Chapter 211 211
Chapter 211 211
The night bled softly through the city as Noah's car cut through the dim glow of streetlights. He shouldn't have stayed that long. He shouldn't have even agreed to sit with them.
Emma and Diana.
He could still see them in his mind, laughing, sipping their wine, their hands brushing against each other's on the table as if they shared a language only they understood. It was.. intoxicating. Too intoxicating.
Noah's fingers tightened around the steering wheel, his knuckles pale against the leather. His body was still tense, heavy, pulsing with something he didn't want to name.
Every image replayed itself, Emma's soft smile, Diana's teasing eyes, the way they both looked at him when they invited him to sit. He had told himself it was just dinner.
Just catching up. But every second felt like slow torture.
He shifted in his seat, his jaw clenching. The air in the car felt too thick, his shirt sticking to his skin. He could smell their perfume still clinging faintly to his jacket, floral and sweet and it was driving him mad. He let out a low breath through his teeth, shaking his head.
No. Don't go there.
But he was already there. His mind betrayed him, painting images too vivid and too wrong. Diana's hand reaching across the table, Emma's laugh vibrating low in her throat.
His throat was dry.
He wanted them. Both of them.
"Damn it," he muttered, slamming his hand once against the steering wheel. The sound echoed through the car, but it didn't stop the ache that had built inside him, tight and insistent.
He hated himself for it. Hated that after everything, after what happened in high school with Alexa, with Chloe, he still hadn't learned. Still drawn to things he couldn't have.
By the time he pulled into his driveway, his pulse was racing. He killed the engine, leaning his head back against the seat, breathing hard.
The silence was deafening.
He didn't know what was worse, the desire twisting inside him or the guilt that followed right behind it. The garage was dimly lit, the low hum of the engine echoing off the concrete walls as Noah parked his car. He ran a hand down his face, trying to clear his head before going inside. His body still thrummed with leftover tension from dinner, Emma's laugh, Diana's eyes, all of it circling him like a fever that refused to break.
He had just stepped out of the car when a familiar voice cut through the silence.
"Oh, yeah. I was just about to come up to see you."
Noah froze, turning toward the sound. Alexa stood a few feet away, leaning casually against her car, the soft overhead light catching the gleam of her hair. She was dressed sharply, heels, dark jeans, a fitted jacket, the kind of look that said she hadn't come here by accident.
"Alexa?" he said, brow furrowing. "What are you doing here?"
She gave a small shrug, her lips curving in that faintly familiar way, half nervous, half knowing. "I needed to talk to you," she said. "Something's... come up."
He frowned, walking a few steps closer. "What's wrong?"
She looked around the garage. Empty except for their two cars and she shook her head. "Maybe when we get to your apartment," she said softly. "It's not something we should talk about outside."
The way she said it made something twist in his chest. It wasn't fear, exactly but it wasn't comfort either.
"Alright," he said after a pause, motioning toward the elevator. "Come on."
They walked side by side toward the lift. The click of Alexa's heels echoed off the concrete floor. Neither spoke as the elevator doors slid shut, but the air between them thickened with unspoken tension.
Alexa's perfume, a deep, sweet scent he remembered from years ago filled the small space. It made his pulse quicken despite himself.
When they reached his penthouse, Noah unlocked the door and stepped aside to let her in. She entered first, her gaze sweeping across the modern space, before turning back to face him.
He shut the door quietly behind them. The city lights spilled through the window, glinting off the metal edge of his desk.
He turned to Alexa, his pulse still uneven from the drive.
"So," he said, forcing calm into his voice. "What's this about?"
Alexa hesitated, her eyes flickering over him like she was searching for something she'd lost. "I just.." she started, then trailed off. The silence hung between them, heavy, charged.
Before he could ask again, she stepped forward, too close, and pressed her lips to his.
Noah froze, his body tightening instantly. For a split second, he thought of Diana's teasing smile at dinner, of Emma's soft laugh. His breath hitched. He should stop this.
He needed to stop this.
But Alexa's kiss deepened, full of desperation and something broken, and his restraint wavered. He'd been fighting the ache since dinner, and now, it spilled through him.
His hands caught her shoulders, meaning to push her back but instead, he found himself pulling her closer.
The air thickened. The sound of their breaths filled the room, tangled and uneven. The past and present collided, old feelings, old regrets, the raw hunger of everything left unsaid.
When her hands slid up to his neck, he let out a low sound that was almost a plea.
Then…
He pulled back from the passionate French kiss, breaking their heated liplock. His heart pounded in his chest as he took in the sight of Alexa before him. Her full, pouty lips were kiss-swollen, her eyes dark with lust.
He reached for the hem of her tight, fitted jacket, pulling it off to reveal a thin, lacy bra underneath. The garment barely contained her generous breasts, the tops of her full mounds spilling out enticingly.
Noah licked his lips as he reached out to cup one soft breast in his hand, his thumb rubbing over the hard peak of her nipple through the thin lace. Alexa gasped, arching into his touch.
"Oh Noah," she breathed, "Touch me more..."
