10. Tyler & Zia POV
Chapter 7 - Terri's POV
As soon as I was sure no one was in the corridor, I punched my anger into the wall.
The rage I had managed to suppress leaked out. I growled from the depths of my emotions and was about to deliver another crack into the wall when I sensed someone nearby.
I hated being under Joyce's hold and, even more so, hated that I had to be tied to Zia in such a way.
I've been very nice to her, and if she had any sense, she would let me do the recording.
But Zia… she was too sensitive and would probably break down if I told her.
And now, I had to go around fulfilling Joyce’s petty demands. She was the reason why I didn’t mark Zia and told my brothers to wait on it too.
Tyler had been too eager, which surprised me. Because when she had just joined the pack with her dad, stepmom, and stepsister, he had hated her.
Despite her being so pretty and slim then, he made it quite known to everyone that he didn’t care for her and wouldn’t save her if she was drowning.
Then, she was the most beautiful in the pack.
Anyone who saw her would definitely fall in love. That’s why I’d approached her under the guise of being friends, only to find out that she was the loneliest person ever.
I honestly didn’t mind being friends if it meant I’d get to hit later. But three months later, she suddenly started looking obese.
It was so sudden and shocking that I had to go to the hospital with her, but no abnormalities were detected. Ever since then, I’ve had no choice but to stick by her side, even though I wanted nothing to do with her anymore.
She was simply not my type from then on.
So when I found out at the Mating Ceremony that she was my mate, my fiercest response was to reject her. After all, I had no plans whatsoever to settle down, much less with someone double my size.
That was… until I saw the look Cain and Tyler gave her. It was more than just the mate bond.
Cain, who had always been so innocent, had lust in his eyes.
It was why I’d stayed and hoped she’d hate one of us enough to break the mate bond—to choose me. Then, I’d have the satisfaction of breaking the bond with her.
But no. She seemed to love it. And in every minute I painstakingly spent taking care of her, she made me answer too many questions about having triple mates and whether my brothers would mark her.
Desperate bitch.
She was in love with me but couldn’t wait to jump my brothers?
Honestly, the least she could do was compensate with her body.
Zia's POV
Cain was talking to my sister.
Celine had come home with the proud news that she rejected her mate because he was an omega. But she got our mother’s support to seduce Cain because she had always had a crush on him.
And after school, they were smiling at each other in a corner.
I felt hurt, but I had no confrontation rights. He didn’t mark me yet.
“Hey, Zia.”
I turned around and ran into his arms when Terri called.
“What’s the problem?” He put his hand over the small of my back and patted me.
“I…” I knew I could count on him for anything and everything, but I still stammered. How would he feel if he knew the reason I was sad?
Jealousy.
That I was jealous of his brother talking to my sister.
That would sound ridiculous.
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right?” he asked, and I nodded.
Tyler was so kind to me that when I remembered what happened between myself and his two brothers earlier today, guilt overwhelmed me.
I immediately disengaged from the hug and started walking fast ahead.
“It’s nothing. Let’s go.” I walked up to his car and got in, nervously tapping my feet on the car floor.
Could he smell his brothers on me?
