Chapter 54 She was Victor’s Assiatant

Victor had known early on that Paul would attend the charity gala organized by the Morison family, so he brought Sophia along to see if she would talk to Paul.

However, he didn't expect...

She was indeed a woman of a cheap nature.

She had only just seen Zach at noon, and now in the evening, she couldn't wait to get close to Paul.

It seemed that his judgment was wrong. After spending a few days with Sophia, he actually thought she was not bad. Moreover, her efficiency in handling matters was only average. Victor had entertained the idea before that Sophia was not a vulgar woman, but now it seemed that she was no different from those who sold their bodies for money.

With a disdainful snort, Victor turned and went downstairs.

Sophia's wrist was held by Paul, and her beautiful eyebrows furrowed. She said, "Let go."

"Hey, little girl, don't be so fierce. I just want to chat with you. Which boss are you working for? I know all the bosses here. If you have a good chat with me, maybe I can help you get a promotion and raise. Don't you want that?" Paul asked with a smile, his hand continuing to touch Sophia freely.

Sophia felt insulted, and she didn't like this feeling at all. She warned, "I don't know you well. If you don't let go, I'll call someone."

"What?" Paul was taken aback, laughing, "I haven't done anything to you, why would you call someone? Hahaha."

After Paul finished speaking, he put his hand on Sophia's shoulder and said, "As a girl, working must be tiring for you. How about coming to my company? I'll give you a high salary. What do you think?"

Sophia glanced at the disgusting hand on her shoulder, her heart sinking a little. She gritted her teeth and asked, "How much is the high salary?"

"Ten thousand dollars a month. How do you feel about that?" he raised a finger.

Sophia couldn't help but laugh at his teasing. She quietly moved the hand on her shoulder away and said, "Sorry, ten thousand dollars is too little. I currently make twenty thousand dollars a month. I can't enjoy your mediocre company, so I won't go."

"My mediocre company?" The smile on Paul's face instantly disappeared, and he was somewhat annoyed. "Where do you work? How dare you look down on my company? Do you know who I am?"

"I don't know, but let me remind you, I am Victor's assistant at Aadelha Group. Whoever you are, please show me some respect," Sophia proudly lifted her chin. She didn't believe that there was anyone more prestigious than Victor here!

Even though she was just a small assistant, she was Victor's assistant.

Just as Sophia finished speaking, Paul's face changed. He took two steps back and cleared his throat, "You're Mr. Hastings' assistant?"

"As for your proposal just now, I'll mention it to Mr. Hastings when I go back. If he agrees for me to go to your company, maybe I can go," Sophia innocently smiled. "But you know the consequences of poaching someone from Mr. Hastings, right? Well, I don't know."

Paul chuckled awkwardly and said, "I was just joking, don't take it seriously. Since you're Mr. Hastings' assistant, your salary must be quite high." As he said this, Paul looked around, making sure Victor wasn't there. Greedily, he suddenly approached Sophia and said, "However, if you really want to come, I can give you two hundred thousand dollars."

Sophia raised an eyebrow, not understanding what Paul meant.

Paul smiled as he took off his expensive watch and held Sophia's fair hand, placing the watch in her palm. He said, "You can think about it when you get home. If you're willing to come, I'll give you a generous commission, and you must bring me some gifts, like a proposal or something else..."

Sophia felt nervous. What did Paul want to do to Aadelha Group?

Before she could ask, a dark figure suddenly appeared in front of her. Before Sophia could react to what was happening, a scream filled the air. Paul, who had just been standing beside Sophia, was now lying on the ground. The surrounding guests were terrified and scattered in all directions.

Paul was dazed, covering his face, his palms covered in blood. He angrily stared at Zach, who had suddenly rushed out, shouting, "What's the matter with you?"

"How dare you touch her!" Zach roared like a mad beast, viciously kicking Paul!

How could Paul tolerate a young man hitting him? He was furious and got up to fight Zach. The security guards from The Morison family saw this and rushed to stop them, but Paul shouted, "Get lost." Then, he looked at Zach intensely and said, "Alright, you're quite formidable, to keep provoking me like this. Do you think I, Paul Anderson, am a coward? Come here!"

With his furious roar, Paul's bodyguards quickly approached, four in total, surrounding Zach.

Zach pushed Sophia to the side and said, "Wait here, I'll take you home later."

Clearly, they were about to start a fight!

Sophia quickly stopped Zach, saying, "Don't fight in front of so many people."

"Don't worry, Sophia, I'll be back soon," Zach comforted her with a smile.

Paul couldn't hold back anymore. Zach had hit him and didn't even consider him a threat. He was too arrogant!

"You guys, make sure this guy can't get up!"

Several bodyguards rushed forward.

Zach didn't have time to explain to Sophia. After pushing her away with force, he lifted his leg and kicked away the oncoming bodyguard. Soon, a few people were entangled in a brawl.

Other people who were attending the charity event said, "Paul, it's too much to have so many people beat up on one young man. Stop!"

"You all blind? He rushed at me first," Paul said.

"This is Morison Villa. Are you trying to go against The Morison family?" a man reminded sternly.

Paul said, "The Morison family hasn't spoken yet. Do you have the right to speak?"

The man's face turned embarrassed.

Paul continued, "Hit him hard! He's just a rotten kid from the Carter family, his father isn't here, and I don't mind teaching him a lesson in his father's place!"

Paul was extremely arrogant!

Upon hearing this, Zach became even angrier. What qualification did this jerk have to teach him a lesson?

Thinking about how Paul had just touched and hugged Sophia, Zach felt jealous! Zach was infuriated, his eyes turning crimson. Anger made him impulsive. Despite being young and strong, he still couldn't overcome the four bodyguards.

Paul didn't expect Zach to be so tough. Seeing that Zach was almost overpowering the bodyguards, Paul turned around and grabbed a bottle of alcohol, walking towards Zach. He wanted to smash this arrogant guy to death!

Sophia noticed Paul's actions and quickly rushed forward, asking, "What are you doing?"

"Get out of the way." Paul shoved Sophia aside.

Sophia, wearing high heels, lost her balance and fell to the ground. She desperately waved her hands, trying to grab onto a nearby chair to prevent herself from falling, but she missed and collided with something hard. Sophia's eyes turned red from pain, and when she looked up, she met a pair of aggressively intimidating eyes. Sophia was scared, her face pale!
