Chapter 73 Epilogue
Chapter 73 Epilogue
One and a half Year Later
Ivy’s POV
The mansion is quiet… too quiet.
And that usually means two things: either something’s broken, or my husband and our son are up to no good.
Spoiler alert: it’s both.
I round the corner into the sunken living room—and there they are. My entire world. Chaos and charm wrapped in two very dangerous packages.
Alexander’s lying on his back on the massive velvet rug in nothing but gray sweats and smug satisfaction, while our one-year-old son climbs his chest like it’s a jungle gym. He’s got Alexander’s dark hair and my eyes, with this smirk that’s definitely not innocent. His tiny hand tugs at his father’s chain, and the other is holding… oh my God.
“Is that—” I gasp. “Did he break your Rolex?!”
Alexander lifts his head like he’s not even the slightest bit concerned. “Technically, he dismantled it. That’s innovation.”
“Alexander!”
He shrugs. “He’s got good taste.”
“Our son is chewing on a watch that costs more than my entire degree!”
“He’s a Wolfe, sweetheart. He eats diamonds for breakfast.”
I slap a hand over my face, trying not to laugh. But fuck, the image of my two men—shirtless Daddy and wild baby—is too much.
“You’re a bad influence,” I mutter, plucking the watch out of our son’s mouth and replacing it with his rubber lion teether.
“He’s a genius,” Alexander replies, pride dripping from every word. “Ten months in and already knows how to strip a luxury timepiece.”
I roll my eyes, but my chest aches with so much love I could burst.
My husband looks at me over our son’s head and says, “He’s gonna take over the empire one day, you know.”
I walk over and lower myself beside them, brushing a kiss to my baby’s curls. “Let’s hope he doesn’t start early and overthrow you by naptime.”
Alexander grins. “He can try. I’ll still win. He may have your stubbornness, but he’s got my obsession.”
I narrow my eyes at him. “You’re obsessed?”
“You and him?” His voice drops to a rumble. “I’m fucking ruined.”
Alexander’s POV
They say power makes a man untouchable. That if you own enough, rule enough, kill enough—you’ll never need anything.
Liars.
I didn’t know what real power was until I held my son in one arm and Ivy in the other.
Now? Now I’d rip the world in half for them.
She looks so goddamn beautiful like this—hair a mess, wearing my old t-shirt, cheeks flushed from chasing our boy around. And that look in her eyes? That glow?
That’s mine.
All of it.
“Come here, Baby Girl,” I whisper.
She shifts closer, and our son curls up between us, his little fingers curling around mine as he falls asleep. Ivy watches him like he hung the stars in her sky.
“You think he knows?” she whispers.
“Knows what?”
“That he’s loved like this?”
I kiss the top of her head. “He’ll never doubt it. Not with us.”
She leans into me, and in the quiet of that moment, with my son sleeping in my arms and my woman breathing softly against my chest, I know:
This is it.
My legacy. My empire. My heaven.
All wrapped in soft skin, wild eyes, and one hell of a set of lungs.
Ivy’s POV
“I want another,” I whisper.
Alexander turns to look at me, eyes blazing.
“Another what?”
“Baby.”
His nostrils flare.
“You trying to kill me?”
“Maybe.”
He growls low in his throat. “We just finished rebuilding the damn headboard, woman.”
I grin. “So? I’ll buy a stronger one.”
He narrows his eyes. “One more.”
“Two.”
He groans. “You’re gonna fuckin’ destroy me.”
I brush my lips against his. “You love it.”
“You’re goddamn right I do.”
The End.
Thank you so much for reading to the end.
