Chapter 92 Chapter 92

Chapter 92 Chapter 92

I stood up but didn't move; he was trying to bait me, but I wasn't going to budge.

KAI: Keep talking.

I walked out to their screaming and headed home. After a shower, I took a stiff drink. I wanted to call her, but she would be asleep.
Her one-week deadline was coming up. I haven't called her; all she did was send a few messages, saying she would see me soon. Today was the day of the work work; I was sitting in my office. There was no update on fucking Garrison; it was like she disappeared.

My officer's door opened, and she walked in. Jax closed the door behind her. I stood up so fast; she was wearing a jean and a white button-down shirt. I grabbed her into me and kissed her.
“Why didn't you tell me you were coming?”

“Surprise. I came around noon. My father is in my apartment,” she said, looking at me. She pulled away from me and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked out.
“What are we doing, Rhyland?” She asked.
I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her.

“We are married, and you are mine,” I said, squeezing her waist.
“Okay then, let’s do this. You’re having dinner with me and my father tonight at my apartment,” she said before walking out. I guess I would be meeting Aurthur Jensen sooner than I planned.

That afternoon when I got home, she texted, saying dinner at eight. After a shower and workout, I got dressed and headed down. When I knocked on the door, she opened it wearing a sundress. The cut of the dress had her breasts looking like they were about to spill out. Fuck. I wanted to grab her, but I restrained myself. She smirked at me.

“Come in, he’s in the living room; you too can chat while I continue making dinner,” she said.
“Yea sure,” I said, walking in. I walked into the living room, and he stood up when he saw me.
“Mr. Jensen,” I said, taking his hand. He shook my hand with a firm grip.
“Mr. Rhyland, hello. Please have a seat.” He said,

I took a seat and really looked at him. He looked like he’d been dragged through a mile of gravel. He had to be pushing fifty, maybe a bit more, with hair that had gone from salt-and-pepper to mostly just salt. But it was his eyes that really got me; they weren't just old, they were heavy. He had these deep lines etched around them, the kind you only get from years of staring at things you wish you could unsee. He looked weary, like his soul was just plain exhausted from carrying whatever baggage he’d brought into the room. He didn't look dangerous; he just looked like a man who’d been fighting a losing battle with the clock for a long, long time.

“Mr. Rhyland…”
“Zaiel is fine, Mr. Jensen,” I said; he looked nervous.
“Well, Zaiel… The thing is…” he started but stopped.

“I know what happened; I know what you did. I know what she went through. We don't need to talk about the past; any man that has a daughter would do the same as you. Tessa is my wife; we are legally married. You can stay with us or stay here; this is her apartment. You don't need to worry about her anymore; that is my job. You just need to think about yourself.”

“Thank you. I’ll stay and keep low; I wouldn't want my past to bother your family,” he said.
“I don't care. Neither will my parents. You can meet them when you’re ready. They already know and don't care.”
“Dinner is ready,” I heard her say.

“Let’s eat; she gets annoyed when she’s hungry,” I said, standing up.
During dinner he asked about me, my family, and our business. When Tessa told him I was the CEO of Rhyland Global, he began choking; he became quiet. After dinner she left us alone. We were on the balcony.
“Mr. Rhyland… Tessa is a normal girl….”

“No, she’s not normal; she is strong, stronger than most women. I love Tessa and would do anything for her. Should I show you how much I love Tessa, Mr. Jensen?” I asked, looking at him.
“I understand,” he replied.
“No, you don’t. Why don’t we go somewhere? I have something to show you.”

I walked in and found her in the kitchen. I pulled her into me.
“I’m taking your dad somewhere; it’s the don’t ask thing,” I said, kissing her.
“Okay, and hurry back,” she said, leaning in closer. “I need you tonight,” she whispered. I took her mouth, kissing her deep, and she groaned.
“Quiet, I’ll be back later,” I whispered.

When I turned around, Arthur was standing there looking at us.
“Let’s go, Mr. Jensen.”
On the way down I called Jax and told him to get the car; we’re heading there. On the ride he was quiet; he was probably thinking I was taking him to kill him or some shit. When we got to the warehouse. I stopped.

“Jax, we’ll go alone.”
“Yes, boss,” he replied, stepping back. I opened the door and walked in; Arthur followed me in.
“What on earth?” he asked, looking at me.

“You probably won’t recognize them. This is how far I can go. This is Mark; I already killed Alex.”
He looked at me immediately. “You…” he said but stopped.

“Mark is his older brother; he went and changed his face twice. Once to look identical to Alex so they could take turns raping her. So I killed him. Then he changed his face again to stalk her. That's his son beside him, whom he recruited to hurt her. They won’t ever step foot out of her; they’ll only leave when they’re dead.”
He walked over to the cell Mark was in and stood looking at him.

“You, your brother, and your mother ruined my daughter. This is Karma. I don’t want your blood on my hands, but my son-in-law does, and I’ll let him. “Zaiel, do whatever you want,” he said.

Tessa

I was having a glass of wine when the door opened and my father walked in; he looked more tired. He came and sat beside me.
“Zaiel went to clean up; he’ll be here later,” he said, patting my hand.
“He is quite overwhelming, his family…” he said but stopped.

“Dad… I ran from Zaiel; that crazy man followed me halfway across the world and brought me back and gave me this apartment. He’ll give me anything and anything I want. Before, he was so dominating, but now, he does whatever I ask, and he lets me do what I want. He loves me and takes care of me. We signed our marriage certificate with his parents present.”

“That’s all I want. I’m okay here; why don't you head up and spend some time with him? I’ll get comfortable in this living room and watch some TV.” He said, pushing me off the couch.
