Chapter 39 Chapter 39

Merri wakes up when she feels the sunlight hit her face. She slowly opened her eyes and she looked around, she realized they're inside of the SUV that Evan makes as their bed. Speaking of Evan, she slowly turned around to see his face. He was behind her.

“You're truly handsome…” she whispered when Evan's handsome face showed before her eyes.

She could not help but to reach his pointed nose, and let her fingers run to it, until it reached the man's lips.

She gasped when the man caught her hands. Then, he opened his mouth and said, “Hmmm, you are awake?” he said using a bedroom voice and slowly opened his eyes.

She bit her lower lips when their eyes met. Evan's eyes were beautiful.

“What beautiful eyes you have. I wish l could have those kinds of eyes…” those words slip out from her mouth before she knows it.

Evan's lips curved with a smile. “You can't have it but our child might have a chance.”

She blinked her eyes upon hearing it. He was talking about children? Does it mean, their relationship has a future? And this is not just temporary happiness?

“It's still early, why don't we stay in the bed for more minutes hmmmm,” Evan said and suddenly pulled her closer and imprisoned her to his arms

While her eyes widened for what he did. She closed her eyes when she inhaled his natural manly scent. She never expected this man could have an addicting scents that could make her want to stay close to him all day long.

“Evan…” she called his name when she remembered something.

“Hmmm?”

“Before we go home, could we go check roam around while riding in your bicycle?” she stated and lifted her head to see his reaction with her sudden request.

Evan lowered his head and slowly let go of her, so she could move and give them a small space in between.

“Can we?” she asks once again when the man doesn't give her an answer.

Evan glared at her for a moment then he nodded his head.

“Sure, why not. I also want to check some nearby tourist spots here before we go home, and how about we go and visit your parents' burial before we head home in the mansion?” Evan replied and then his fingers reached her hair and brushed them back to her ears.

She bit her lower lips. “If it's not a hustle for you then we can,” she replied.

“Of course not. I also want to pay respect to them, then we will schedule their transfer to a private cemetery. And don't worry about the annual payment. I will pay them as one time payment,” Evan seriously said to her and then his fingers ran to her cheeks.

“Why are you crying?” Evan softly asks.

She blinked her eyes and touched her cheeks, and found out. It was indeed wet. She glances at her husband.

“Oh, Evan. Maybe because l'm just too emotional for your kindness. Thank you so much for this,” she sincerely said and couldn't help but to reach her husband's lips.

Evan holds her cheeks and the back of her neck to deepen the kiss. She closed her eyes to savor the passionate and sweet kiss they shared.

“We better stop, l might not be able to stop myself from owning you,” Evan whispered while he was catching his breath and leaning his forehead against hers.

“You're ready to have an insatiable appetite with sex, aren't you?” she couldn't help but to say and laugh.

Evan laughed. “I don't know but, every time we were near l couldn't stop myself but wanting you. What kind of magic did you use on me? To be this obsessed with you, hmmm?”

Her eyebrows narrowed. “Does it mean you see me as a witch?”

Evan immediately shakes his head. “Of course not. You are far too beautiful to be a witch. A goddess suits you better.”

“Chessy,” she said and laughed. Evan pulled her and kissed her in the lips once again, this time it was intense.

“We should go and check some coffee and pastry to eat, so we can still see the sunrise, when we are driving,” Evan whispered to her ears when he let go of her lips.

“Right, we should,” she replied and gave him a smile.

Shortly, Merri just sees herself sitting near the lake, while Evan is next to her. They're enjoying their coffee and pastry. While watching the sunset setting in the sky, the reflections in the lake were wonderful.

“It seems we don't need to hurry to see the sunset. The view here is more than enough,” she commented after she placed the cup back to the table.

“Right. I really made the right decision in choosing this spot,” Evan said and a satisfied smile curves his lips.

“So is it, thank you so much for your effort,” she sincerely stated.

Evan glances at her while drinking his coffee. “I'm glad you like it here.”

“I don't just like it. I love it,” she replied.

Evan just smiled and nodded his head. Then they keep quiet, and enjoy the view of nature and the sounds from the birds, air and the waters.

After they're done eating and drinking. They change into cycling outfits which she loves.

“It seems you're well prepared,” she couldn't help but say.

“Of course. You know me, l'm always well prepared,” Evan replied then he smiled and offered his hand.

“Shall we?” he asks her, he's already on his bike, and she will be riding behind his back. She accepted his hand, and she climbed in the back.

“Hold tight, we're about to start,” Evan informed her, they're at the highway. She immediately hugged his waist tightly so she could secure herself not to fall.

“Here we go,” Evan said before they started moving.

“Wow!” She exclaimed when they reached in the middle and the view of the sea caught her attention.
