Rubby narrowed her eyes suspiciously at Silver, what in the world was that?
Usually when men say they want to know more about a Lady, does that not mean they are trying to flirt?
But why would Silver try to flirt with Chelse, knowing fully well she is David, his favourite and dearest Beta's Mate.
Ain't no way he is trying to dump her to marry Chelse, right?
Lot of thoughts flood in through her brain that she could not come up with an exact reason why Silver would say that to Chelse.
"I know you might be asking yourself the reason why I want to know about you, don't get the wrong idea" Silver said, like he read Rubby's mind or something "David is more than just a Beta to me, he is a good friend so I want to know you more as his mate"
Chelse heaved a sigh of relief.
Why didn't she think of that? Of course he would be curious about his Beta's Mate.
She comfortably leaned her back on the chair and took a sip of water, at least she won't have to be uncomfortable around Chelse just because of the petty reasons she just thought.
"Well, my name is Chelse, I am an orphan and I am a Delta, I used to be a part of the Redparker pack until I was sold off to the slave driver" Chelse said in a tone audible enough for them all to hear.
"You were sold off? By who?" David brow furrowed, one could sense anger in him like he was going to rip off whoever sold Chelse off at the moment
They all turned to look at him and then shifted their gaze back to Chelse when she gave a reply.
"My Sister".
There was absolute silent, the atmosphere suddenly got tensed.
No one was expecting her to say it was a sibling, if she had said it was her uncle then Rubby would have been able to relate
Or if she said it was a best friend then everyone would agree best friends could suddenly become enemies just because of selfishness.
But her sister?
"Do you mean, step sisters?" David asked, just to sure.
"No" Chelse shook her head "My blood sister".
Once again, there was silence.
Rubby felt her mouth moving but no voice could be heard. She has not really sympathized with someone before so she is not really familiar with what to say.
"Siblings can be funny sometimes" Silver broke the silence "My own twin brother once paid a fortune to get me killed".
"Really?" Chelse gasped, "Why would he do that to you?"
"Tell me about it" Silver smiled faintly and continued to eat.
Rubby realized one thing about him in the few seconds he talked. He appears to hate Diamond a lot and they fight whenever they meet, they look like they would never get along till they die but one thing is for sure, Silver would never say something bad about Diamond to other people.
The reason he has been acting cold to Diamond is because Diamond is the exact opposite of him, he is Wild.
"Why aren't you eating?" David called back her attention.
"I'm sorry to ask you this but.. how long have you been, you know.. Blind?" Silver asked while slicing the steak on his plate with a table knife.
Chelse sucked in her teeth and sighed "I am not sure, I just woke up one day and BOOM! I was blind" She giggled softly.
Silver suddenly started to feel uneasy, his hands started to tremble and he could feel himself burning up like his whole body was on fire. He was sweating profusely and Rubby couldn't help but notice.
Her eyes were always on him anyways.
"Are you okay?" She asked but got no response as Silver immediately dropped his cutlery and ran out of the dinning room, straight to the direction of his room.
Rubby also dropped her cutleries and followed him without hesitation, she could not just leave him alone when he is acting weird.
She stormed into his room and saw him laying on the floor while gasping for air
"Alpha?" She called worriedly and sat him up. He was not just sweating, she could feel his whole body was hot like someone with fever or something.
"Why are you burning up? Are you okay?" Tears gathered in her eyes as she was helpless without knowing what to do.
She raised her hand to unbutton his shirt but Silver jerked her hands off, she tried it again and same thing happened so she had no option than to yell at him.
"Will you please stay still?!"
The yelling seems to have a little effect on Silver as he calmed down and allowed her to unbutton his shirt.
The room was cool to her as the AC was on so what in the world could be wrong with him.
"Are you okay?" She asked when she noticed he was now calm and was breathing well.
The only thing happening to him at the moment was that he was still sweating and burning up.
"I..I.. don't know, I don't feel too good" he replied
"Obviously" Rubby sighed, at least she was relieved a little that he could talk "Do you want me to call the elder? No, I should call David instead, he would know if it is the elder you need or something else" She hurriedly stood up to leave but Silver stopped her by grabbing her wrist.
"Do not call David, he may look okay but I am sure he is still recovering" he slowly released her wrist and instead hung his arm around her neck, like a buddy talking to his best friend.
Rubby's eyes widened at this action
This was the first time Silver would touch her
"Can you help me to the bed? " he said in a weak tone.
Rubby did as he wanted and slowly help him lay on the bed then he covered him with a blanket.
She turned to leave but he called her back
"Come here" He slowly patted the pillow beside him.
"Ugh?" Rubby's brow were raised as her jaw dropped, was she dreaming at the moment or what?
He has always hated her so why would he wants her to sleep beside him? What in the world was going on? He was really acting strange and that was scary.
"You want me to sleep beside you?" She asked, just to be sure she was right and he replied with a nod.
She hesitated at first, then slowly moved closer and laid on the bed just like he wanted but she was a little far away from him
"Come closer" Silver said.
She gulped before doing so, they were now so close to each other that they could feel each other's breath. Silver slowly closed his eyes as he thought it would be uncomfortable for them both if he decides to keep his eyes opened.
David and Chelse were both behind the door, peeping
They had also followed them upstairs but David stopped Chelse from entering when he saw the situation.
He didn't know what happened to Silver but he was sure the Person he needed most at the moment was Rubby.
In order to prevent dangers, Silver must always be with Rubby, she must always be by his side
She's like a shield the moon goddess had already prepared for him.
"Are they sleeping together right now?" Chelse whispered
"How did you know?" David was rather surprised as she could not see
"I'm blind, not deaf" Chelse Shrugged as she slowly closed the door not to make a sound so as not to distract the two
"They seems to be having a nice time together" she giggled and heaved a sigh of relief "I am glad he's finally giving Rubby some attention, she was so angry earlier because they had a fight"
"Hmm" David just smiled faintly. He wasn't so sure if that is the case
Once Silver put his mind on not accepting someone then he won't so he wasn't sure if he was ready to accept Rubby as his Luna or if he just did that to save himself.
She just saved him from dieing.
For more than two hours, Silver was asleep but not Rubby, she was in the same position she has been for hours, staring at him.
Of course it was uncomfortable but she had to stay like that not to wake him up
According to what she heard, he is always so sensitive. He could wake if she moves.
So she just continued to adore his perfectly sculpted face, God really did a great job in creating both him and his brother.
Her eyes moved to his lips, they were beautiful and tempting so she moved closer and thought long about it if she should kiss him or not.
He was asleep anyways so he would not know if she just peck him and pretend like nothing happened.
As she moved her lips closer, Silver suddenly opened his eyes and that made her hurriedly move back in shock
"Do it" He said and she arched her brow
"Do what?"
He pulled her closer by her waist and then one of his arm went behind her neck
"I told you to do it" he whispered lustfully before claiming her lips.
