121- Like a cockroach

Something's wrong.
I can feel it in my bones.
Maverick tried to stop me, but I had my father and his influence on my side, it wasn't difficult to get him to get me out of jail. I know better than anyone how much my father cares about maintaining a favorable image in society. He can put up with a lot of the things I do, but leaving me in jail would cause serious problems for the family business. Now I know that Joshua Hill's immaculate image is much more important than me. After all, he had me committed because of the scandals I caused before.
I hate my father, but he's my best bet right now.
The man who owed me no longer owes me anything. He shot Morgan, but the bitch didn't die, which only made me angry.
That damn woman has been getting in my way since she came into my life.
Security around me loosened a lot in the first few days I was under house arrest. Police officers would walk around my house, watching my every move like hawks. I had to act calm and pretend I hadn't done anything. After a month, the police realized I was behaving myself and that there were no signs of the madness Maverick had reported. Two months later, the police were out of my sight. They still patrol the house, but they no longer follow me everywhere, except when I go out. This has made my life easier, as I can use the employees' cell phones to call Maverick. I also bribed a maid to do things for me. It wasn't difficult; a good sum of money solves many things.
In fact, I was waiting for this maid to arrive at that moment. I told her to find out if that cow Morgan is close to death. Unfortunately, I can't go near the hospital, and I can't hire anyone to end her life. If she dies suspiciously, I'll be the first one the police will point to, so I've been waiting patiently for time to do its work and for her to die.
When the bedroom door opened and Lou entered, I got up eagerly and approached her.
—Well?— I asked anxiously and excitedly.
Lou had an anxious expression on her face, as if she wasn't sure what to say.
—She woke up.— Lou said in a serious tone.
The smile immediately faded from my face and I felt a weight on my chest.
How did she wake up? I suffered so much, sacrificed my most valuable cards so that she would die, and yet she insists on continuing to live and disrupting my life?
Damn her, that stubborn bitch.
I shouted angrily and grabbed a vase from the table next to me and threw it violently against the wall. Shards flew everywhere. Lou screamed and ran away, leaving me alone. My vision shook with hot, uncontrollable rage. I destroyed everything around me, trying to dispel the overwhelming urge to go to the hospital and kill that bitch with my own hands. What's wrong with her that she won't die? What did I do wrong?
Jason needs to finish the job, he needs to kill that woman, he assured me she would be dead, and months later she's still alive and now she's awake. He owes me that, he needs to finish what he started, I don't care how, he needs to kill that woman.
I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote a short note demanding that he resolve this situation and get rid of this woman who is worse than a cockroach, or he will regret it bitterly.
I rushed out looking for Lou and bumped into my brother. He looked at me with the same coldness as our father, which irritated me deeply, but I was in a hurry.
—Get out of my way.— I muttered as I passed him.
—You must be upset that you didn't get what you wanted.— he said.
Caleb has been irritating me more than usual these days. Just the sight of him upsets me. That cold, superior look, as if I were inferior to him, is getting to me and irritating me deeply.
—Don't meddle in my affairs, you don't know anything.— I hissed.
Caleb laughed. —That's where you're wrong, little sister. You're the only one here who doesn't know anything. If you did, you wouldn't act so powerful.
What the hell does he mean by that?
—Do you know something I don't?— I asked, my eyes narrowed in suspicion.
—I know many things, but I think it's better not to tell you, it could destroy your little golden world.— he shrugged.
—Don't treat me like a child.— I said impatiently.
Caleb's smile disappeared and anger took its place on his face. Suddenly he grabbed me by the shoulders and stared at me. —You act exactly like a child. My grandfather spoiled you too much. Because of his actions, you think money can buy everything and protect you from everything. You often get involved in minor scandals, you despise everything and everyone, as if you were invincible. You act like you're superior when you're nothing more than a parasite sucking money and influence from my father.— He let go of me abruptly.
—You act like I'm not part of the family.— I shouted.
—Bingo!
I stood frozen in confusion as I watched Caleb walk away.
No.
The insinuation that hung in the air, the words Caleb didn't say, that's not real, he hates me and wants to hurt me.
That lie won't affect me, he just wants to distract me from what really matters.
I'll take care of that bitch, then my bastard brother.
