Chapter 42
Isabella
Kevin drove like a man possessed, his massive hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. The SUV's powerful engine roared beneath us, vibrations traveling through the seats as we sped toward The Erotic Paradise.
I should have been terrified. Normally I hate riding with reckless drivers—a lingering trauma from childhood when my uncle crashed with me in the backseat.
Strangely though, with Kevin, I felt completely safe. Fuck, he looks angry tonight. The thought flashed through my mind as I stole another glance at his profile.
Something's wrong. This realization dawned slowly as I noticed the dried blood on his knuckles and the purple bruising forming beneath his intricate tattoos. He's been in a fight. My wolf stirred awake at this thought, both concerned and—embarrassingly—aroused by his display of physical prowess.
"Did something happen?" I asked softly, unable to contain my curiosity, the words hanging in the air between us like delicate glass.
Kevin's only response was a cold sidelong glance before his attention returned to the road. His jaw clenched, a muscle visibly twitching beneath the skin. The scent of aggression briefly spiked, filling the confined space of the car with his undeniable presence.
Well, that conversation ended quickly. God, why are taciturn men so damn sexy even when they're being difficult? I bit my lip and turned to look out the window instead, trying to ignore the growing wetness between my thighs.
My thoughts drifted to the upcoming meeting, my fingers nervously smoothing down the hem of my dress. Tonight was about the contract—the formal agreement detailing the terms of our temporary mate bond.
Three powerful Alphas and me, a newly matured Omega who until recently had no idea she possessed special abilities. My stomach twisted with anxiety and a primal, pulsing excitement that throbbed all the way to my clit.
Fuck, what am I doing? I clutched my small handbag containing the notebook with all my questions and concerns listed, my fingers trembling slightly as they rubbed against the leather. This is insane. I'm actually considering bonding with three Alphas. At the same time. What kind of slut does that make me?
But even as I questioned my sanity, my body knew exactly what it wanted. Settle down, Isabella. A very hot, potentially life-changing business meeting about who gets to fuck you and how, but still—business.
Yet despite my mind doing gymnastics, I couldn't deny the raw attraction I felt toward all three of them. This wasn't just attraction; this was something carved into my DNA.
As we approached the club, the SUV slowed, taking a private entrance that bypassed the main parking lot. Kevin parked in a reserved spot next to two expensive vehicles—one I recognized as Richard's black sedan and a forest green sports car that must be Michael's.
They're already here. My heart slammed against my ribs, breathing quickening, palms sweaty with nervousness. I crossed my legs tightly, trying to ignore the throbbing between them, my wolf nearly crawling out of my skin, desperate to be near her potential mates.
Kevin exited the car without a word after cutting the engine, his movements fluid and powerful. He walked around to open my door, the unexpectedly gentlemanly gesture contrasting sharply with his rugged appearance. His scent—stronger in the night air—hit me like a physical blow.
I carefully stepped out, trying not to stumble in my heels, my silver dress glittering in the moonlight. The cool night air caressed my heated skin, making me acutely aware of how exposed I was, how the dress clung to every curve of my body. Am I dressed too provocatively? Will they think I'm desperate?
"Thank you," I said softly, offering a small smile, trying to ignore how my voice had become a breathless whisper without my permission.
He merely nodded in response, his dark eyes briefly scanning my body in a way that made my inner muscles clench. His expression remained brooding as he guided me toward the club entrance, his hand possessively at the small of my back, burning like a brand through the thin fabric of my dress.
Diana was working the front desk, and her perfectly made-up face immediately brightened when she saw Kevin. "Good evening," she purred, her eyes practically undressing him.
Kevin completely ignored her, his hand protectively at my lower back guiding me forward. The touch sent warm currents through my body through the fabric of my dress, my wolf reacting eagerly to his skin against mine, even through cloth.
Diana's attention shifted to me, her smile instantly vanishing, replaced with naked hostility. "Isabella," she said, her tone dripping with disdain. "They're waiting for you upstairs."
I nodded, oddly emboldened by Kevin's presence. "Thank you, Diana," I replied sweetly, enjoying the flash of annoyance that crossed her face.
I handed my coat to Kevin, who took it without comment. As we walked toward the elevator, I could feel Diana's angry gaze burning into my back.
She wants them for herself. The realization struck me suddenly. Diana wasn't just any club employee—she was a wolf who had set her sights on at least one if not all three powerful werewolves, only to be beaten to the punch by me, the nameless Omega from the forest territory.
The elevator silently transported us to the most exclusive area of the club—the second floor. Unlike my previous visit, we didn't turn right toward the viewing room but continued straight to the end of the corridor where a set of double doors remained firmly closed.
This is it. After tonight, everything changes. I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart. The wolf inside me paced eagerly, pushing against my consciousness, sensing the proximity of potential mates.
"Here," Kevin broke the silence as we reached the double doors. His deep voice rumbled like distant thunder.
He pushed open the double doors without knocking, revealing a spacious, private conference room. At its center was a long polished table surrounded by several comfortable chairs. The lighting was soft, casting golden shadows throughout the space. A bar occupied one wall, while another displayed framed wolf pack crests.
Richard sat at the head of the table, amber eyes lifting from his laptop to lock predatorily on me. His golden hair was perfectly styled, his black suit impeccably tailored, hugging his strong physique, emphasizing broad shoulders and a lean waist.
A knowing smile spread across his lips as our eyes met, revealing slightly elongated canines—a subtle indication that his wolf was closer to the surface than he let on.
"If you keep looking at me like that, little wolf girl," he drawled, his voice like honey poured over gravel, each syllable caressing my skin like a physical touch, "I might cancel dinner and devour you instead. Trust me, I'd start between those beautiful thighs of yours."
