Chapter 600: Come Catch Me

Chapter 600: Come Catch Me

James's eyes narrowed slightly. The Gonzalez Family really had hidden talents. Interesting.

A cold voice fell from the night sky, followed by a dark shadow silently flashing in through the ventilation duct.

She seemed like a mass of darkness, landing without a sound, dressed entirely in black that even the lights could barely penetrate.

She looked unremarkable, but the floor tile where she landed instantly cracked, spreading out like a spider web.

Her aura was so strong that many people around couldn't help but step back.

Several Lumaria people were also dumbfounded, having never seen a warrior of this caliber—to them, such powerful fighters only existed in novels and TV shows.

The old woman in black slowly straightened up, unfolding inch by inch, stopping only when she reached nearly five feet tall.

Then, a wrinkled old face lifted up, bloodless and emotionless, with only her eyes flashing cold light, sharp as blades.

"You have three seconds. Let her go."

Ingrid commanded James domineeringly: "Then do as I say."

James looked at her coldly with contempt: "You're not worthy."

"You're asking for death."

Ingrid's face turned cold. She leaped up like an eagle pouncing on a rabbit, flying several meters through the air, diving down at James from above while reaching out with one hand.

She wanted to intimidate James, to grab his neck in one move. But something unexpected happened.

Her steel-gloved claw, half a foot from James's head, was blocked by a black sword and couldn't advance an inch further.

Ingrid immediately let out a sharp cry, surging power bursting from within, attacking Francis who blocked her way.

A loud boom, fierce energy scattered, shockwaves spread, four or five people nearby were knocked over, and Ingrid and Francis each stepped back several paces.

Ingrid shook her wrist, dispersing the remaining force on her glove, then sneered at James:

"After I tear down your Bright Heart Hall Clinic, I'll deal with you slowly."

Her judgment was the same as Valencia's side—James was only so arrogant because he relied on Francis's martial power.

James was noncommittal: "I'll wait."

Ingrid shouted, shifted her steps, and rushed forward to battle Francis.

Ingrid was indeed formidable. Despite her small stature, she was extremely agile, striking ruthlessly, constantly releasing energy that sent sand and stones flying.

Francis swung his sword several times, but Ingrid blocked them all smoothly, then clawed at him several times. Though she didn't hit vital points, he was already bleeding.

Valencia's side was greatly encouraged.

Francis remained expressionless throughout, only making his sword faster and more ruthless.

Claw shadows tore through the air, sword light flashed, and the room was suddenly filled with clashing weapons.

Everyone instinctively stepped back. The Gonzalez Family bodyguards carried Paxton and the wounded out, both expanding the fighting space for the two and allowing them to surround James.

The Gonzalez Family elites had witnessed Francis's prowess. They put away all cold weapons and uniformly pointed their guns at James.

But with Valencia in James's hands, they didn't dare move rashly.

"Keith, do you want James dead?"

Seeing how formidable Ingrid was and James's guard being suppressed, Wendy couldn't help but shout:

"I'm telling you, if something happens to James, I'll die too."

If not for being held back tightly, she would have rushed over to stand with James.

Keith didn't respond, only coldly watching the fight.

He hoped James would die.

After another round of fighting, Ingrid's old face darkened, and she suddenly flashed out a hidden blade.

Her body suddenly bounced high up, pressing down from above, her clothes billowing wildly, her cold eyes filled with killing intent.

She locked onto Francis, like a demon god descending from the sky:

"Go to hell."

The narrow hidden blade in her hand, carrying overwhelming momentum, slashed diagonally down at Francis.

That white gleam filled with endless killing intent, fast as lightning, fierce beyond compare, the air responding with a tearing sound like ripping paper.

This strike had the power to split the sky—ordinary people couldn't escape even with wings.

However, at this moment, Francis suddenly became incredibly calm, like spring water stopping its boil.

Facing Ingrid's thunderous strike, he abandoned his own defense, stomped his right foot on the ground, his body suddenly shooting up—his sword thrusting straight at Ingrid's heart, with full force.

Mutual destruction.

Ingrid's face changed drastically. She hadn't expected Francis to be so fierce.

She wanted Francis dead, but didn't want to die with him.

The hidden blade turned, slashing over a dozen times, all landing on the black sword. Francis also swung his sword to meet each strike.

A series of loud crashes, time seemed to stop, space appeared strangely distorted.

Then, the airflow exploded, storm-like energy wrapped with blood sprayed wildly, nearby people's faces felt like they were being cut by knives.

A moment later, Francis was sent flying back.

His body kept retreating, moving while coughing up blood, the blood landing on the black sword so thick it wouldn't drip down.

Ingrid's hidden blade broke off a section. She seemed to have lost her strength, sitting down hard on the ground, her face showing pain, gasping heavily.

She stared at Francis with shock, never imagining that this youth around eighteen could fight her to mutual injury.

This skill was terrifying.

But Ingrid was also ruthless. Wiping away a trace of blood, she shouted:

"Come, he's injured—shoot him dead."

The Gonzalez Family's dignity couldn't be lost.

The Gonzalez Family elites instinctively turned their guns.

Before the words finished, James had already flashed behind Ingrid.

Smiling like an angel, moving like a devil.

Ingrid wanted to dodge, but it was too late.

James's left hand pressed on top of her head, Aether flashed.

Blood spurted, then silently fell.

A fatal wound appeared on Ingrid's neck.

James looked at her coldly: "Sorry, you're out of chances."

The entire scene suddenly fell silent, you could hear a pin drop.

Ingrid looked at James with shocked eyes, her throat punctured, unable to say a single word.

Until death, she couldn't believe James had actually killed her, but her cold body told her this was the bloody reality.

Her body slumped to the ground, life extinguished.

Everyone present was dumbfounded, even Wendy looked completely incredulous.

No one thought Ingrid would die like this, and no one thought James would actually dare kill her.

This was Ingrid—one of The Gonzalez Family's top cards. James's action wasn't just a slap in the face, it was open provocation.

There was no collective outrage, no vows of revenge.

Only a chill spreading through everyone's body.

"Kill, kill them, avenge Ingrid!"

After a long while, Valencia came to her senses, shouting irrationally: "Kill him!"

She knew clearly she was ruined.

Yves was dead, Kitano was dead, Paxton's fate looked grim, and Ingrid was dead too—she had almost no future left.

The bodyguards turned their guns again.

Valencia shouted desperately: "I don't care how capable you are, tonight you must die."

James ignored her hysteria, took out his phone and dialed a number:

"I've killed someone in public again, come arrest me..."
