In general, regular people wouldn't choose to come to this kind of hospital. Most of the time, only pregnant women and children would come to this hospital.
There is no doubt that Sophia couldn't be pregnant, but she also didn't have any children.
Just now, she hurriedly ran out of the company, clearly because there was an urgent matter. If it wasn't her own illness, then it might be a relative or friend's illness, or perhaps it was a child related to her.
"Mr. Hastings, should we go and check it out?" David couldn't help but ask.
Victor shook his head. "It's not appropriate."
David thought, 'He's right. If we run into her at the hospital, we won't be able to explain. We can't possibly say that two men came to see a gynecologist, right?'
That would be crazy.
There was only one entrance to this hospital. Sophia would definitely leave through this door when she came out. If they wanted to know who she saw at the hospital, all they needed to do was wait outside the door.
Victor leaned against the car, his profound eyes filled with emotions. They waited for half an hour until a glimpse of a figure appeared!
"Mr. Hastings, Sophia is coming out. There's also a little girl with her!" David said in surprise.
Victor sharply looked towards Sophia's side and indeed saw a delicate little girl standing next to Sophia. He furrowed his brows tightly.
David felt strange. "Who is this little girl? She looks very young. Why is she walking with Sophia alone? She can't possibly be Sophia's child, right? If I remember correctly, her employment records indicated that she's unmarried."
"She's not married. Then how can she have a child?"
David turned his head and saw Victor staring intensely at Sophia. His gaze was so sharp that it could freeze people. Sitting in the front seat, David could clearly feel the cold aura emanating from Victor.
He felt so cold!
There was no doubt that Victor was angry!
David felt a chill behind him, instinctively tightening his clothes around his chest. He cautiously looked out of the car and saw that Sophia had already walked away. Another woman who was following Sophia quickly ran up and grabbed the little girl's hand, patting her on the bottom before pulling her away!
David was surprised to see this scene. "Mr. Hastings, that's not Sophia's child."
At that moment, Sophia walked away with her back to the little girl. She clearly saw the little girl being taken away, but she didn't care at all. Obviously, they didn't know each other!
She was just like when she left the company earlier, with no one around her except for a bag on her back. Was she feeling unwell?
Besides this reason, there was no other reasonable explanation.
Victor's expression was terrible as he thought, 'Is it because I've given Sophia too much work recently? She's been working overtime every day, so maybe her body is having problems?'
Although Victor knew that Sophia wasn't a good person, she was still just a young girl in her twenties. After careful consideration, Victor felt like he had gone too far in these past few days.
At this moment, Sophia was sitting on a bench at the bus stop. It was now the peak hour after work. Several buses passed by, but they were all crowded with people. Sophia couldn't get on.
"Drive," Victor ordered David.
Soon, the car stopped next to the bus stop. Victor rolled down the window and coldly said, "Get in."
When Sophia saw Victor, she was stunned. She looked around confusedly, patted her face, and stood up after confirming that she wasn't hallucinating. "Mr. Hastings, why are you here?"
Victor impatiently said, "Why are you talking so much?"
Sophia's face froze.
The car behind her kept honking its horn. Worried that it would disrupt traffic, she had no choice but to open the door and get in.
This wasn't the first time Sophia rode in Victor's car. However, every previous time, she had sat in the driver's seat. This was her first time sitting in the back!
With no need to drive, Sophia finally had time to examine Victor's car. His car, like him, seemed rich everywhere you looked!
Sitting in the back seat, she felt really comfortable. Most importantly, David drove very smoothly, giving her a sense of enjoyment.
Sophia suddenly understood why bosses liked to hire drivers!
She leaned against the backrest carefully. The cushion was soft and comfortable. Her smile was beautiful as she curiously asked, "Mr. Hastings, when did you see me? Why didn't I see you?"
"You're blind," Victor said coldly.
Sophia's sweet smile froze on her face. She felt speechless and thought, 'Forget it! I shouldn't have asked Victor this kind of question!'
There was a bus stop not far ahead. Sophia said to David, "Could you please stop at the next bus stop? I want to take the bus."
David looked at Victor inquiringly.
Victor said coldly, "I have a party to attend later. Come with me."
"Isn't David here? Besides, it's already quitting time. I'm not working overtime. Please drop me off at the next bus stop," Sophia said firmly, anger filling her cheeks, showing no signs of sickness!
Seeing her spirited manner, Victor smiled and said, "If you work overtime, I'll pay you triple the salary."
Excitement filled Sophia's big eyes, but she hesitated. "How much is triple the salary? Mr. Hastings, even if you give me money, I might not be able to get it."
This devil wanted to deduct her wages every day, and the few that she earned were not enough for him to deduct. Therefore, Sophia believed that even if she worked hard, she might not be able to receive any money!
She just felt tired just thinking about it. Since she couldn't get paid, she had no motivation to go to work. Therefore, she firmly refused to work overtime. She didn't believe that Victor could force her to work overtime with a knife!
Sophia's attitude was very firm. She was about to turn her head to look out the window when she saw Victor casually take out his wallet and pull out five one-hundred-dollar bills. His deep and sexy voice was very tempting. "Is that enough?"
Sophia immediately became excited, thinking to herself, 'He's giving me overtime pay on the spot! Five hundred dollars!'
Taking a deep breath, Sophia told herself to stay calm and not to lower her standards for five hundred dollars. Then, she said seriously, "Don't think that giving me money means I will work overtime. I am not that kind of person!"
Victor pulled out two more bills.
Sophia coldly sneered, "As I said, I won't be swayed."
Victor casually pulled out three more bills. "Is that enough?"
"What's a thousand dollars? I don't really like money, but I seem to really like working overtime." Quickly taking the ten bills from Victor's hand and stuffing them into her bag at lightning speed, Sophia tidied up her hair in front of her forehead and then said to David, "You can start driving."
David, sitting in the front seat, was shocked by Sophia's actions. He thought to himself, 'Didn't Sophia say she doesn't like money? Why was she so fast? I didn't even see how she reached out her hand, and all the money already went into her pocket. She's really...' David was speechless.
While sitting next to Sophia, Victor looked at her beautiful profile thoughtfully. There was a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, but he didn't even realize it.
