Chapter 183 Duel

Chapter 183 Duel

"Kill me?"

He spread his arms wide, leaving himself completely unguarded, his handsome face full of contempt.

"Reaper, you really think you can kill a Templar Knight all by yourself?"

"I'll admit, you've got skills. But you're seriously underestimating the Knights Templar."

Just then.

Every floor-to-ceiling window around the living room shattered inward simultaneously.

Ivy, Serafina, Charlotte, Victoria—four figures burst through like bloodthirsty panthers!

At the same time, up on the second-floor gallery, Olivia leveled a sniper rifle, the crosshairs locked cold on Ashfall's forehead.

"Boss."

Olivia's icy voice drifted down from above. "Shadow squad has the perimeter locked down tight. Not even a fly's getting out."

Seeing this, Ashfall didn't panic. Instead, the gleam of satisfaction in his eyes only grew brighter.

Just as he thought!

Leo really had planted this many people outside!

What did that mean?

It meant Leo's target tonight had been him and Louis all along!

As for Erwin... he was just bait to draw attention.

If Erwin were really Leo's mole, why would Leo show such obvious killing intent at the exact moment Erwin had just 'defected' successfully?

That would be sabotaging his own plan.

So...

Erwin really had joined The Evernight Order in good faith!

Leo's true target tonight was him!

Realizing this, Ashfall's smile grew even brighter.

"Reaper, looks like you really do want me dead."

Ashfall casually adjusted his cuffs, his pure blue eyes glittering with excitement.

"But... did you really think I'd come here unprepared?"

He snapped his fingers sharply.

CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.

Hidden doors around the living room opened simultaneously.

More than a dozen elite Evernight Order assassins in black tactical gear poured out like ghosts, surrounding the entire room.

Not only that.

BAM!

The main entrance was kicked open from outside.

Two towering figures strode in with heavy footfalls.

They were both close to 6'6", massive. Each gripped a wickedly curved blade, the surfaces etched with ancient runes that gleamed with an eerie cold light.

"The 'Double Blades' from Ireland?"

Victoria narrowed her eyes, a flicker of gravity crossing her face.

"Connor and Murphy... Those psychos are legendary in the underground. Word is they butchered an entire crime family in Dublin with those two blades."

"Interesting."

A rare hint of battle lust crossed Charlotte's cold features. Six silver scalpels danced deftly between her slender fingers.

"I'd love to test them. See just how sharp those 'legendary' blades really are."

With that, Charlotte's form shot forward like white lightning, charging straight at the Double Blades!

"Kill!"

Connor and Murphy exchanged a glance and exploded into motion.

Their curved blades wove a web of death in midair, rushing toward Charlotte with suffocating killing intent!

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Steel flashed, cold light erupted!

Charlotte moved with fluid grace, like an elf dancing on knife-edges.

Her scalpels traced silver arcs through the air, parrying every strike from the brothers with surgical precision.

CHING! CHING! CHING!

The sharp ring of metal on metal filled the room. Sparks flew!

Meanwhile.

Ivy, Serafina, and Victoria had already engaged the dozen Evernight Order elites!

Ivy's claw blades became death's scythe—every swing claimed a life.

Serafina's long legs turned lethal, the poisoned blades hidden in her heels leaving a gruesome gash across one assassin's throat.

Victoria simply drew twin Desert Eagles, the barrels spitting deadly fire!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The entire living room transformed into a slaughterhouse!

And amid this blood-soaked chaos.

Leo and Ashfall stood facing each other, as if untouched by the carnage around them.

"Reaper."

A playful smile curved Ashfall's lips. "Since your people have made their move, shouldn't we get some exercise too?"

"I'd love to see just how strong the Reaper who tore through Europe's entire underground really is."

Before the words even finished.

Ashfall vanished from where he stood!

The speed was far beyond human limits!

By the time Leo registered it, Ashfall's slender hand had become a razor-sharp blade, stabbing straight for Leo's heart!

BOOM!

Leo raised his arm, blocking the strike with pinpoint precision.

Their limbs collided midair with a muffled explosion!

A terrifying shockwave radiated outward, flipping furniture in every direction!

CRASH! CRASH!

A flicker of surprise crossed Ashfall's eyes. "Not bad. No wonder you tore through Europe."

He flashed forward again, launching another attack!

This time, his hands became phantoms, a relentless flurry of strikes—each one lightning-fast, thunder-hard!

Leo's gaze sharpened. He got serious.

Their figures clashed like twin bolts of lightning across the room!

Where fist met fist, shockwaves rolled. Sonic booms cracked the air!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

After dozens of exchanges.

Leo's punch sent Ashfall stumbling back several steps, a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Truly worthy of the name Reaper..."

Ashfall wiped the blood away, his battle lust burning hotter. "But if this is all you've got, you can't kill me!"

What Ashfall didn't know was this:

Leo had been holding back with every punch, every kick.

If Leo unleashed his full power, Ashfall would already be pulp.

But Leo's goal wasn't to kill Ashfall.

It was to make Ashfall believe he'd figured out Leo's true strength.

Only then would the big fish stay on the hook.

Sure enough.

After another few dozen exchanges, a gleam of understanding flashed in Ashfall's eyes.

He'd roughly mapped out Leo's attack patterns and power ceiling.

Strong, yes. But not unbeatable!

More importantly...

Ashfall's goal tonight had never been to kill Leo.

It was to test Leo's real strength!

Mission accomplished.

Continuing would only rack up casualties.

"Reaper, let's call it here for tonight."

Ashfall suddenly leaped back, shouting to the brothers still locked in combat with Charlotte. "Connor! Murphy! We're out!"

The Double Blades heard the command, forced Charlotte back, and bolted for the windows!

The Evernight Order elites hurled smoke grenades, scattering under the thick cover!

"You want to run? Leave your lives behind!"

Leo let out what sounded like a 'furious' roar, launching himself forward like an enraged lion, his fist hammering toward where Ashfall was retreating through the smoke.

But by the time he broke through the haze.

Ashfall had already smashed through the backyard glass door with the Double Blades, vanishing into the pitch-black night beyond the estate in a few bounds.

"Damn it! He got away!"

Leo stood at the shattered window, slamming his fist into the frame and denting the reinforced metal.

Hearing that 'frustrated' curse from the distance, Ashfall—hidden in the darkness—allowed an arrogant, satisfied smirk to curl his lips before melting completely into the shadows.

However.

When the night wind cleared the lingering smoke from the hall.

The 'fury' on Leo's face vanished in an instant as he stood at the broken window.

He calmly pulled a cigar from his coat pocket, lighting it with the flick of his fingertip.

Those eyes, deep as an abyss—there wasn't a trace of anger left.

Only the endless mockery and amusement of a predator toying with its prey.

"Smug idiot."

Leo exhaled a plume of smoke, his voice a whisper from hell itself. "Your arrogance is the countdown to The Evernight Order's annihilation."
