Chapter 586 Three Camps
Chapter 586 Three Camps
The news of the feud between the two big families went viral, spreading like wildfire across the internet, hitting every nook and cranny of the web.
Online folks were taken aback that two families who seemed tight would have a falling out!
[Why'd Isabella pull this stunt? Weren't they on good terms with the Williams family?]
[Well, let's get real, Isabella only vibed with Mason, not so much with the rest. Remember, she shot down John's proposal.]
[But ain't Mason laid up in the hospital with some serious illness? So is Owen out for payback for his boy?]
[Marriage and elections might trump a proposal. Feels like it's apples and oranges.]
[The Williams Family had Henry's back from the jump, so sticking with him shouldn't be a problem. But why's Isabella riding with Jeremy?]
[Smells fishy! I reckon Isabella's in hot water this time 'cause she can't match the Williams Family's clout.]
Netizens stayed doubtful about the family feud, dissecting the reasons behind their clash. Yet, they didn't hold out much hope for Isabella's win, knowing her power was the weakest among the four major families.
Not only were netizens skeptical about Isabella, but some top dogs in her company were also on edge.
After dropping that statement, Isabella gathered her execs for a meeting.
"Why we gotta jump in this mess? Can't we just play nice with the Williams Family? I think we can still talk things out."
Some execs pushed for talks, thinking there was no need to butt heads with the Williams Family right now.
Some folks were on board with this view. They figured the Williams Family packed serious heat, and if the Taylor Family sided with Henry alongside them, they might lose out on most perks, but what was left would do. And the other two families, even if they teamed up, couldn't hold a candle to the Williams Family's might.
"Get real, folks! The Williams Family has us in their crosshairs. We've clawed our way back from bankruptcy and even took out the Browns under pressure from the big shots. The Williams Family thinks they can gobble us up, so we gotta push back!"
Certain execs took a more aggressive stance, slamming the table and clamoring for a showdown.
These execs were the old-timers at the company, the ones who'd busted their tails to revive the company's former glory and weren't about to let anyone snatch it away again!
"Our stocks took a nosedive, and I ain't sold on Jeremy being our guy. The other candidate ain't much better. Why not bow out of this race? Judging by our new product sales, we'll be rolling in dough. Even without the election, we'll rake in hefty profits."
The third group aimed to sit back and watch, steering clear of the election drama, quietly observing. They even thought that when push came to shove, they could watch the other three families duke it out and cash in on the chaos.
The three factions kept on bickering in the meeting room. The hawks dissed the peacemakers as scaredy-cats burying their heads in the sand.
The peacemakers saw the hawks as hotheaded mutts, thinking they had bite but would eventually get a smackdown.
The third group of execs observed quietly, playing their audience role. It wasn't until the other sides took notice and labeled them as turtles.
The three voices clashing reverberated in everyone's ears.
Juliet stood behind Isabella, nervously taking in the unfolding drama. She clutched her folder tightly, finding the noisy spectacle both grating and exasperating.
Juliet sneaked a peek at Isabella and noted her calm demeanor. Despite the chaos around them, Isabella's face remained serene, maybe with a hint of annoyance or resignation.
'Looks like Ms. Taylor's got a game plan already. Truly worthy of being hailed as a female business powerhouse,' Juliet thought, admiring Isabella.
As the uproar died down, Isabella raised a finger and lightly tapped the table twice.
"Are we done squabbling? Have we come to a decision? If you still want to argue, I can have some coffee brought in to ease those throats."
Isabella's gaze swept across the room, appearing composed but emanating a strong presence beneath the surface.
One of the peacemakers, Jason Thompson raised his hand.
"Ms. Taylor, as the CEO, which of the three ideas do you back? We gotta decide fast, or we'll kiss our stocks goodbye."
Jason's query redirected the execs' focus to Isabella.
Juliet subtly shifted to the side. Even though all eyes were on Isabella, standing behind her made her uneasy, as if their stares were also on her.
Isabella, now the focal point, gazed calmly at Jason.
"Mr. Thompson, before I give you an answer, I've got a question for you."
Isabella spoke up suddenly, her eyes briefly darting towards Carol. Carol nodded subtly in response.
Jason looked at Isabella with a smile. "What's on your mind, Ms. Taylor?"
Isabella locked eyes with Jason, a faint smile dancing on her lips.
"What did Owen offer you to turn on the company and spill the beans to him?"
As Isabella's words hung in the air, Jason's expression soured.
Slamming his hand on the table, he rose to his feet, pointing at Isabella in anger. "Isabella, what's the deal? You accusing me of stabbing the company in the back?"
The other execs shot puzzled looks at Isabella.
Lounging back in her chair, Isabella regarded Jason calmly, hugging her shoulders.
"I won't call you out without proof in this setting. Owen's been blabbing online about our tax mess. How does he have that info? He's bold enough to throw accusations around, hinting he's got some inside scoop, not even worried about us taking legal action. Who spilled the beans to him?"
Jason's expression shifted once more, this time a mix of guilt and panic. Isabella's words echoed in his mind – this woman had the goods.
Isabella opened the folder before her, sliding out photos and info onto the conference table.
"These are logs of your computer activity and pics of your assistant meeting Owen on the sly. Don't try to pin this on your assistant; they've spilled the beans already."
