Chapter 462 Outsider

Chapter 462 Outsider

The next day, I decided to treat myself and sleep in.

Lila and Maeve stuck around, as usual.

The other girls in the cave were also keeping busy.

They took the supplies we had gathered, like some old clothes, and sewed them together to make three makeshift beds.

Even though the bedding was worn out, it was surprisingly comfy.

I was snuggled up in the best of the three layers of bedding.

Lila and Maeve were itching to get to work, but I wasn't letting them go just yet.

The once prim and proper schoolgirls had turned into women at my beck and call. I could have my way with them whenever I pleased, and no one would bat an eye.

"Scavenging for stuff," Janna said after breakfast, giving my butt a playful pat before heading out with a group of other girls.

They were off to explore nearby caves, hoping to find some useful materials, like maybe sanitary pads from the first aid kits.

Meanwhile, the rest of the girls in the cave were busy sewing the two packs of sanitary pads we already had.

Life on the deserted island had turned these inexperienced girls into capable individuals, a real transformation.

They were impressively skilled as they worked on the sewing tasks.

Watching them, it felt like I had gone back in time. I was the boss, and they were my crew.

I lazed around on the bedding until about ten in the morning before finally letting go of Lila and Maeve.

I went over to the campfire and fished out a bear paw from the pot.

A bear paw that would be worth a fortune back in the real world. I dug in and started munching on it.

"Hmm, tastes a bit weird," I muttered in disappointment, missing Ella's top-notch cooking skills compared to Ciara and the others.

As I ate, there was some commotion outside the cave.

It seemed like something was going down at the beach.

At first, I didn't pay much mind to it.

But Clio and the gang from the cave went to check it out and soon came back.

"Quick, Michael, folks from other islands are approaching," Clio's urgent tone caught me off guard.

"Other islands' people?" I dropped the bear paw and hurried outside.

Shirtless, barefoot, just in shorts, I strolled casually to the beach not far from the cave.

And there they were, three much larger rafts than ours, docked on our side of the beach.

On the beach, seven or eight women in skimpy outfits stood surrounded by a crowd, holding supplies.

I joined the gathering, curious about how folks on other islands in the area were faring.

"They've got sugar, actual sugar," deep brown cane sugar was displayed in bamboo baskets.

The women motioned for our beach crew to taste it.

"We're here to trade supplies, see if you've got anything worth swapping for this cane sugar," one of the women leading the group explained.

She also pointed to a small island across from ours.

"We are from there. There are a lot of available resources on several islands over there. Some of the islands have underground fire, and with a large amount of iron ore, we have made a lot of iron tools. Some islands have orchards, and there is an endless supply of various fruits."

When women spoke, there was a strong and haughty demeanor on their faces. It seemed that their lives were much more leisurely and comfortable than ours.

"I just don't know what resources on this island of yours can be exchanged with us."

As soon as the leading woman finished speaking, many women on the island turned their eyes to me.

It seemed that I'm the only man who could come up with good resources.

Among these newly arrived women, the leading one also turned her eyes towards me.

This woman was quite tall and seems to be a model.

Like many people on our beach, she was also barefoot.

In fact, in the beach life, shoes were really not necessary. If you wore shoes, it wouldn't be long before there was sand inside them.

"Did you have good supplies?" The tall and beautiful woman smiled at me.

I came to the two baskets of caramel with Clio. I squatted down, dipped a little and ate it. It tasted sweet and seemed quite good.

I looked at the tall woman and also glanced at the small island on the opposite sea surface.

There were actually three small islands. They seemed to be the three that were the farthest from the shipwrecked cruise ship among this group of small islands.

"Which small island were you from?" I asked loudly.

"We're from there, we call it Caramel Island because it's loaded with sugarcane," the tall woman boasted, her arrogance puzzling me.

She scanned the women on our beach.

"Any takers for a trip to that island? Let me know, I can take you there," her offer stirred up the crowd.

Many women seemed interested, but none committed outright.

I sampled the caramel a few more times, finding it quite tasty.

The variety of edible resources on our beach was growing.

People were getting better at sourcing food.

While food was becoming less of a concern, relying solely on seafood wasn't ideal.

I often saw girls on the beach dealing with stomach problems.

Having more fruits or sugarcane-like foods would greatly improve our quality of life and reduce stomach issues.

"What are you looking for?" I inquired, eyeing the tall woman.

"Do you have women?" she smirked.

Her question caught me off guard.

"What? Do you have a shortage of women on your island and need more?" I quipped.

I knew there were fewer men and more women from the shipwreck.

But I assumed there were some men on the other islands.

"No," the tall woman chuckled.

"Our living conditions on the few islands are great, so any women willing to come over, we can offer them top-notch conditions," she explained, glancing at a few other attractive women with her.

Her words left me puzzled.

I wasn't sure why they needed a large number of women to come over to their island.

"Besides women, what else are you trading?" I was eager to get my hands on more of that caramel.

"What do you have to offer?" the tall woman countered.
