Chapter 81 Chapter 81: Fuck Fuck Fuck
Chapter 81 Chapter 81: Fuck Fuck Fuck
Lilian's POV.
Dread washed over me as I swallowed hard.
“Why–why would you even do that?”
Cole shot me that “why not?” Look, “It's a guy thing. He's too focused on games, and workouts. He needs to experience love, he needs to experience a sweet girl caring for him.”
Oh no Cole, he doesn't need that. He has me. I'm sweet enough for him and I care about him!
But those words remained in my head, I wouldn't dare voice them out.
My insides bubbled with fear as my shaky hands reached for the cutting board, passing it to Cole.
“I honestly don't think that's necessary. He'll find the right one when the time is right. Also, I don't think it's healthy to force him to connect with someone,” I discouraged him, hoping he'd fall for it.
“Whatever, moral police.” He taunted, picking the knife on the cutting board.
Hearing him call me a moral police after so many months made guilt crawl up my skin, making me feel dirty. I used to be big on morals, but here I was, indulging in a forbidden relationship.
What would become of the said morals that I preached?
I wasn't even done processing that thought when another came to mind. Cole was actually right. Leon had not entertained anyone since his fake girlfriend. But it wasn't because he didn't want to connect with any female, it was because of me. We loved each other so much and despite not having a label to what we had going on, we stayed loyal to each other.
However, the thought that one day, we would have to end this…hell, who am I kidding, in three days, we'd have to end this. The thought of that made my chest tighten with pain. Why was I so unlucky with love? I'd searched for the right one, dated several guys but they either cheated or ended up cheating on me.
Now that I'd found the right person, I couldn't even be with him. Well, it was always going to end…it just felt harder to let go especially now that we were getting closer to the deadline.
When I blinked back into reality, my vision blurred again. My insides grew hot and a strange feeling of cold overwhelmed me. A hard lump formed in my throat as I stumbled back from the island.
Cole turned to me, his profile a mix of concern and surprise, “Lilian? Are you okay? Why do you look so pale?”
I tried to speak but my lips quivered, the hotness inside me grew stronger, the heat inside increasing as well. Despite feeling so hot inside, goosebumps appeared on my skin as I shivered.
“Co–doc, plea–” I tried to speak but the dizziness increased.
Fuck.
Why couldn't I talk?
Why the hell was I feeling this weird?
My breathing slowed as I tried to clear my sight, forcing my vision to stare at the vegetables. Damnit, I was meant to be cooking but now, I felt…so weak. My knees wobbled and before I could realize what was going on, my body crashed to the floor with a loud thud.
Everything went black after that.
The next time my eyes opened, I found myself in the walls of my room. Leon was on the right side while Cole was on the left.
“Wha–what happened to me?” I asked, my voice sounding dry.
Cole stared at me, gently stroking my hair while his brows arched. I couldn't tell if he was worried or pissed, or if he was both. I turned my head over to Leon, his face was icy, and his eyes were void of emotion.
What was going on?
“Would anyone please talk? Did I pass out? Is it something serious?”
All I got in response was the eerie silence from before. Their silence made my heart spike with fear, I tried to push back the negative thoughts, assuring myself that nothing bad happened to me and I was okay.
“I thought you said you broke with Herald,” Cole finally broke the silence, his question making my face split with confusion.
“What are you talking about? I did break up with him,” I replied, wondering where he was headed and how that was related to me.
Cole stopped stroking my hair, “So how come you're pregnant Lilian?”
The words slammed me like a huge slap. My body went stiff and for a moment, I couldn't breathe. My eyes widened as the wave of fear came upon me.
I shook my head–the only movement my body was capable of at the moment.
“No–no, wha–WHAT? How can I be pregnant? There's no way in hell! No, I'm not!” I snapped, my teeth literally vibrating in my mouth.
My head turned to Leon and he stood there–not moving, not uttering a word. But I saw through his shield, he constantly rubbed his forehead, squared his shoulders repeatedly and pressed his lips into a thin line.
Fuck.
He was panicking.
Oh God oh God oh God.
How could this be possible?
How did we….the memories of our sexcapades came to mind. I'd initially been consistent on birth control but I stopped taking for a while, procrastinating my plans to purchase new ones.
Shit.
I should have gone earlier.
“How…who told you this?” I asked, my voice cracking from the realization of what this meant.
Everything was ruined!
“After you passed out, we had a doctor come check you out. She told us that you'd passed out because your body was adjusting to the baby and whatever she said,” Cole said, sounding overwhelmed by the news.
Fuck fuck fuck.
How could I be pregnant?
Shit.
My brain was literally blank. I didn't even know how to handle the news.
My parents were going to be home in a few days from now.
What would I tell them?
How would they take the news?
They might even decide to find a way about it but how will they accept that it's my stepbrother who impregnated me?
