Hundred and twelve
Hundred and twelve
When Killian got the confirmation mail for the interview, he had half a heart to decline it, mail back with an apology and explain that he was no longer interested in applying for the position, it was the only logical thing to do in his situation, especially since Kaitana is convinced he's getting too attached to Lucy Rose, more than necessary, which is very dangerous for him , the actually word she used was "love" but Killian is still in denial about the possibility of that, there's no way he could be in love with her, that part of him died a horrible death a long time ago and he has since resigned to fate, that he would never be able to experience the bliss and happiness that loves with loving a woman, the way he had loved claire, now he hardly even remember what it feels like, all he knows is the hallow pain and the emptiness that fills every part of him. Yes! He finds Lucy Rose both intriguing and exciting, she's definitely one of a kind and she beats the stereotype of everything he had thought she would be, her cluelessness and innocence appeals to him but it gives him the strong urge to always protect and look after her, he loves to see her smile, to see her happy and carefree which is a luxury she hardly indulge in, her life looks simple from the outside, but she battles just as many demons as he does, it makes him sympathetic towards her, he hates those dark circles around her eyes and the tightness of her lips that indicate stress and unhappiness, and how would do just about anything to wake them away, but surely, that doesn't mean he loved her? Or does it?. However, the decision to take a drop out of her life for good became paused when Stephen came in with an odd and unbelievable sort of news, one he never thought or suspected could be possible.
'... Lucy Rose is not Alvaro's blood daughter, she's Dante's' he broke the news without even waiting to take his seat and settle in. It had taken so much for him to painstakingly extract that very information from his damned cousin Jamie, the sellout, and though he finds more reason to hate the disloyal man, more and more, he can't deny the fact that he has so much information that could bring Alvaro down for good, it's probably the only reason he hasn't put bullets his skull for being a douch who abandoned his mother and his entire town in the time of need, for the promise of wealth. 'Turns out our home guy's wife was screwing his best friend in the last year of their marriage, apparently they fell in love with each other, constantly meeting up in secret and what not , she got herself pregnant and tried to pin it on her husband so he doesn't suspect, too bad for her, be already knew about their rendezvous her pretended not to so he could catch them in the act, he made them part ways for good and got Dante to sign away the right of the child to him, a real sick thing to do if you as me' Steph explains all in one breath, the news got him excited, which shows that even the toughest of men secretly enjoy scandalous news, it's the sort of thing in see in soap operas and here it is, playing out in real life
'What?! How is the possible?' Killian's initial reaction was that of disbelieve, but how could it be? How could that be possible. Steph was just as shocked when he found out the truth, he expecially couldn't wrap his head around why Alvaro would willing chose to raise the love child, bore out of the infidelity of his wife and disloyalty of his best friend, why did he chose the route of punishment? What was the rational behind the decision despite being fully aware of the entire truth?
'...the truth never got out because he took so much precaution in containing it, only a handful of people knows about it and they're well aware of the implications of spreading the news, in fact, he ordered a hit on half of his then house staffs who collided to sell the news to media houses for extra cash, the rest, he paid them off with enough to keep their mouth shut for the rest of their lives' As for the house staffs who intended to capitalize and made money off the incident after they had been discharged from work, Alvaro had them all kidnapped, taken to a remote area where no one would find them or think to look and had their tongues ripped out with hot Spencer, after which he sold them off to a human trafficking ring, well known for organ trading. The news was enough to change the trajectory of Killian's decision, be realized with a deep sinking and shallow feeling in his heart that if Lucy Rose is actually not Alvaro's daughter, then she's in an even greater danger than he had imagined. Alvaro is a very hard man, with no single shred of forgiveness for wrong doings in his bone, he was rumored to have ordered the hit on some of the pioneer members of his gang when they started to rebel against him, he managed to kill off most of them, and the freedom who escaped and came back to take him on, he gave them a gruesome fate, worse than death itself, how then, could such a man have easily overlooked the great betrayal of his wife and best friend, and even go as far as collecting and raising the child bore from that affair? What ulterior motive does he have for doing so?.
'....mehn! I know Alvaro is not an easy man, but I never knew he had this much skeleton in his fucking walk in closet, he's geniusly evil and I duly admire that, ain't no one coming close to that motherfucker in this games' Steph adds, going of to the mini bar situated at the far end of the room to pour himself a glass of wine while Killian remains seated in his chair, as still as a statue as his mind went into an override on what this new revelations means.
