Chapter 21: The Truth and Kidnapped

The next morning we both get up and get dressed.

I say, "Bethany, are you ready to do this?"

She looks at me and says, "Yes I am ready. Lets go."

We walk to Kyle's office and knock on his door. He tells us to come in. He stands as soon as he sees that it is us. He tries to hug Bethany, but she tells him not to touch her. You can see the pain in his eyes. Both Bethany and I sit down in the chairs in front of his desk. You can tell that he really did a number on his office. There are holes in the walls, his sofa is broken, his paintings are broken, and some of the chairs are still stuck in the walls.

I go ahead and speak, "Kyle we are here for you to confirm that what we heard last night was true."

He gulps and looks right at Bethany and says, "Bethany I am so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. Before I left for Supernatural High, I did tell Tracey that I wanted to marry her and we do have a son together. Then I met you and found out that you were my mate and I was so happy. When we came here, I tried talking to Tracey and telling her that there would never be a marriage between us. We may share a son, but that is all. I told her that you are my mate and that I love you, Bethany. Please believe me."

I see Bethany with tears streaming down her face and she says, "Why didn't you either tell me the truth or reject me? Maybe I should reject you."

Kyle stands and says, "Please Bethany do not reject me. I love you. I want to spend the rest of my lilfe with you. Tracey leaves for Supernatural High in about 2 weeks and then she will not be here to bother us. I want you to get to know my son. He is an amazing little boy."

She says, "When do you spend time with him because the only free time that you are away from me is when you are here in your office working?"

Kyle says, "His grandparents bring him here while I am working and he either plays alone with his toys and I watch him or I usually get down and play with him."

I say, "That is not a lot of time to spend with your son. He deserves to have more time with you and Bethany. She is going to be his step-mother after all."

He just nods his head and says, "I know. I was going to tell Bethany the truth and have her meet my son, Aiden. Then Tracey told you everything. Now everything is a mess."

"I love you so much Bethany. Please forgive me."

"I don't know Kyle, you have really hurt me. I think today, Everly and I are going back to my old pack and I am going to spend some time with my parents. I need time to think and decide what I want to do. I will only be gone for a couple of weeks."

He nods his head with tears in his eyes and says, "Ok, I will miss you and I love you so much. Just please don't reject me. Can you please call me when you get there so that I know that you arrived safe and sound?"

I say, "Yes Kyle we will call you when we arrive. Bethany will stay with her parents and I will go and stay with mine. We both have a lot of thinking to do.

He just nods his head and goes and sits behind his desk. We leave and go and pack our things. A couple of warriors come to take our bags to my car. Kyle and his parents are all waiting outside for us. His parents hug Bethany and tell her that they are sorry and they tell me that it was nice to meet me and that I am great friend.

Kyle hugs me and whispers, "Please take care of her for me. She is my life."

I say, "Of course I will. She is my best friend. Just give her some time and she will be back." I then go and get into the driver's seat of the car. I watch as Kyle approaches Bethany and hugs her. She doesn't hug him back. He kisses her on her cheek and tells her goodbye. Bethany just turns around and walks to get into my car. I start the engine and proceed down the long road to where the border patrols are. Bethany is sobbing and she turns and looks back at Kyle one last time and then we pull out onto the highway.

We are driving along when something hits the car and I lose control of the car and we hit a tree. I look over at Bethany and she is holding her wrist. I look in the mirror and have a huge gash on my forehead.

Bethany says, "What was that?"

I say, "I don't know, I didn't see anything in the road. It was like something ran into the car and I lost control. I am going to get out and look around."

Before either one of us could get out of the car, we are pulled out by our hair and drug away from the car. They throw us down onto the ground and we finally see our captors. They are rogues. They tie us up, gag us, and then inject a syring full of fluid into our necks. I immediately start feeling dizzy and then all I see is darkness.

When I wake up, I am in a cold and dark dungeon, I am chained to the wall with silver chains. I look around me and see that Bethany is in silver chains too. Those rogues must have given us wolfsbane to knock us out. I try to contact my wolf, but she doesn't answer. Bethany finally wakes up and looks around.

"Everly, where are we? Those rogues must have given us wolfsbane to knock us out. I tried to contact my wolf, but she isn't replying. Also, I tried to mindlink Kyle, but there is nothing but static. I am so scared."

I say, "I know Bethany, I am scared too. i wonder why they kidnapped us and what they are going to do to us? I also cannot reach my wolf and I tried Colton, but all I get is static."

All of a sudden, a door opens and we see the light of a torch and footsteps coming closer to us. It is four rogues. They unchain us and take us up the stairs and into some kind of house. We walk through the house and there are a lot of rogues here. We stop when we get to a wooden door. One of the rogues knock and someone says to come in. We go into some kind of office and there is a man sitting behind a desk. He gets up and walks towards us. He is extremely good looking with black hair, brown eyes, and a lot of muscles. He also has a scar running down the right side of his face.

He smiles at us and says, "Welcome to my home. You will be with us for awhile."

Bethany looks at him and says, "Who are you and why did you guys kidnap us?

He chuckles and says, "Well, everyone should know me." He then gives a cruel smile.

I say, "Well we have no clue as to who you are."

He says, "I am..............."
