Nash pov

“Morning” Keiran greeted back. Zain just nodded his head. “What’s wrong with him” I asked Keiran. “Well, he is all sad because we are missing the kid's birthday” he replied. I just nodded my head because I knew we all felt that way. When everyone was ready, we started with our gym routine. We all started on the treadmills. About an hour and a half later one of our warriors came running into the gym room. We all stopped what we were doing and looked at him.

“What’s wrong,” Zain asked them. “Uhm, there are some people here and they asked to meet with Alpha Nash, Alpha Gabriel, Luna Aurora, Beta Zain, Delta Keiran, Kasey, Dr. Andrew, Ria, Granny Claire, and Grandpa Ben,” he said. We all look at each other confused. “Okay, we will be right there,” I said. He then nodded his head and went back out. We all looked at each other, grabbed our water bottles and put on our shirts before we went to the living room to meet the others. I mind-linked the others and asked them to meet us in the living room.

When we got there everyone else was already there. “Okay, what is going on” they asked. “Someone is here to see us” I replied and then walked to open the front door to see who is here to see us. When I opened the door all I heard was “Daddy” and then there was a little body that ran into my legs. "Careful" someone yelled. I looked down and saw that Maxi was hugging my legs. I was shocked, what were they doing here? I picked him up and hugged him.

“Hey baby boy,” I said to him. “Hey Daddy,” he said back. “Happy birthday baby boy,” I said to him. “Thanks, Daddy” he replied. Just as I was about to ask where his Dillion and Sage were, I heard something I never wanted to hear again. A scream. A heartbreaking scream that I am sure was Sage. I quickly gave Maxi to Kasey and ran to where I heard the scream come from. I knew most of my friends and family would follow me to their car. When I got there, I saw that Dillion was holding a crying Sage, who was shaking as she was crying and in front of them stood Martha an Alpha wolf.

Dillion looked so mad, and I saw Martha screaming at Dillion. When we got near, I heard what she was saying. “Give me that child now, I have every right to hold her, and she is crying like that because you grabbed her away from me, she doesn’t like you that is why she is screaming and she will calm down when she is with me, you are hurting her so give her to me now” Martha yelled at my mate. That was the last straw. I went over there and stood between my mate with my child and Martha.

Before I could speak my father spoke. “What is going on here” he asked her in a demanding tone. “I just wanted to say hello to this child, the child of our future Alpha and when I went to pick her up he grabbed her and that is when she started to cry and when she was in his arms she started to scream because he took her away from me and now he doesn’t want to give her to me so that I can calm her down, then he thought he had the right to scream at me because I touched her,” she said to my father.

I ignored her and went to help Dillion calm down Sage. I walked towards Dillion. My heart broke when I saw how tight Sage was holding on to Dillion. “Hey baby girl,” I said softly so that I didn’t scare her. She then slowly turned her head to look at me and when she saw me, she made grabby hands at me and started to cry loudly again. I quickly took her, and she started to calm down immediately. “See she doesn’t want to be with him,” Martha said. That was it.

“Look here, he has every right to yell at you or to hold her because he is her mother, and he is also my mate,” I said to her. “And you tried to grab her out of my hands after I told you that you can’t carry her because she is afraid of other people and Alpha” Dillion said to her. I was shocked to hear that Dillion already told her she didn't like other people touching her. But it made me so much angrier and I could tell it also made my father angry. “You of all people should also know that omegas don’t easily go to Alpha that they are not familiar with so why grab her, because she is Nash's daughter, and because you didn’t want to believe that Dillion was his mate,” my father said to her, and the look on her face confirmed everything.

“But” she started to say. “No, you had no right to try and take her from her own mother, it is your fault for trying to take an omega after everyone knows you don’t take or touch an omega that they don’t know or don’t feel comfortable around,” my mother said to her. “Now go and stay away from grandchildren,” she said to her. She walked away after that. “I can’t believe her” Zain said. “Yeah, she thought that she had the right to pick Sage up because she didn’t like Dillion” Ria said.

“Wow I thought Nash would hurt her; I would’ve lost my temper a long time ago,” Andrew said. “Yeah, but he had Sage to think about, if it was Maxi, he would have lost it because Maxi would’ve been able to handle it, but Sage wouldn't be able to handle his full-out alpha, not yet,” my father said. Kasey then came walking towards us with a bouncing Maxi in her hands. “Mommy” Maxi screamed and almost jumped out of her hands. Dillion had to act fast to catch him or he would have fallen on the ground and got really hurt. Good thing Dillion is one of the fastest wolves in the pack.“Woah there, baby boy” he said to Maxi. Maxi just giggled at him.

“You have to be careful, or you will get really hurt and then who will take care of Sage” he said to him. “Me” Maxi answered. “Then you have to be careful,” he said. Maxi then nodded his head at Dillion. “Okay let’s go inside,” my father said. We all nodded our heads. “Okay baby boy, how about you go say hi to your grandmother and grandfather, and Granny Claire and Grandpa Ben so that I can get your bags out,” Dillion said to Maxi, who he placed on the ground. Maxi then ran to Granny Claire and Grandpa Ben, who stood next to my mom and dad.
