Chapter 37 - Dean’s POV

Two days had passed since Vince proposed to Joey but it’s still on repeat in my mind. I wondered if Sylvia would also say yes if I were to go down on one knee. Shit, thinking about it alone is already giving me mini heart attacks. I feel she’s likely to ‘no’ if I were to ask her now.

It’s not helping my heart either that Ocean is around. I could not help but succumb to the green monster whenever he’s here. A mix of irritation and jealousy envelopes me whenever I see him around Sky and Jax.

Had it not been for the ring on Ocean and Criselda’s fingers, I would not believe there’s nothing between Sky and Ocean apart from friendship.

“Don’t you get jealous?” I asked Cris while she browsed the Ramos family pictures.

“With Sylvia?” she probed, then looked toward Sky and Ocean. “I was at first. Who wouldn’t? Look at them.” She nodded at the two who were on the veranda. Sky leaned on Ocean while his arms were on her shoulder. “It only stopped when I met her in person. I knew right away there’s nothing between them but friendship.”

“I don’t know how to explain it, Dean. But they don’t have a spark. Ocean and Via are siblings from different parents. Why, Dean, are you jealous?”

“Yes. Very.”

“You must love her to feel that way.”

“Yes.”

“Does she know?”

“That I love her? I don’t know. Maybe not.”

“You know, Via is like a sister to me. And this is just my ten cents. You can take it or leave it. But if I were you, I’d let her know what you feel before she slipped away from you.”

“Why would she slip away? We have a son.”

“Your son does not guarantee your position in her life. She and Jax had a happy life, even if you were not in the picture. If you don’t let her know how you feel, how will she know? What would you do if she fell for another person who would take her and Jax from you?”

Take Sky and Jax from me? Like hell, I’d let it happen. I’d die first before I let anyone snatch them away from me. There’s no way I’m spending another second without her and my son in my life.

In the almost one week I lived with them, I have never felt so fulfilled. I used to think my career gave me the utmost happiness. Being on top of the food chain, gaining money, fame, and power, would give me a sense of fulfillment. But they did not. Nothing could match the sense of fulfillment I have whenever I see Sky and Jax happy.

“Right, so you better work hard. The years taught Via to be independent. She’s been a single mother for so long, you’d have to convince her you belong in their lives.”

“Via is very easy to love, Dean. But it will take a lot to make her love again. Her ex hurt her so bad in the past, falling in love scared her.” Cris’ eyes pinned me on my spot.

Is that what it is, Sky’s afraid to love again because she’s got hurt before?

I nodded my head as I watched Joey hug Ocean from behind. He looked at her and fixed his stance. Now he held a woman on either arm. But he did not stop there. He even kissed their heads.

I arched my brow and clenched my fists as I watched them. I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, which made me look over. It was Vince. He stood beside me and watched the same scene.

“It’s Ocean. Those two are affectionate to him. But he knows when to draw the line.”

I don’t think so. Because if I were to draw the line, he wouldn’t be able to touch a hair on Sky’s head. I heard him chuckle beside me. He must have known what’s going on in my head.

“By the way, congratulations, that’s a big rock you popped up there,” I said, smiling at him. I’m happy to see he finally found his happiness.

“Thanks, but it isn’t as big as the rock your son gave,” he said, laughing. I joined in his laughter. Indeed, my son gave Joey a bigger rock, literally.

A gentle nudge on my shoulder broke my thoughts. It started as a nudge, now I am being shaken.

I rolled over and squinted at the source of disturbance. Sky looked at me with furrowed brows, her eyes switched from me to the window. There were bullets of sweat from her forehead and she looked a tad pale. What’s going on?

“Dean, come on, put on some clothes, hurry.”

I took the clothes from her but took my time putting them on. When I had at last pulled my zip up, she went to the window and opened it. And from it came Joey.

“Morning, Boss,” she greeted, which I answered with a smile. Her eyes darted to Sky, making her face turn red. Joey was sniggering. “Let’s go to La Union. Phil said it’s his sister’s 18th birthday.”

“Yeah, we’ll be there,” I answered, making Sky look at me with surprise. Why does she look so surprised we’re going? Phil’s my friend, of course we’re invited.

“Joey, do I have to go? I do not know Boss Phil’s sister.”

“That’s fine. Then you’ll know her later. We’ll see you there, Via.” She gave Sky a peck on the cheek before climbing out of Sky’s window.

“What’s wrong, Sky? Don’t you want to go?”

“I just feel uncomfortable crashing a stranger’s party. Do you really think it’s OK for me to go?”

“Of course. Daisy is a sweet young girl. You’ll love her. Besides, you’re going with me. Don’t worry, it’s not a big party. Treat it as dinner with friends. Daisy does not like grand celebrations.”

She smiled at my words. She doesn’t like parties? Was that it? Weird, who doesn’t like parties?

I could not help but draw her closer to me, with the cute way her cheeks were blushing. It should be just a peck on the lips but this tease in arm flicked her tongue over mine. Our kiss burned with passion, making us forget the time and where we were.

I had her on all four at the center of the bed and entered her in a smooth motion from behind. She felt so tight and warm it’s driving me insane. I controlled my breathing. There’s no way I’m coming this early.

I thrust deep into her, making her moan in pleasure.

“Hush it, Sky, unless you want everyone to know I’m fucking you right now.”

My hands grabbed on her breasts, molding them. My fingers played with her nipple simultaneously, making her do those throaty sounds I loved.

“Dean…”

“Yes, baby…”

“Oh, Dean… Uhm…”

My hand slid from her breast down to the front of her sex and played with her bud.

“Oh, yes… yes… I love that.”

Sky shifted her head, and our mouths met in one hungry kiss. Our tongues danced together. My hands continued to pleasure her breast and her clit.

“I want to ride you, Dean,” she said between breaths.

Anything my lady wants, I would give. I let her straddle me and move on top of me like a cowgirl. She looked so sexy with her partly closed eyes and the way she bites on her lower lip to keep herself from screaming.

I met her every move, making her arch her back, exposing her chest for me to fondle.

“Dean, I’m almost there.” Of course I know. By the way her insides squeezed me, I know she’s almost at her limit. I continued meeting her every thrust.

“Ahh, Dean,” she finally screamed with pleasure. When I felt her twitch on top of me and I knew she orgasmed.

I flipped over our position and rained kisses on her face. I shoved myself deep and hard into her. She loved it hard and deep, and so did I. Our mouths tasted each other as our bodies moved in rhythm.

“Sky, baby, I’m coming.”

“Me too, baby. Me too.”

I quickened my pace, making Sky writhe in pleasure underneath me. Her legs wound around my hips and her hips met my every plunge.

“Sky… baby…”

“Oh, Dean… I love you.”

I collapsed on top of her, kissing her throat as I worked on, making my breathing even. When my breathing returned to normal, I propped myself on my elbows to look Sky in the eyes. My blue eyes met with her brown ones. “I love you, Sylvia.”
