Chapter 8

Rubby was in awe as her eyes were glued to Diamond for minutes.She has heard about Silver having a twin brother, but she never expected them to be so identical.It is almost impossible to differentiate between them.

They are both 6 feet, 1 inch tall. They both have short grey hair that stops at their shoulders. They are both fair and well-tanned, with a pointed nose. well-toned muscles and a chiselled chin.

"You keep staring at me like you haven't seen me before; what is going on? Are you new here?" Diamond narrowed his eyes at the pretty wolf dressed in a maid's attire standing before him.

Judging by how she was not scared of him like the other maid, she must really be new to Silver's pack.

"Do not be annoyed, Alpha. She just joined the pack today." The maid immediately apologised on her behalf while making a signal to Rubby to look down.

Rubby immediately got the message and moved her eyes down, staring at the grass.

"Alpha Diamond!" David walked hurriedly to the scene, like he had been searching everywhere for him. "He is waiting for you."

The 'He' should definitely be Silver, Rubby assumed.

She felt Diamond gaze at her before he finally left with David.

Once he was gone, the maid stood up and heaved a sigh of relief while dusting her knees."Goodness gracious, he is terrorising himself," she muttered, and she turned to Rubby with her hands on her waist."How dare you stare at him? Next time you see him coming, just look down to avoid chaos."

"To avoid chaos? He looks nice, though." Rubby folded her arms and said, "I think he's much better than his brother."

"You are crazy." The maid scoffed and looked around to see if no one was listening. "Don't you ever compare that devil to our Alpha?"

"I think the devil here is our so-called Alpha." Rubby huffed, "By the way, ma'am, is his brother an Alpha too?"

"Ma'am?" The maid looked around to see if there was anyone Rubby was talking to. "I'm not ma'am; I'm 24 years old, and my name is Fransisca."

"You are 24?" Rubby sucked in her teeth, staring at her from head to toe.Obviously, she doesn't look 24.She looks more like 35.."Yeah, his brother is also an Alpha. Those two do not get along, so do not ever make the same mistake of not being able to tell who is who. He can kill you for it."

"What?" Rubby furrowed her brow. "He's going to kill me just because of that tiny mistake?"

"Yeah," Fransisca replied with a nod. "He has done it so many times, so killing you will be much easier for him.".

Rubby scoffed in disbelief as she and Fransisca walked back inside.She had a lot to ask Fransisca about them, but it seems she was not willing to tell her anything more about them.Judging by the little she heard, they may be identical, but it seems they get on each other's nerves a lot.And diamond is more wicked and callous than silver."What is the story between them?" She thought to herself.

Silver already knew about the arrival of his brother, so he got David to fetch him before he committed more atrocities.He gulped down a cup of water before they would meet him where he was, in his throne room.It didn't take them a lot of time, as David twisted the knob and ushered him in.

"Hi brother," Diamond waved with an exciting but deadly smile, then took a seat before he was even told to.

Silver stood up from his throne and sat on the couch close to him."Why are you here? What in the world do you want from me this time?" Silver clenched his fist, trying not to show the displeasure on his face.

"You don't look too excited to see me." Diamond grinned and glanced at David. "I don't know why it feels so good to see David waging his tail at you like a dog every time. He used to be my good friend back then, in high school.

"I wouldn't say we were friends." David frowned, his wolf telling him to hold on to his peace.

"We were, until you got bitten by this bastard and turned to his little dog." Diamond burst out laughing.David was annoyed.But he tried to caution himself from losing it. What chances does he have against Diamond?They might have been classmates in high school, but Diamond is an Alpha while he's just a Beta.

His eyes met Silver's, who made an eye signal telling him to leave.

"I overlook all your stupid acts, but disrespecting my beta is off-limit," Silver warned once David was out of the room. "I doubt you came here for no reason."

"Why do you keep talking like I'm not invited?" Diamond scoffed. "It seems you keep forgetting, but we are brothers."

"I thought we both decided to throw away that title. We are practically strangers to each other.

Diamond burst out laughing again, but this time it took him a while to stop.

"Fine. We are strangers." The laughter faded away as he brushed his grey hair out of his eyes. "Since we are strangers, then I guess I will have no conscience remaining when I take the Alpha's position away from you."

"Don't delude yourself, Diamond," Silver said, and he grinned.He stood up and turned to leave, but suddenly stopped.

"By the way, I saw an interesting Omega on my way here. She seems to be the only one who can't differentiate us," he slowly rubbed his chin and turned to look at Silver, who was glaring at him."That Omega is your Luna, right?"

"Hey!!" Silver yelled and jerked up.

"I guess I'm right," Diamond snickered. "There's something interesting about her; should I have fun with her for a while?".

Silver's anger arose as his fangs and claws came out and his eyeballs turned red.He growled and pounced on Diamond.

"Why are you getting mad now? I've not even started with  you."Diamond smirked. "I plan on making life hell for you, brother, until you crawl on your knees, pleading for my forgiveness.".
