Chapter 102 Chapter 102
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she yelled but they had already walked past her and grabbed the suitcases.
They began emptying out all the contents.
“My Jewellery” Mom said Michelle handed the velvet box to my mother.
“Not only are you and liar but you’re also a thief” Dad said and she didn't even have the decency to even look even a bit ashamed.
“Get out and never step a foot in there again” dad said. She hurriedly stuffed her belongings into the suitcase and walked out.
“That girl has some serious issues” Kevin said.
After dinner, we were about to leave when Michelle, Shea and the others grabbed her. I let them talk before i grabbed her pushing her towards the car. Damn thieves, now they were after my woman.
When we got back to the apartment, she went to shower. She had work in the morning, so did i. I texted Daliah for the information for the house. She sent it two minutes after. I looked at the pictures, the house was perfect.
I was on the balcony having a drink when she came out, she was wearing one of my shirts. I pulled her into me and held her close.
“It’s late you have work in the morning, why don't you go get some rest.”
“I’m worried about Avani, if she can do this then what else can she do?” she asked.
“Don’t worry, ill have someone watch her closely"
She gave me a kiss and headed off, “Don’t stay up late” she said. After she was gone, i headed to my office and made some calls. Garrison was still missing, They couldn't find her which meant she was hiding and would likely appear soon, I had Joe put a tail on Avani, she was currently at at hotel not far from Athena tower room 203. She hasn’t called anyone.
After a shower i got into bed with her, she was already out, deep asleep. I was between wake and sleep when i heard groaning. My eyes opened immediately. When I turned to my right she was sitting up, holding her stomach.
“Tessa?, what is it?are you in pain.”
I jumped off the bed and flicked the lights on, when i pulled the cover back there was blood on the bed. Shit. I grabbed a shirt and picked her up and walked out.
“CARLO, JAX. Get the car, hospital now.”
Rob rushed in and opened the door, on the way down she was still clutching her stomach and groaning. The drive to the hospital felt like it would take forever. When we got there i walked into the emergency room with her, thankfully it was empty. One of the nurses rushed over to us.
“She’s in pain and bleeding”
“Bring her this way.” she said leading us over to one of the bed. I put her to lay down.
“Mr. Rhyland please step out while we take care of her.” she said and i had no choice but to wait outside. I was in the waiting room, i grabbed my phone but forgot i didnt bring it. The doors opened and my entire family walked in.
“Zaiel, what happened with Tessa. Carlo called your father and Rob brought Arthur" Mom asked. Just then the same nurse walked out.
“Mr. Rhyland, your wife is being treated, she had a miscarriage. I’ll inform you when she is in her room.” She said then walked away.
“She was pregnant?" Mom asked hitting my shoulder. “You idiot why didn't you say she was pregnant?" mom asked as she kept hitting me.
“Mom, i didnt know, she has birth control” i said moving away.
“These things happen” my aunt said pulling my mother away from me.
When the hell did she get pregnant and what the hell happened to her birth control. Didn't she notice?. After and hour i snet everyone home, it was two in the morning. I told them they could come back at six. An hour after they left the nurse said she was in her room. When i walked in she was awake and sitting up. I sat on the bed beside her.
“I fucked up” she said quietly. I took her hand in mine.
“You scared the shit out of me. Didn't you notice?”
She let out a sigh, “No, I didn't. Sorry” She said quietly.
“It’s fine”
“No, I..i mean… sorry but… I don’t think i’m fit to be a mother” she said quietly.
“Then that’s fine too, I’ll have you all to myself.”
Tessa
I looked at him, did he really mean that or was he just saying that to placate me.
“Kai i mean it.”
“I know you do and I said i’m fine with it” he said.
“Stop taking and get some rest,” he said.
“You have work in a few hours, just go home and let Jax stand guard outside”
The door pushed open and Shea and Michelle walked in.
“Leave my wife alone” Zaiel said and they made a face at him, as they came over to me.
“Go home, we’ll stay with her. You have work in a few hours beside she'll probably be discharged soon” Shea said.
“Go on, They’ll keep me company” i said smiling at him. He gave me a kiss then left.
After he left and we were alone they both looked at me.
“Why didn't you say something?” Michelle asked
“Honestly i didnt even know, beside i miss my periods sometimes because of my Birth control so i didn’t think anything of it.”
“Thats fine, Umm, aunt Alina is going full throttle with wedding plans, she’s already dragged my mother into it.” Shea said and i rolled my eyes.
Of course she was going all out. They stayed with me chatting until the sun came up. Around seven the doctor walked in, and a few minutes later Zaiel walked in.
“Ahh, Mr. Rhyland we were just about to check up on Mrs. Rhyland. She is okay,and will be discharged.” The doctor said.
“Thank you.” he said.
After the doctors checked everything and cleared me when left. He took me back to to his parents place, kissed me and left for work. Alina, Rosetta , Shea they all had to coo over me, they left me in one of the guest room. I tried to tell them i was fine but they refused to believe me nd told me to stay in bed. I was bored out of my mind but couldn't leave the room, Alina threatened me saying i could only leave the bed tomorrow.
Shea brought lunch for me at twelve and took a nap. When i woke up Kai was already home, he was sitting on the bed next to me.
“You’re awake,” he said as he caressed my face. “How do you feel?” he asked.
I sat up and looked at him. “I’m fine, Your mom really threatened me to stay in bed and wouldn't let me out.” I said with a sigh. He chuckled.
