Alia’s POV

She stood there with everyone's eyes on her, as she moved forward towards me every one standing in her path made way, like a queen, I honestly really admired her, she was a mixture of beauty and brains and let's not forget class too.

She stopped beside me and folded her arms on her test-driving Claire to say a word, while Claire on the other hand didn't have as much confidence as she had when she was talking to me.

"What worm cats got your tongue? “Pearl said.

Yes, Pearl was the one defending me, who would ever think, since she doesn't know me, or maybe this was much more than it seems.

"Pearl you are back! Am so happy to see you wow how was your vacation “Claire said cheerfully Even if it was obvious that she was faking it.

"Splendid and I can see you are still with a guy that doesn't respect or regard you, and let's not forget uses you “Pearl said with a smile showing off her perfectly white teeth.

"I.....I don't get you “Claire said in annoyance but then she smiled a fake smile to cover it up.

"C'mon Al let's get out if here we don't want to become worms now do, we? “Pearl said and left, even Claire made way for her.

I thought, I held Tracy's hands and we left, following Pearl, when I walked pass Eric, I heard him hiss, I didn't even dare look at him.

We all had history together including my new found idol Pearl, she took the seat next to mine and I was so nervous, why she defended me in the hallway was something I didn't understand, I knew I had to ask her about it, but how? She was totally above my level.

"Stop looking at her “Tracy whispered to me.

I brushed a little, didn't know it was that obvious, I admired Everything about Pearl, her look, her dressing, the way she talked and responded and even contribute to the lectures made my admiration for her double.

"Ok guys that would be all for today I would like your projects submitted on my desk first thing Monday morning okay “the teacher said and left the class.

"Alia I don't think you should be staring at me all day" Pearl said to me when the teacher left.

I blushed a little “am sorry I just admire you a lot" I said.

"Pearl Xavier Daniel “she said and brought her hands for a handshake.

I shook her hands “Lia Trey" I said with a smile.

"I know already the, and you are beautiful, I’m Sorry for what my brother did yesterday the" she said with a smile that kind of warmed my heart.

"Oh no problem but he saved me today thoric said and blushed at the memory.

"Yes, and he has been complaining about you at home too and that why I am inviting you for my birthday party this weekend “she said cheerfully.

"Wow okay, where? “I asked.

"Our house, like our family house, don't worry I would text you the address, so what's your next class? “she asked.

"Chemistry you?"

"Same I think we are majoring in the same thing, so come on, let's go “she said and stood up.

I turned to Tracy who has been starring at us with her mouth half opened, she had a surprise look on her face and I was about to tell her to close it when I heard Zions’s voice.

"Pearl why would you talk to my girl like that? “he said but not angrily but with an unusual calmness that surprised me.

"That's a laugh, let me help you rephrase, your human toy “Pearl said and walked out of the class.

He turned to me and looked at me and the calmness I saw before vanished, it went back to the only way he had very looked at me since I met him, angrily, I didn't dare to look him in the eyes, so I just packed my books and left the class too, but I felt a little ache in my heart that I ignored.

"So? Would you be going for Pearls party? “Tracy asked me on our way to our lockers.

"If you go I would “I said, I wasn't too excited to go to the party because I knew Zion and Claire would be there and every other person that dislikes me, and I was also scared that I might not even fit in, but if I had Tracy with me, I guess it would be less awkward for me.

"Why won't I? Everyone is invited! “Tracy said with excitement.

"I think I would ask my Mum if it was okay with her thoric said not wanting to show my fear.

"C'mon Pearl is waiting for you, it would really be nice to have her in our clique you know, win her over baby “Trace said and left me to her next class.

Chemistry class was the most peaceful class I've ever attended since I arrived in this school, peaceful meant, no Zion, no Claire, no Derrick, no haters, and no drama, that was definitely peaceful.

Pearl didn't stop amazing me those wasn't just classy she was also surprisingly intelligent, like geek intelligent, she helps me throughout the class with things I didn't understand, chemistry class officially became my favorite class.

"That would be all for today please read your books people don't let Pearl bit you forever, Alia I would like to see you in my officers Edna said, she was our chemistry teacher and also our principal.

"Yes ma’am “I said, I was a bit nervous, I hated being called to the principal's office, it only meant trouble to me.

Pearl noticed I was nervous, so she held my hands like that was supposed to calm my nerves, I looked at her and gave her a small smile which she returned with a smile of her own.

I picked up my bag and headed to the principal's office, with my heart beating so fast, I started thinking of any possibly reasons to be called into the principal's office and many things came to mind that made me wish the earth should open up and swallow me. When I arrived at the door of the principal's office my palms where all sweaty and shaking, I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Come in “I heard her voice from inside.

Nervously I entered into her office, she was sitting in all her glory on the big chair, everything about her screamed, I am a principal you shouldn't mess with, which made my heart sink more into my chest.

"Sit “she said point at the chair opposite hero’s, I nodded and took it.

"Miss Alia Trey, I am so disappointed in you, you've been in this school for the past three days and you've already started making troubles here and there, you and your cousin has already been in many fights already, and you haven't bother to come greet your aunt, I am so disappointed Alia" she said.

I was confused I didn't understand one bit of what she was saying Cousin? Aunt? Who? And how? I didn't have any cousins in this school or any aunt either then who was she talking about.

But just as I was about to ask her that question the answers came to mind and I mentally face palmed myself

"Wow good job Alia you forgot she was your cousin, and you've already declared war between the both of you"

And that saying speaking about the devil was true cause just as I was about to apologize to my principal my dearly beloved cousin walked in.

"Hey alia, with the look on your face I believe you've remembered Right?"

Oh Lord how could I forget that was my cousin.
