Chapter 79 Moved Stella

"I am Arthur."

The female officer frowned immediately, and the male officer standing beside her also had a change in expression. He leaned closer and whispered, "This guy's sister is Mrs. Peterson."

Adolfo was the deputy director of the police station and also Arthur's uncle.

Seeing the leading female officer hesitate with a furrowed brow, Arthur felt a sense of pride. "So, it turns out you're someone of importance," the female officer nodded casually.

"Don't worry, I am aware of the procedures for handling cases. You can release my people now. Later, I will have my lawyer come to your police station to go through the formalities. Thank you for your hard work." Arthur smiled faintly.

With just a few phrases, he had managed to calm down over fifty police officers, restoring his arrogance to its former glory.

Stella was about to say something when she was interrupted by Asher pulling her to stop. Arthur dared to be so arrogant naturally because he had the confidence to back it up.

Although such behavior made people angry, they had seen it too many times to be surprised.

Stella was not an ignorant girl and was well aware of some of the workings behind the scenes. However, she couldn't help but feel angry.

"Did you all hear that? Thank you for your hard work..." The female officer looked up at the surrounding police officers, smiling slightly. Suddenly, her expression changed dramatically, and her voice rose several degrees. "Take them all back, don't let anyone go!"

As her words fell, everyone around was shocked. Even the deputy director next to her looked at her in astonishment.

No one expected this newly appointed leader to give the Peterson family even the slightest issue!

Arthur's face also darkened, his tone turning serious. "You're just starting out in society, so don't be so impulsive. Society is very complex, and there are many bad people out there. It wouldn't be good if something were to happen to you when you go out and encounter one of them, right?"

Arthur's voice was calm, his slightly narrowed eyes giving off a sinister and ambiguous gaze as he sized up the female officer's attractive figure and face.

Although his tone was light and didn't sound like a serious threat, even a fool could tell that it was a blatant warning!

The female officer glanced at Arthur, showing no signs of anger, and her eyes swept over the numerous bodyguards lying on the ground, wailing in pain. She sneered disdainfully, "You bunch of useless trash."

"You..." Arthur was speechless, his face turning purple with anger.

Arthur, relying on his prestigious background and his connection with Mrs. Peterson, had been acting recklessly and bullying others not just once or twice.

Now he had met his match with this arrogant police captain; it was his misfortune!

"What? Can't you hear me? Take them all away!" the policewoman snorted coldly once again.

As the police dragged away the unconscious bodyguards from the ground, the beautiful policewoman couldn't help but gaze at Asher and Stella.

At that moment, Asher was also sizing her up. He greatly admired the bold and unyielding police officer who had just spoken. There were still quite a few upright and mighty police officers out there.

He breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. If the other party had really given in to Arthur, he would have been taken to the police station for sure.

Of course, at this moment, Asher was even more certain that the policewoman in front of him, who looked almost identical to Scarlett, was not Scarlett.

Seeing Asher's scrutiny, the policewoman raised an eyebrow slightly. A person who could knock down thirty skilled bodyguards must be extraordinary in strength.

This made her feel an itch in her hands. She wondered who would be the winner if she fought with this guy.

"Come with us," she said.

"Okay." Asher smiled bitterly and nodded, obediently raising his hands.

The assistant took out handcuffs and stepped forward to handcuff Asher. The policewoman turned her head gently to look at Stella by the side.

Seeing this, the captain of the residential security team hurriedly stepped forward and explained, "This lady is the owner of our residential area. She did not participate in the fight and only arrived later."

The policewoman shook her head slowly and looked at Stella. "Do you have nothing to do with this incident?"

"I do. They started fighting because of me. Arthur is my..." Stella briefly explained the situation from their blind date, "I'm the vice president of the Fly Pictures. He has a lawyer, and so do I. I will definitely find a lawyer for this matter. Thank you for your fair judgment just now."

Stella's tone was calm and confident.

"No need," the policewoman shook her head. This was what she should have done. Then she raised her hand, and a policewoman in uniform hurriedly approached. "Maria, take her in a car."

"Can I ride in the same car as my colleague?" Stella asked anxiously.

"No, your situations are different. You can't ride in the same car. I will personally escort this prisoner." The policewoman directly refused, casting a cold and disdainful glance at Asher.

Women have sharp perception. From the moment she appeared here, she noticed that this guy had been looking at her and scrutinizing her up and down.

She knew very well how beautiful she was and how good her figure was. She had enjoyed such gazes too many times.

But unexpectedly, this guy, who possessed extraordinary combat skills, turned out to be a pervert, which made her despise him even more.

A few minutes later, Asher boarded the police car with reinforced protection, heading towards the New York Police Station.

Asher looked at the beautiful woman in front of him in police uniform and couldn't help but ask, "What's your name?"

The female police officer hesitated for a moment, glanced at Asher, and replied in a cold tone, "Compared to those other unscrupulous guys, you sure are more direct."

"But I like straightforward people better than those who beat around the bush and waste time," the female police officer pouted. "I have nothing to say to you!"

Asher felt embarrassed. Obviously, this policewoman mistook him for someone who was flirting or trying to pursue her.

In addition to Asher and the female police officer, there were two fully armed escorts in the carriage. Upon hearing their conversation, their faces became strange, and they suppressed their laughter.

"What's your relationship with Scarlett?" Asher asked again. Since this woman liked directness, he didn't feel like beating around the bush.

Upon hearing the name Scarlett, the female police officer, who had been cold all along, finally showed a slight change in her expression and looked at Asher. "Do you know her?"

"Of course, not only do I know her, but we're also good friends. She still hasn't returned a valuable ring of mine," Asher smiled faintly.

He was referring to the birthday gift he gave to his Grandmother, but later on, the Adams family intervened, and Asher had a big fight with them. So he let the ring go. However, he believed in Scarlett's character. She wouldn't hold onto the ring without returning it to him, so he wasn't in a hurry to ask for it back.

"A ring?" The female police officer looked at Asher, her expression filled with doubt.

My sister would never keep someone else's belongings, especially something as valuable as he claimed.

"Kumara Devi's jade ring," Asher nodded, already having a basic idea of the relationship between her and Scarlett.

"...That's impossible. How do you know that my sister has that ring?" Isabella frowned in disbelief.

"Because your sister traded that ring with me for an equally precious antique item," Asher explained.

He thought to himself, just as expected, she and Scarlett are indeed sisters, and unsurprisingly, they are biological sisters. Otherwise, they wouldn't look so similar.

But compared to the elegant Scarlett, this sister had a more dominant and fierce personality, completely different in character.

However, this wasn't surprising. It also explained why many eldest siblings in families were more stable, while younger siblings were lively and active.

"Do you really know my sister?" Isabella sounded puzzled, finding Asher's words credible.

"Of course. So when I first saw you, I thought Scarlett had changed careers. Since we're all friends, why don't you unlock my handcuffs? I won't run away," Asher suggested.

"Getting friendly with an officer, now your crimes are even worse!" Isabella glared at Asher and then instructed, "Keep an eye on him. He's a dangerous person."

Her smiling face froze in an instant.

Isabella turned her head away, no longer speaking, but discreetly took out her phone from her pocket and sent a message to her sister.

The result of the police station's handling was simple, with the crucial presence of Captain Asher, who was upright and uncompromising. After a simple routine questioning and recording by Asher and Stella, they were set free.

Asher was badly beaten, covered in bruises and dirt, while Stella had rushed out wearing her nightgown. The two of them went straight to Stella's house.

Throughout the journey, Stella remained silent. After getting out of the car, Stella quickly supported Asher.

It was unimaginable that Asher had knocked down over thirty thugs sent by Arthur. She used to think that Asher only exercised every day to strengthen his weak physique, but she had never expected him to be so powerful.

"I'm fine, but be careful not to hurt your ankle again," Asher shook his head.

"Lean on me and hurry!" Stella had always presented herself as lively and outgoing, but this time, she showed unusual determination, especially when facing her immediate superior.

The two leaned on each other, limping their way home. People on the street pointed and whispered about them.

It was hard for anyone to imagine such a significant incident happening in the community.

Stella acted like she didn't care, and Asher didn't mind either; after all, he was not a celebrity.

Stella even managed to joke and pouted, "You've put me in a difficult situation. How can I repay you?"

"I didn't want to put you in a difficult situation either. They came at me first, and I couldn't just stand there without fighting back, right?" Asher explained helplessly.

As soon as he finished speaking, Stella immediately glared at him.

When did this guy become so annoying? Couldn't he say something that would move her?

Asher also had no choice. The most beautiful response he could give should be to have Stella offer herself and give her body to him.

But he was not that kind of person at all!

Unless Stella insisted on offering herself to him.
