"So tell me, Alpha. Were you able to reach out to the manager at your company?" Mr De Great asked, directing his attention at me.

From the time we all sat down to have our meal till now, Anna's old man has been engaging me in different conversations like I'm the only living being around him.

A behavior that didn't sit well with Damian or Linda. They don't look happy one bit.

"I contacted him. He'll get the work done," I replied, smiling at Raymond.

"Oh that's lovely. I was worried that your visit to our pack will interfere with your work."

"Not at all. I have able and well-trained staffs who can handle the company in my absence. Especially on days when I wish to stay with my darling mate," I said, dropping my gaze on Anna, with my finger trailing hers under the table.

She turned to face me, giving me a smirk. Her fingers trailing mine back in a seductive manner.

"Don't push it, my Queen. I might end up pinning you down before your family," I spoke naughtily in my head, winking at her.

My action was caught by Casey, who cleared out her throat to gain my attention, asking, "It's nice that you always put my sweet sister first before your work, but... How long is she going to stay like this? No plans for a mating ceremony yet?"

"Casey?" Mr De Great turned his gaze at his step daughter, watching her shrug innocently at his call.

"I was just asking, father. We're all dying to witness Anna's wedding. Isn't that right, Mom?"

Before Linda could open up and back her daughter... "You don't need to wait any longer, because as soon as the party is over..." I took hold of Anna's hand, looking her in the eyes.

"We begin the preparation," I shared, stunning them, except for Raymond.

Damian, Linda, and Casey stared at us in disbelief. That's until Mr De Great confirmed it, shocking them totally.

"We didn't want to tell anyone yet, but since you feel Alpha Diego doesn't have any good plans for my daughter, now you know," He spoke, his voice laced with disappointment.

"Dear, that's not what Casey meant. She's just being concerned about..."

"Preparations begins right after the birthday party. Alpha Diego doesn't want to delay this any further," He interrupted his wife, leaving her silent.

"Thank you, Father. I'm sure Casey meant well. Like she said. She's dying to witness her sister's wedding. Isn't that right?" I directed at Linda, who nodded silently, suppressing her true feelings on this news.

"Oh, I... I mean that's great," Casey smiled, her eyes clearly showing her true emotions.

Jealousy and pure envy.

Damian couldn't say a word but stare at the table, trying hard not to let his lust out.

"I am so happy for you two!" Linda finally opened up, taking hold of Anna's hand from her end.

"Finally, I'll get to hand over my daughter to her mate. Every mother's dream," She faked love, caressing Anna's hand.

My darling Queen played along with Linda's fake love, thanking her for her support.

"Thank you, Mom," Anna said, slipping her hand away from Linda's hold.

"We need to celebrate this news. What do you think, my love?" She turned to face Anna's old man, suggesting a party before the wedding day.

Casey suddenly got to her feet, glaring right at me. Both Raymond and Linda didn't look at her to know what was wrong.

"Excuse me," She said, walking away.

I was itching to laugh at Casey's mood, but my Anna's grip got my attention, making me face her.

She drew her face closer to my ear and whispered, "Are we really holding our mating ceremony after the party?"

She was blushing, delighted by this news.

I never told her about my plans. I wanted to make it a surprise, but these fucking pests needed someone to shut them up.

"You heard that right. We are getting mated as soon as possible," I answered, running my finger on her cheek.

Anna almost melted in her seat. She's really happy.

I knew she'll get so excited about this news. If only we were in the room and I shared this right there... You know were I'm heading to with this, don't you?

Late that night, I was taking a stroll down the stairs, having a quick call with my Beta.

He had called to inform me about something really important, and I couldn't wait for tomorrow to hear from him.

Just as I was strolling into a passage, my nose picked the scent of a familiar wolf in the mansion.

That forced me to end the conversation with Arnold at once.

"We'll talk later. I think someone has passed their bedtime," I said, ending the call.

"You should be asleep not roaming around at this hour. We have a big day tomorrow, and you know that," I said, sliding the phone into my pants, and turning over to gaze at the person sneaking up on me.

"I think the same applies to you, Alpha," Casey chuckled, biting down on her lip seductively.

She wore a see-through garment which clearly exposed her nakedness, making every part of her private area visible.

"Why aren't you in bed with your lovely mate?" She asked, drawing closer while running her hands on her hard nipples.

"Don't tell me you don't feel sleepy yet, darling. Same here..." She stood before me, placing her right hand on my chest. "I don't feel sleepy either."

"As a married woman and Luna of this pack, I expect you to show some decency," I said, pulling her hand off my pecs, drawing back from her in disgust.

"This is your parents home, not your palace, Casey. You shouldn't be wearing this rags around. Aren't you worried that your parents or even the helpers will see you?"

"They won't," She replied, stepping nearer while gazing at my body lustfully.

"At this hour, they're always asleep. That means I can roam around the mansion anyhow I want."

Again, she attempted to touch me on the chest, but this time I grabbed her by the wrist tightly and warned, "If I were you, I'll keep my claws to myself."

"Spicy," She giggled, being stubborn as always.

But I soon realized why she was being an ass, having no fear if she gets caught.

"I know you like what you see, Alpha. Just say the word and I'll happily spread my legs for you to have me," She offered hornily, kissing my hand.

Casey's infection is kicking in really fast, tempted to lure me in-between her legs.

"Just say it. I promise, I won't bite."

She slowly guided my hand to her chest, almost making me touch her hard erected nipple.

Instead of letting her get what she wanted, I pulled my hand off her and said, "Your Alpha isn't far away. How about giving him all that love? He's your husband after all."

"That asshole don't know how to make a woman feel good. But you on the other hand..." She moaned, acting possessed.

She groaned, slipping her right hand down to her V region, stroking it slowly.

She looked mad from what I just said, angrily looking to the side while wrapping her arms across her chest.

"If anyone tells me that you've slept with the whole men in Wolf blood, I will believe it in one heartbeat."

Casey groaned, flashing her wolf eyes at me. She was about to stand against my words but froze when she heard a familiar voice from behind.

"There you are, my love," Anna said, rushing into my hold speedily.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a kiss.

"I was wondering what kept you so long. Thought you'd forgotten about your stroll buddy," She giggled, burying herself in my hold.

We were strolling together before Arnold's call came in. I didn't plan to keep her waiting, but someone's presence made me delay.

And I'm sure Casey didn't know Anna was around. She thought I came out of my room alone.

"Oh waw. Not a bad nightwear, Casey. Are you and Damian planning to start a family?" Anna joked, looking at her stepsister's naked figure through her see-through attire.

Casey didn't look pleased.

In fact, she was expecting Anna to feel jealous on seeing us together.

She knows nothing about her own sister.

"I know I shouldn't be giving you any tip, but let him take you from the back. It hits really hard," Anna chuckled naughtily, pulling me away.

Her advice left Casey stunned and angry.

I saw her storming away, keeping her arms crossed across her chest.

"What a whore. Now I really want that kind of garment," Anna said, winking at me.

My mafia Queen has spoken.

"I'll get you the most sexiest one ever."

"I trust you on that," She laughed.

We decided to head back to our room, but got stunned when we found Damian stepping out of our bedroom, sneakily and puzzled!

"What the hell?!" Anna gasped in shock, looking at me.

I wasn't surprised one bit.

Let's just say I saw this coming.

You see, my plan was to stroll alone for a few minute and back to the room. But I was picking up a troubling aura nearby. That's why I decided to take Anna along, making her go first before I followed.

The presence I felt was Damian's. He noticed my plan to step out briefly, so he decided to use this opportunity to make his move on my Anna.

He didn't see her leaving the room. He only saw me strolling out and assumed Anna was still inside.

"Both husband and wife are insane," Anna groaned, understanding Damian's intention.

We drew closer to him, and when he heard my voice, asking, "Can we help you?"

Damian turned around and froze on seeing Anna next to me.

"You're here? I mean... Why...why are you out at this hour?"

"Why are you out here at this hour?" Anna questioned back, making his forehead break into sweats.

She glared and walked pass Damian into the room, while I stared at the frightened Alpha and said, "We saw your Luna walking about naked. Maybe you should go and calm her before she ends up with a guard."

Damian lost his voice. He was still shaking.

"That's some guts you got there. Stepping into my room to find my mate despite my warning? You really don't like yourself, Damian."

I chuckled at him and said, placing my hand on his shoulder, giving him a tight squeeze, "Don't say I didn't warn you."

I pushed him aside, stepping into the room and shutting the door.

My temper was getting to me, no doubt. I felt like killing Damian right now. But that will only spoil things for me.

I need to be calm.

"Forget about him. Come with me," Anna said, taking me by the hand and luring me into bed with her.

An invitation I will never decline.

The following morning—being a day to the party—Mr De Great brought in decorators, who began arranging the mansion's hall for tomorrow's event.

I came downstairs to find Anna, that's when I saw the work taking place in the mansion.

It was at the hall I found Anastasia, staring into an open space in front, completely lost.

When I got closer to her, she said, recognizing my presence, "This is the same spot that marked a change in my life. Where I knelt in shame, having no one to save me."

I immediately understood what she meant and felt touched.

"This same spot will finalize it all. And this time..." She took hold of my hand, turning to face me. "I won't be alone."

"That's my girl," I smiled proudly, caressing her hand.

I was about to pull her close—ignoring the decorators walking by and staring—that's when our attention was taken by the mansion's pest.

"Anna, look who came to wish us in advance," Casey announced, presenting Alpha Woods to us like he's the best thing that ever happened to this family.

The old Alpha smiled at my mate, pretending I didn't exist, and handed her an expensive gift bag, saying, "A special gift for a special Queen."

"Thank you," Anna accepted the gift and pulled out what was inside.

"It's a dress. Waw! An expensive one," Anna said, noting the price tag.

"Only a queen with a golden heart deserves something beautiful that matches her nature. And I must confess, you're the only Luna who has proven to be a match with the goddess."

Is that supposed to be a compliment or a flirt?

"Fascinating," I mocked openly, getting the old wolf's gaze on me.

He's not pleased seeing me here. But what can he do?

Nothing.

Unless he's looking for a fight right here and now, I will gladly give it to him.

"I think it's a sweet line," Casey backed Woods, drawing nearer to the Alpha, checking his hands to see if he had something else on him.

"What about me? Don't I get a gift as well?" She asked, her hunger for attention rising.

Woods didn't even look at Casey nor gave her his attention. He kept them all on Anna, suggesting to her, "This dress will make you stand out tomorrow. I want you to wear this."

"Oh, that's so sweet of you. But my Alpha already got me something better, so I'm going to say no," Anna politely declined, handing the shopping bag to Casey.

My heart swelled with joy when she did this.

This made Woods displeased. Even his fingers twitched, tempted to drag the bag out of Casey's hands.

But Casey held on to the bag in excitement, pulling out the dress to see if it fits her.

"I'm going to wear this for sure," She decided, twirling around with it.

An angry Woods managed to hide his rage by accepting Anna's request.

"As a long time family friend, you must accept my gifts tomorrow. It's your special day, my doll," He said, taking hold of Anna's hand, planting a kiss on it.

Disgust filled my guts. Still, I held back, keeping my cool.

Woods left Anna's hand and gave me a quick look, filled with coldness and hate.

A clear message that our fight isn't over, until one of us drops dead.

"Do excuse me," He said, walking away.

Casey followed him from behind like an obsessed fly, holding both items closely.

Once they were out of sight, I immediately pulled out a napkin from my pocket and wiped the area Woods had kissed my Anna.

That got her laughing.

At the living room we all sat down together to talk about tomorrow. An idea suggested by Woods himself, to get himself involved in the De Great family's business.

He asked Raymond about the guests coming, clearly tempering with the list made down.

The Alpha suggested names of people he'd like to invite. Most who were Mafia Bosses on my death list.

That's when he threw a question at me, asking, "You aren't saying anything, Alpha Diego. Don't you have any guest to invite to your mate's party? Even Alpha Damian has taken his time to send out invitations."

"I see no reason why you should be bothered about that, Woods. If Mr De Great isn't asking, then why are you stressing about it?" I asked, tilting my head.

Woods hummed out softly and said, trying to compose himself before he explodes, "I can understand that you're not used to this kind of plannings, son. You're more of the indoor wolf than the party type."

"Quick question. How long do you plan on staying in Wolf Blood?"

"What?" Woods uttered, glancing at the family then back at me.

"Why the question?"

"The people of SilverCrest thinks their Alpha is missing or probably dead."

When I said that, Linda choked on the water she was drinking, letting out a chuckle.

Casey also giggled, unable to hold herself back.

"Oh Goodness. Do they really think that?" Raymond asked, finding this hilarious.

"Oh yeah. I thought it was a joke or a prank. That's until I learnt Alpha Woods have been super busy in another man's land, forgetting about his pack," I smirked, spiking Woods anger even more.

"Any plans to head back before another Alpha take your place? It seems your people are losing their patience and can't wait for you anymore."

Anna giggled, tapping my hand secretly.

I turned the meeting into a joke, getting on Woods nerves.

Even Mr De Great couldn't hold himself from asking.

"He's right though. You've been in Wolf Blood for long. When will your work end? With your people questioning your whereabouts, isn't it best you head back and let them see you're okay?"

"Exactly. You've been roaming around other packs, skipping yours. Enough traveling and head back home. Your people need you," Linda added, smiling at the Alpha.

Woods may have given me a glare to show his annoyance, but when Linda backed me up, he looked really mad, throwing her a nasty look.

"These two aren't in good terms," I observed swiftly from the eye roll Linda gave to him.

Looks like they're fighting.

Woods, like always, hid behind his fake smiles and claimed he'll head back right after the party.

"Let's first celebrate Anna and Casey's new age. That's something I cannot miss," He said, looking straight at Anna.

I was about to counter the old wolf's words, but a call came in from an a number I recognized, getting me to exit the room briefly.

"I've done everything you said, Alpha. Can I have the cure now?" The voice begged, sounding desperate.

I smiled and gave my reply, "You'll get it soon."

Then I ended the call, feeling on top of the world.

"I never taught a day like this would come," I chuckled, ready to head back inside. Only for me to spot Casey waiting for me at the corner, acting suspicious.

This woman won't let me off easily.

"What will it be today? Lingerie or complete nudity?" I mocked, drawing nearer.

She grinned at me and said—pulling out something from her pocket—a bottle of the dangerous substance—handing it over to me, "I know you don't want to trust me, but you'll find out the truth about your darling Anna real soon. She's not as pure as you think she is, Diego. She's a slut."

"Where did you get this?" I asked, squinting my eyes at her.

But she chose to act mysterious, patting me on the chest.

"Everything will be clear soon. Old habits die hard."

She returned to the living room without looking back.

Her desperation to prove Anna's truth to me, gave me my answer immediately.

They're plotting against Anastasia!
