Chapter 587 Announcing the Truth

Jason stared at the photos, his cheek muscles twitching. He had no idea Isabella had been keeping tabs on him all this time.

Jason opened his mouth, wanting to claim that it was all his assistant's doing and that he knew nothing about it. But seeing Isabella's confident smile, he wasn't sure if she had more evidence.

"I have no idea what these are. I demand an investigation to clear my name."

Jason forced himself to say these words.

But the other executives in the conference room looked at Jason with disdain.

No one who made it to the top was a fool. If Isabella didn't have evidence, she wouldn't have made such accusations. For her to dare accuse Jason of selling company secrets in front of so many people, she must have solid proof.

"Mr. Thompson, save your words for the police."

Isabella waved her hand, and Juliet walked to the door, opening it to let in several police officers who took Jason away.

"I won't accept these baseless accusations! I'll get a lawyer to clear my name! But negotiations are the most important thing. We can't possibly win against the Williams Family!"

Jason kept shouting as he was dragged away.

It wasn't until Juliet closed the conference room door that the noise finally stopped. But Jason's words still lingered in the minds of the others.

"Jason might have betrayed us, but peace talks might really be our only option."

Another executive, who supported negotiations, spoke up. His gaze was firm, and his words carried weight.

Isabella knew this executive hadn't betrayed the company; he was genuinely considering the company's best interests.

Isabella raised her hand to stop him. She looked around at all the executives and said calmly, "Do you all know why my grandfather dissolved the company back then?"

Isabella's sudden question made many frown. They didn't really understand why the powerful family had suddenly split up and even sought the Brown Family's help to hide.

Some executives seemed to have guessed certain reasons. Connecting Isabella's support for Jeremy's actions, they had a bold idea—could this all be related to the last presidential election?

"Does it have to do with the last president? If I remember correctly, it was shortly after that election that our family went bankrupt."

An executive asked, hoping for Isabella's answer.

The other executives also looked at Isabella seriously.

Isabella nodded.

"Do you all remember what Manuel said online when he spread the virus?"

The executives nodded. They remembered Manuel's words about the Taylor Family's involvement in Henry's genetic experiments.

One executive's eyes widened in shock, and he jumped up, asking loudly, "Could Manuel have been telling the truth?"

Isabella nodded slightly. Under the shocked gazes of the executives, she said, "The genetic experiments back then led to a virus leak. To prevent the spread of the terrifying virus, my grandmother chose to perish with it. Due to the major failure of the experiment, and with Henry running for president at the time, he couldn't afford any scandals. So, he planned to eliminate everyone involved in the experiment. My grandfather supported his presidency and dissolved the family as a bargaining chip to escape the purge. But it's clear he never intended to let us go."

As soon as Isabella finished speaking, an executive raised his hand.

"If Henry made an agreement with us, he has no reason to continue targeting us."

Isabella sighed softly.

"Henry's last successful election was due to the support of the two most powerful families. This time, to win the presidency again, he needs significant achievements. There was a precious genetic serum from the old lab called Number 0 Serum. Rumor has it that my grandfather obtained it, but it's just a rumor."

Some executives' faces twitched, feeling like they were in a surreal movie.

"So Henry thinks we have the mysterious Number 0 Serum. He wants us to hand it over, but since we can't, he suspects we're against him? So he instructed the Williams Family to target us?"

Faced with the executive's question, Isabella nodded helplessly.

"At first, we even thought my grandfather injected the Number 0 Serum into a family member, but we all tested normal. Maybe the Number 0 Serum never existed, or my grandfather never got it."

The executives exchanged glances. If Henry remained suspicious, even if they helped him become president, he wouldn't let them go. So peace talks were never an option.

The negotiation supporters looked grim, and the spectators weren't much better off.

As long as Henry's suspicion remained, they couldn't just sit back and watch. Henry and the Williams Family would drag them into it.

Now, only the war supporters were left, and Isabella seemed to be on their side.

The other two factions of executives grew worried and resumed their discussion.

"Even if we can't just watch, how can we go against the Williams Family? We're not strong enough."

"I suggest we ally with the other two families. Together, we have a better chance against the Williams Family."

"But it will cost us a lot to win their support."

"This isn't the time to discuss costs. We need to choose someone to negotiate with them."

"Our relationship with the other two families is joined at the hip. If one falls, we all suffer."

Isabella watched the executives' discussion without interrupting. At least now, everyone was on the same page with her.

But just then, the conference room door was knocked on again. This time, it was Carol's assistant.

The assistant whispered something to Carol, whose face instantly darkened.

"How could they do this?"

Carol angrily slammed the table and stood up.
