Chapter 20: New Developments
Tricia's POV
Over the last few weeks more and more witches have joined our territory and have helped in training the packs on how to fight witches with all different kinds of gifts. There are various gifts now here from Telepathy to Illusion Manipulation or the power to cast illusions. I know this is making my wolves very anxious as both the battle and the coronation are coming up in the next 2 weeks. I have foreseen the outcome and I know that we all need to be able to work together as peacefully as possible.
Even though I haven't officially been crowned queen, mainly because of the war, I am still treated as though I have already had my coronation by all the witches that have crossed onto our land. My wolves although weary are taking all of this very well, surprisingly, and are even more dedicated to making sure that I am always safe although I feel as though there is part of the prophecy that I haven't been told yet.
I was making my way into the pack house when Margo, one of the witches from Italy stopped me.
"Excuse me, my lady there is something you need to see over by the east gate." Said the petite blue eyed fire cracker.
"Yes, what is it?" I asked. I've told them to call me by my name but they never do it so I've grown quite used to being called anything royal related.
"You just need to see this my Queen." She said with panic in her voice.
"Lead the way." I told her.
"Justin, meet me at the east gate somethings happened and I can already feel myself losing control of Stacy. She needs Tanner." I told him through our mate link.
"I'll be right there love." He replied and I took off to the east gate.
The closer I came to my destination the more my anxiety rises and I can feel myself losing control and Stacy taking over my body. I stop at the gate and gasp at the sight before me.
On a stake in the ground in front of the gate is the head of one of my worriers with a note on a string hung around his neck.
Awe, so I see you have some new recruits. Too bad that won't help you in any way. I have more on my side than you can possibly imagine. Welcome to the start of the war Tricia. Let the games begin.

Traders we must find the traders. Stacy screamed in my head while my body shook with rage.
I'm about to completely lose it when I feel faint familiar sparks shoot through my body as Justin rubs soothing circles on my back to help calm me and my wolf. Justin stays there until I feel Stacy completely recede to the back of my mind giving me control.
"Now my love, what's got you so enraged?" He asked.
I shoved the letter at him and by the time he is done I have taken to soothing him because one pissed off hybrid is enough. There's no need to have a pissed off Alpha to add to that.
"Traders." Justin growled out making the wildlife close by scurry and fly in the opposite direction.
Get back to the pack house now. Stacy screamed.
Why what is it stac? I asked.
Just go pack is under attack! She exclaimed.
"Alpha, Luna the pack is under attack you need to get back to the pack house now. We have moved all of the elderly, children and pregnant she-wolves to the bunker." Taylor called through the pack link.
"We are on our way." I replied.
When we get there, there are wolves everywhere fighting and my heart clenched at the site of all the dead wolves from my pack. I also felt my body shake as I turned into my wolf form. After I shifted I attacked the closest rouge to me.
All of the sudden I felt a pinch on the back of my neck.
Mate! Go to mate! They are in trouble. Stacy called.
My vision clouded red and I was shoved to the back of my mind in a split second. I know I could smell fire but I don't think that Stacy realized we were channeling all of my rage to my powers at the moment.
Stacy
When I took over from Tricia and shoved her to the back of her mind I started sprinting to our spot in the forest by our creek, where my mate was. I saw him and released the most powerful growl I have ever heard come out of me and the rouges were all incinerated on sight.
I inhaled deeply and noticed a new stench.
Vampires!
I gave them one warning growl. They just kept walking towards me and I said fuck it and with a speed I didn't know I had I tore their throats out. I was so busy fighting the ones in front of me that I didn't notice the one creeping up behind me. It was too late he bit into my fur and all I felt was a burn while I was trying to stay conscious. I gave Tricia back control as all of my energy flowed out of the new wound.
Justin
"Alpha everything is..." I cut the pack link off before anything else could be said.
My mate was just bitten by a vampire. I pick her up and pray to the moon goddess that she is going to be just fine. I run and don't stop until I see the pack hospital and the pack doctor looks just as scared as I feel even though I have an emotionless face on right now.
"Eric, you had better do everything you can to save my mates life. Vampire attack." I said before turning around to walk out and address the pack and talk to Ashley.
When I walk out of the hospital I notice that the whole pack is outside.
"As you all know we were just attacked. What most of you don't know is that your Luna is in critical condition right now." I told them all and that erupted a round of murmurs. I raised my hand to silence them all. "She has been bitten by a vampire, Dr. Eric is working on her as we speak so please pray to the all Mother that she lets our Luna live." I told them. Growls were heard from every part of the lawn. I could even hear them in my head which tells me that someone opened the mind link to let everyone know what is going on.
"SILENCE!" I yelled with my Alpha Command.
"I will keep you all updated as I get updates on your Luna." I said and then walked back inside to be with my mate.
