,” he said to comfort her.
Damian took a deep sigh. All of them were silent when Mikael walked inside.
"Sir, we have him. Mr. Sherlock just arrived and surrendered. He said he had to confess something,” he informed him and behind him was Eloisa's father, handcuffed with five police escorts.
", Dad? What are you doing here? I told you to stay back, right? Sir, my dad is innocent. Just let him go! He's old and he is sick!” Eloisa keeps screaming inside the room, so Damian requested to take them out and leave Alexander and Paul inside.

Detective Damian POV:
I never thought that I am handling the two huge murder cases of the town. The murder case of Mrs. Dorothy Ocampo. Besides the closed case of Cassandra and Val Wilson's kidnapping case, this is another story.
I took a deep breath before I started questioning them. I am glad that they confessed their sins about killing Dorothy, Cassandra's neighbor, and framed her to stop Val from telling her about their dirty business.
That day, I confirmed the reopening of Mrs. Ocampo's murder case. The scandalous media came over or the police station, but they closed the Makati Police Department for privacy.
“Sorry, we don't accept media here." One of the police said.

One Week Later:
Kent and Gale just accept their dad's punishment and also Eloisa. She lied to the police for keeping her dad, but she then finally accepts it. The fact that Mr. Sherlock admitted his mistakes for killing Mrs. Ocampo.
Then Lucy decided to visit Cassandra in the jail without telling her husband. She just wants to check her even she made a big mistake, she's also a victim here. She still can't believe why their friendship has to end this way.
She walked inside and went to one of the police receptionists for the prisoner's visitor.
"Hello, ma'am. May I help you?” she asked her.
Lucy took off her eyeglasses and said whom she was going to visit.
“I am requesting a visit for Mrs. Cassandra Wilson, may I?” she said.
The police officer asks her name.
"For safety purposes, may I know your name ma'am, and your relationship to the prisoner?” she added.
Lucy took a deep breath and told her relationship to Cassandra.
“Wait, ma'am. I will call her. You can wait to the visiting room,” she said, and Lucy nodded.
Cassandra POV:
Police officer Jane, the one who is assigned to accepts my visitor called me. I quickly walked closer and asks her who was my visitor and she told me that her name is Lucy Mason, the mother of Austin, the one we kidnapped.
I accepted her request to see me. I don't know if I had the right to see her but what can I do if she wants to see me.
I took a deep breath before I opened the visitor's room.

As the door creaks open, I saw Lucy turned her head and I try to control myself not to have a nervous breakdown. Ever since we were caught by the police, I always saw Kylie looking at me and she's crying. I want to tell her what it feels like to see a dead girl pleading for my help.
"Lucy?” I called her softly.

Alexander and Paul were punished to seven years in prison. The families of Mrs. Dorothy accepted their assistance, so their case shortens to two years.
“Paul, I never thought jailhouse could be this fun!” he told Alexander while both of them aren't having ramen soup inside.
Alexander wipes the leftover noodles on his lower lip.
"Yeah, I feel at home here. I just realized money can't buy anything!” he said, and they both laughed with their grey hair and wrinkled skin.
