Just A Small Fight

"Grandma, who's coming?"

Suddenly someone stood behind me and Grandma Maria who was making muffin dough. There's no mistaking it, this voice is the voice of the bastard. I froze, didn't move at all, let alone look back and see his face.

"Oh my! Why aren't you wearing clothes yet? There are guests now!" Grandma Maria immediately stopped what she was doing and approached her granddaughter.

"Who's he?"

"She's a nice girl that Grandma met at the bus stop, she came to deliver the ordered goods!"

"Ordered goods? Can't Grandma ask the servants in this house to go buy them?" he asked irritably.

"Hahaha... never mind! Quickly put on your clothes! Don't let Jenni see you like this, she'll definitely be embarrassed!"

"What? Jenni?"

"Yes, her name is Jennifer!"

Grandma, who didn't know anything, just smiled, while Jacob started to get suspicious and stepped closer to me, who was frozen in fear.

"Hey, show your face!" He said in a high and harsh tone.

"Jacob, why are you talking like that? He-"

"I know who he is!" he said. I, who had given up, could only turn my body slowly with my face lowered.

"What are you saying?" Asked Grandma who was confused.

"Tch, I thought so! Hey, what did you want to come to my grandmother's house for?" Jacob asked without further ado and immediately scolded me.

"N-Your grandmother invited me!"

"You guys know each other?" Grandma Maria asked.

"Not really! I've only ever known him, he's stupid and troublesome! He'd better leave right now!"

"Oh my God, what are you saying? Since when was my good grandson able to say such cruel words to a woman!" Grandma Maria looked shocked to see her grandson's behavior as if this had never happened before.

Seeing his grandmother's disappointed face made Jacob immediately realize that he had just made a mistake in front of his grandmother. Meanwhile, I, who didn't know what to say, could only remain silent and surrender.

"Grandma, listen to me! He is a dangerous person. I just don't want the person I love most in this world to have to deal with someone like him!" Suddenly, his voice became softer, he even touched his grandmother's shoulder. His attitude made me confused, where did the anger he just vented on me go? He really is a strange person.

"You can't say that! Jennifer is a good girl. She even offered to buy the things I needed and deliver them to this house. Which girl would do that for your old grandmother?"

"But he-"

"No! I don't want to hear that from you, Jake! If you keep saying anything bad about Jenni. Then, I'm going to call your Dad and tell him you're here!"

"No, Grandma! Don't do that!" He said panicked.

"Good! You are my favorite granddaughter who is kind and obedient. Now, put on your clothes and wait until your favorite muffin is cooked. Do you understand? Don't take your towel off in front of a beautiful young woman like Jenni, she will definitely scream! Hahaha..." Grandma Maria laughed out loud between me and Jacob's awkwardness.

Jacob shot me a sharp, murderous glare, so terrifying it made me unable to laugh. I just found out one secret, Jacob, the handsome man with a super seductive body, is just a sweet boy in his grandmother's eyes.

"Jenni, forgive your attitude, okay? I didn't know that you two already knew each other!"

"N-no! We actually-"

"Where did you meet?" Grandma asked as she continued mixing the cake.

"Um, we-" I really don't know what answer I should give. There was no way I was going to tell him that we were living together.

I felt a watching gaze, it felt so cold that it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I glanced to the side, behind the door, there was Jacob who was peeking and looking at me sarcastically. I was scared and gulped, he was really crazy. He must have thought that I would tell his grandmother that we were living together.

"I'm not that stupid! Get out of there quickly! You bastard!" I thought.

"Jenni? What's wrong?"

"Ah... no! It's nothing. Actually, we're neighbors. Yes, we happen to live in the same apartment building and our houses are next to each other, hahaha..." I laughed awkwardly like a fool who gave a stupid reason.

"Is that so? Hahaha... thank goodness that's the case. I'm relieved to hear that, it turns out it was just an ordinary commotion between neighbors, right?"

"Y-yeah, just a small fight!"

"Thank God! Jacob is actually a very good man, it's just that he is always cold to people who are not close to him. But, if you can win his heart, you will definitely get a lot of love and attention from him."

"I- is that so?" I said even though I wasn't really sure that I would get that much love from him after what I did to him, including kicking his precious 'little brother'.

"Yes, that's right! It's just that, if he has received a bad impression from someone else, he will definitely hate it very much. So, no one can force him to accept someone else, because he is also very stubborn, hahaha..." Grandma..." Maria continued to laugh, making me feel even more uneasy.

"Grandma!"

"Yes, Jenni?"

"Thank you for inviting me! Honestly, this is a little bit of relief for missing my grandmother."

"Is that so?"

"Yes!"

"Your grandmother must feel very lucky to have a beautiful and kind granddaughter like you, Jenni!"
