Let's End It Here.

Let's End It Here.
Nathan stirred awake as the morning sun shone on his face, he had to block his eyes with his arm while also thinking of who had opened the window.

He sat up slowly, then looked around the room like he does every morning, but suddenly he paused, and turned to look at the bed in surprise, but all he saw was an empty bed.

He raised an eyebrow and touched the other side of the bed only to find it cold which means the person who had slept beside him had left the bed for a long time. He picked up his phone to check the time but placed it down speechless.

“How could I have slept so soundly till this late? Was I too comfortable?” he rubbed his cheeks, then stood up from the bed, picked up his robe and wrapped it around his body.

His eyes turned to the sheet again and when he remembered what had happened last night, a smirk appeared on his face. He could remember how Evans had proved stubborn and insisted that he wasn’t tired even when he was so sore, but later had to plead for mercy.

He gulped just thinking about it and his mouth became dry again but looking at the empty room, he wondered where Evans had gone to.

With the purpose of looking for him, he walked to the washroom to do his morning routine, then back to the room to dress up casually as today was the weekend and he had decided to spend the day with Evans.

Done with that, he went downstairs, but suddenly felt uncomfortable as the house was too silent and the sound or voice he had been expecting couldn’t be heard. Nathan had the feeling that he was the only one home.

“Evans…? Evans!” He called out but all that responded to him was silence. He walked to the kitchen only to find it spotless, then he went back upstairs but straight to Evans’ room.

He pushed the door open, “Evans..?” he called out but what responded to him was the calm silence of the room, and when he looked at the bedside table, he found it spotlessly cleaned which felt a bit unlike Evans whose medical books could always be found there.

He lowered his eyes and suspicion flashed in his eyes, he thought about something but also didn’t want to believe it. He walked towards the Wardrobe and with force, he opened it but….

Gone! Everything was gone!

Nathan's breath seized, his eyes turned dangerous, and his blood surged as the pressure in the room lowered.

He walked past the room to the washroom, but also found it empty with not even a toothbrush in there.

How could Nathan not understand what was going on at this moment? He knew it, he understood it clearly!

Evans had left with everything of his that was in this house.

“How dare you leave without a word, Evans? You deserved to be spanked!” he growled with gritted teeth, then brought out his phone from his pocket, and opened it.

He called Evans, but the phone rang for a while and no one picked up, he called for the second time but it was still the same, then the third and the fifth and it was only at the sixth that Evans picked up when the call was about to be hung up.

Nathan who was about to fire up snorted in rage when the call was picked up.

“Evans…”He growled the name poisonously as if, there was no doubt that if Evans was there with him, he would slice his head off his neck.

Evans paused, then responded, “Yeah..?”

Nathan who heard the calm voice on the other line felt like a dose of cold water had poured on him. He stood there with a tensed expression but when he parted his lips to say something, all that came out was nothing.

“If you don't say anything, then I’ll hang up.”

Evans’ voice came through the phone and unlike Nathan’s angry voice, he sounded so calm and relaxed like he wasn’t the one who had left him.

Nathan gritted his teeth, “You dare?!” He growled again. His fist clenched tightly and his breathing turned heavy.

“Why..? Why did you leave without a word?” He asked with difficulty.

The person on the other line paused, then a sigh was heard.

“Mr Collins, it seems I have to remind you of the contract you set up by yourself.” Evans' calm but cold voice sounded piercingly in Nathan’s ears.

Mr Collins? Did he just call him that?

Nathan gritted his teeth and realised something was wrong.

“Mr Collins?” he asked then chucked coldly but the hand in his pocket clenched tightly, “You didn’t call me that yesterday while we were doing that. You were screaming my name.” Nathan mocked but his eyes were cold as he stared at the wall.

“You don’t need to make it sound dirty. If this is all you called to tell me, then I would hang up.” Evans' response was cold unlike him which made Nathan calm down instantly.

“What were you talking about earlier? The contract? What is wrong with the contract?” He asked, but without waiting for a response, he continued, “You’re so silly! Do you think you can use my body then run away later? I wouldn’t allow it!”

Evans felt speechless, he didn’t understand how he had fallen for someone this shameless. His hand on the phone clenched tight but his eyes shone with resolution.

“I think you enjoyed it much more than I did. And as for the contract we signed, I’ll refresh your memory if you forgot because this was something that stayed in my heart.” he paused, then fixed his eyes which had gotten red on the wall in front of him as he said word by word, “This contract is only valid until Jesse is back!” He paused, then inhaled silently and closed his eyes.

“My elder brother is back and like an obedient one, I have to adhere to the contract. Stop…”He choked on his words, but tried to focus, “Don’t call me anymore. We’re done!” He announced then hung up coldly.

Nathan stood there in disbelief, he couldn’t believe he had been hung up on. The words of Evans rang in his ears, so heavy but also clear.

He touched his heart and realised something was wrong with him, he felt—Rage, reluctance and something he couldn't understand.

Suddenly he raised his hand and slammed the phone on the floor.

“You were the one who proposed we have this relationship, so only I can choose to end it, Evans! The ball isn't in your court—”

“Click!”

The sound of the door opening interrupted his thought and when he raised his head in confusion, he saw someone he wasn't expecting or in the mood to see.

“What are you doing here?!”
