Chapter 584 Hit the Foot
Chapter 584 Hit the Foot
After Bianca was escorted away by bodyguards in front of reporters, the scene was captured and shared online.
Netizens wasted no time in poking fun at Bianca.
[Wasn't she supposed to be the big shot in the industry? How'd she end up getting the boot?]
[I can only imagine Isabella's face when she saw Bianca being hauled away."
[Even without the royal bloodline, Isabella's got it all going for her.]
[Does Bianca think we're still living in medieval times or what?"]
[Look at her face, I can't stop laughing!]
Bianca became the target of online ridicule once more, with some even turning Isabella's words into catchy headlines and memes.
In one image, Isabella boldly told reporters that no one could take what was rightfully hers.
[Isabella is such a boss.]
[Isabella's confidence is off the charts, no wonder Bianca got shown the door.]
[Remember when Isabella was engaged to John? That guy must be kicking himself now.]
While poking fun at Bianca, netizens didn't hold back on teasing John either.
Back at the vineyard, Bianca came across the online comments and furiously hurled her phone to the ground.
"I'll show them! These people deserve to be launched into space on a rocket and dumped on Mars!"
In the living room, Bianca fumed, feeling not just defeated but also utterly humiliated.
After venting her anger, Bianca retrieved her phone from the carpet.
The soft carpet cushioned the fall, saving the phone from damage.
Bianca swiped through the screen and stumbled upon a news article.
It was a statement from the Taylor Group.
[Isabella's leadership of the group is solid, and any challenges against it are unfounded. The company's staff fully support Isabella, regardless of the Taylor Family lineage.]
It was an official declaration of Carol and the other employees' backing of Isabella.
"Why are you all so taken with Isabella? What the hell is so special about her that's got you all wrapped around her finger?"
Bianca yelled in frustration, angrily tossing her phone to the ground once more.
As John entered the room, he let out a yelp of pain as the phone hit his foot.
"What the heck are you doing?"
John glared at Bianca, clearly upset.
It was then that Bianca realized the chaos she had caused in her outburst and rushed to check on John's injury.
"Sweetheart, are you okay? I didn't mean to, please sit down, let me check your foot."
Bianca assisted John to the couch, removed his shoe and sock, and examined his foot.
John's foot was a bit swollen, but nothing serious. It would be fine after some rest.
"Darling, I'm so sorry, I lost control of myself."
Bianca looked at John apologetically.
John, now calmer, responded, "It's alright, you seem better now."
As he put his shoe back on, John asked composedly, "I heard you paid a visit to Isabella at the company?"
Bianca nodded, a hint of irritation in her voice. "That woman really embarrassed me, and her crew jumped in too. I just can't wrap my head around why they'd do that, especially when Isabella doesn't even have the Taylor Family bloodline."
John let out a soft sigh and shook his head.
"I thought you were just venting online. I didn't think you'd actually confront her in person. Do you really believe those employees are loyal to the Taylor Family?"
This question from John left Bianca puzzled.
"Aren't they, though? If they're not loyal to the Taylor Family, how come they're so quick to rally behind Isabella to lead the four families?"
John shook his head.
"What really drives these folks is self-interest! Isabella has given them plenty of perks! She pays her employees 10% more than Jasper did. People care about their own well-being, and Isabella offers them a better deal."
"I can do that too," Bianca fired back.
John shot Bianca a quick glance.
"Have you thought that maybe another reason they're not backing you is because of me?"
Bianca was visibly surprised.
John continued, "Considering our relationship, if you took over the Taylor Family, eventually, the whole family would be under my influence. Back when Jasper was in charge, the company was falling apart, and the higher-ups had no choice. But now they see a brighter future with Isabella, a fresh option, so naturally, they're not banking on me."
John's explanation hit home with Bianca, shedding light on the situation.
Bianca briefly toyed with the idea of faking a breakup with John to regain control of the family business. But she quickly dismissed it, not willing to risk John taking it seriously, especially now that she wasn't carrying his second child.
Suddenly, John remembered something and furrowed his brow, asking Bianca, "You didn't spill the beans about Isabella and my uncle, did you?"
Bianca immediately shook her head, almost slipping up but halted by the bodyguards.
Seeing Bianca's denial, John breathed a sigh of relief.
"My father advised us to keep that under wraps for now. He seems to be waiting for the right moment, but I'm not entirely sure. Maybe he doesn't want outsiders to know about the family rift. It could impact the presidential race."
John believed he grasped Owen's intentions. With limited options, Bianca nodded in agreement.
With Mason now under control, Bianca would need Owen's green light to access the Williams Villa in the future.
Meanwhile, overseas, Michael sealed a deal, selling the company's shares for a hefty sum.
"Mr. Sullivan, here's to a successful partnership."
Michael shook hands with the client, Miles Sullivan, before parting ways.
After Michael departed, Miles entered a secluded room and handed the signed contract to Ryan.
