65: You think I will make a great Luna?
DEREK'S POV
My eyes widened with curiosity, anticipating for the best or worst clue to solve the unraveled mystery going on since I woke up today.
The atmospheric condition around changed and the people around became fewer by seconds, my hand ran it fingers through my unkept hair.
I closed my eyes tight, trying to rack my head on what had happened few days back or at least what had happened before I went to bed last night.
"Shhhhh!" I sounded in frustration, bringing my hand down together with the ending of the sound that had come from my mouth.
My eyes slightly reddish from worry and my lips curved to a side of my mouth as I placed my fist on it, slowly looking round my environment.
I went through my recent call log and even all my contacts, just to be sure I tried my possible best in finding away out of the box.
Every vibration and notification on my phone got me almost flying with happiness, relief and still, suspence.
Nothing seem right to me, my hands shook with uncertainty, fear and anxiety as my face gradually got covered with heat from my too much worries.
I've spent few hours outside my chamber already for me to feel irritated by the fact that I wasn't getting close to the hidden truth.
Something tells me that someone somewhere knows about my plight and how to get out of it,
Elena might be of help, but how?
She only seem to find her own happiness these days an might not be willing to help.
'I haven't been good to her though.....but she's my Luna, she has to obey' I thought, stylishly pacing by the side of my office window, not yet sure of what to do or say to her.
Things wouldn't have been this frustrating if I didn't wake up with a blank head, my impatient legs took me towards my room's direction.
I placed my shaky hands in my pockets and the heat of my face and suddenly gone dry as I walked swiftly to my room without saying 'hi' to anyone.
"Good afternoon Alpha Derek" some workers chorused in unism, both male and female, having brigthly printed smile on their faces which also appeared suspicious to me.
My head went down in the slightest of bow to reluctantly response to their greetings, I didn't want to have any of them noticing the unsettled look on my face.
"Elena" I suddenly mentioned, thinking of how I could get to her and how to face her too.
I took a quick turn towards her room and threw open the door to find it empty, with the four walls staring daggers at me, everything around me had suddenly grown eyes to watch me.
"Where is she, Elena....where are you by this time?" My question bounced back to me rhetorically, wasn't sure if the question was meant to be answered or definitely ignored by the empty room.
My eyes scanned the whole place and stopped on her drawals, it seems more shiny today than it has always appear to me other days.
I heard nothing as a reply, and it struck on me that I can communicate with her from my head.
"Elena, where are you?!" I screamed aggressively, throwing things around and panting shakingly.
My busy hands got into her cabinet and drawers, shaking, scattering and searching.
I wasn't sure of what my hands and body were doing but I felt it would be for a good call, the hair on my neck suddenly started growing and my nails increased slowly too.
The Wooded toy Rex had carved for her laid peacefully in the third drawer I just opened, it looks happy and also satisfied.
'Shit boy' I thought angrily, cussing Rex for taking part in the big picture that was meant to be for only Elena and I.
I grabbed the toy and held it tightly like I was hoping to strangle it, a little jolt from the inside of my body and I saw the past again.
Mom on the floor next to dad, and then Rex and I playing as kids and next the day he almost killed me in the woods.
I shook back to reality and flinged the toy towards an opposite direction and sat on the floor, my shaky body seem to be settling down gradually.
I didn't feel much heat again and my hands shook no more, my mind became static and blank, nothing more came in.
The flashes made me weak but I refused to show my pain, not even to myself, so I won't cry.....not again.
Even after seeing mom, Rex and I together in the past, one thing was sure, I didn't feel any form of guilt....not a bit.
"Elena where are you?....we need to talk, it's urgent" I uttered acidly, staring into space without blinking.
"Don't you have the idea that Alphas have?" She responded with a question which didn't seem clear to me, unless she's aiming on being a pain this afternoon.
"What do you mean?" I blurted out, looking left and right and then towards the open door.
"You can find me by my scent Derek, all Alphas know that" she mentioned calmly , her voice seems warm and I could imagine the smile on her face and I frowned.
"So find me" she added, blankly, my head spined and almost went off my neck.
Elena sat in the garden on bikini, sun bathing, her body looks more curvy than I've ever imagined.
Her skin shone like rare diamond and her hair was beautifully raised in a graceful ponytail.
"Oh, you found me.... nice job" she said, smiling at me, she looks more beautiful than I can remember.
A male worker ran towards us and went on one kneel before her with his head bowed, panting while he said his words carefully.
"Is there anything I can do for her majesty?" He asked without looking up to her, still panting slowly.
"Oh yes my dear, entertain your Luna by dancing ballet" she sweetly requested, smiling, beaconing on him to comence immediately.
He got up to his feet and started dancing to no music, he hopped, spin and turned with his toes on tip.
My presence seems to be ignored and unrecognized by the gentleman that now looks hopeless in his miserable dance.
He tripped on himself and almost fell but continued with his princess style ballet, his gard looking calf made me felt pain and embarrassment for him.
I watched in silent, a tough guard man dancing ballet in the garden on a sunny day.
My head held high and my shoulder squared while my eyes shrinked to see through the bullshit that was manifesting, the sight of what I was watching was an eyesoar to me.
I stood still, feeling helpless and more hopeless than the man-ballerina who was obviously dancing out of the whole rules in dancing ballet.
Wasn't sure of what to do, as I got my clenched palm into my pocket, and she reluctantly waved her left hand in the air, looking towards another direction from the man.
He got the message and got don on a kneel and took a slight bow before hurrying away, without saying any greetings to me....he must have suddenly forgotten who I am.
"What do you think?.... I'll make a great Luna right and a leader" Elena said beaming me a bright smile.
I remained transfixed, trying to figure out what just happened and why.
