Zane’s POV

Watching Zara’s face as she looked around the house and I knew that I had found our new home. I honestly didn’t care where I lived as before Zara I hardly ever spent any time at home. The house was just to keep up appearances, but now I wanted a home, and the heart of the home is the wife. Now I was going to have it, and I could not wait until the day I moved in. As we walked back down the drive, I pulled out my phone and rang my lawyer.

“Mr Mitchell” he greeted

“A real estate agent will be sending you through some information. I want you to make sure that everything goes through as I would like to move into the house next week”

“I will make sure of it is sir, I will let you know when everything is ready and you can send though the payment”

“Thank you” I hung up and wrapped my arm around Zara “Should we go and see how the others got on?”

“Yes” she nodded “Ring Gerald first, I am hoping that him and Ivy had the same luck as us”

“No need” I chuckled as we reached the gate and Gerald and Ivy were stood waiting.

“What are you guys doing here?” Zara laughed

“I was about to ask you the same thing” Ivy chuckled as she looked at the private lane behind us “What is down there?”

“Our new house” Zara grinned “It is so amazing and the twins already picked out their rooms”

“Really” Ivy grinned at her “As we are going to live right there” she pointed at the house next door to ours. It was close, but you could not see each other’s house.

“We will need to make a path between them” Zara told her while looking at me

“Why” I sighed “Gerald can just bring her over whenever she wants”

“What if you guys are not with us?” Ivy asked “I agree and we need a path as our children might also want to use it to play with each other”

“Fine” I sighed “I will have a path built between the houses”

“Did you both know that the houses were right next to each other?” Zara asked me

“Not for certain” I chuckled “But I saw that the house next door was for sale and it looked like something Gerald would like”

“I also saw this one and had a feeling you and Zane would love it” Gerald added

“I am even more in love with the house now I know you will be so close” Ivy grinned

“I wonder how Bethany and Albert went” Zara asked, “Or is there another house nearby that they are looking at?”

“No clue” I shrugged as I pulled out my phone again to call then. As I honestly didn’t have a clue where they would be looking for a house.

“We are just heading back to the wharf now with Betty and Roland” Albert told me

“How did the house hunting go for you all?” I asked

“Bethany and I found the perfect place, but Betty and Roland didn’t have the same look” he sighed

“I am sending you a location bring them here” I told him as I sent him my location and then quickly ran back up the house we looked at. Thankfully the agent was still packing up. “Do you mind staying a bit longer?” I asked him “My in-laws had no look house hunting, so I want to see if they like the servant quarters here”

“Of course,” he smiled “I will just finish packing everything away and wait in my car while you show them around. I can work on the paperwork and send it to your lawyer while you show them around”

“Thank you” I nodded as I called Gerald and told him to come up to the house with the girls and kids.

They arrived a few minutes later and Zara gave a confused look.

“Your parents didn’t have any look finding a place, so I thought I would see if they liked the servant quarters here. If they do, I will then contact the agent for the restaurant over the road and see if we can look around. Then I can buy your parents the restaurant and they can stay with us”

“I like your plan” she grinned “But how long will it take them to drive here? As I don’t even know where here is”

“We are only ten minutes away from the wharf” I told her “So depending on where they are they should be here..”

“Now” Gerald finished for me as he pointed down the road, and we saw my car arriving.

“Did you want to show us the house you chose?” Betty asked as she walked over to us.

“Not exactly” I chuckled “I want to see if you like the servant quarters and if you do, I was thinking you could live with us and then we could look at the restaurant that is for sale over the road”

“You would be ok with us living with you?” Roland asked

“It’s a huge house” I laughed “And I am sure a house will eventually come up in the area that you like. I was more thinking about the restaurant for you both”

“Come look at the kitchen” Zara told Roland as she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the house.

“While you show them around, I will go and get the number for the restaurant” I told her once we were all inside. I then quickly left and transported myself to the alley next to the restaurant. I walked out and called the number on the sign. The person was shocked that I wanted to look around the restaurant, apparently it had been for sale a very long time. The agent was happy to come and meet us once I told them my in-laws were just looking around a house with my wife. I then went back to the house.

“The agent is on the way to meet us at the restaurant now” I told everyone

“Then let’s go” Zara grinned
