Chapter 15

Chelse's energy was getting drained out slowly, she could feel herself slowing losing breathe and she could barely move.

Alex had forcefully fed her a cup of tea of which he had poisoned with wolfsbane. He could have spared her but she was rather too adamant and stubborn and in no way did she regret doing that.

There's no way she would sell off her friend just to leave.

She could hardly breathe and was sweating profusely due to the pain. Alex had promised to come back in the next few hours to give her the antidote if she would tell him where Rubby is but deep down, Chelse knew she was not going to say a word.

Because she also does not know where Rubby went to.

She heard the door unlocking and was opened but this time it was just Alex, it was a little bit surprising not to see Rackel with him.

"Are you here alone? Where is your little puppy?" She scoffed amidst pain. The pain was slowly getting worse than expected and then she became to cough, in a minute, huge amount of blood came out of a mouth.

After watching her for a few seconds, Alex sighed and dragged a chair right in front of her to seat. He crossed his legs and a little smirk appeared on his face.

Chelse is just as stubborn as anyone could image, even while dieing, she is still refusing to talk.

"I bet you never imagined you would be in this position" He said mockingly "Do what I want and I will save your life"

"You do not expect me to listen to you" Chelse frowned and wiped the blood stain on her lips with her palm.

She was trying to stay strong but anyone could see she has no time left and could die anytime soon.

Alex rolled his eyes as he reached out to his pocket and brought out the antidote, it was his final weapon to make her speak and her final chance to heal.

"You are stronger than I expected, judging by how you are still hanging on but I believe you know Chelse, that once the poison spreads to your heart you won't be breathing anymore".

There was silence on both sides for minutes as Alex kept waiting for her response but Chelse was not willing to say a word either.

Alex suddenly jerked up in anger and banged his hand aggressively on a wooden table beside him. The force he put was too much that the Table broke into two.

"I know what is on your mind. Do you think that bitch will come back here to save you? Or do you think you have a mate out there who is restless just because you are in pain and will find any means to save you?!" He voiced out furiously and grinned "Oh dear Chelse, don't delude yourself. You are all alone, no one will come to your rescue and your friend? Even when you are dead, I will chase her to the end of the world!" He laughed maniacally before storming out of the room.

David was laid on Silver's bed and he sat watching over him with so much care.

It was so unusual for him to collapse just like that and he is that one werewolf that doesn't get sick or gets infected with a disease so his losing of consciousness was a big shock to almost everyone in the pack.

Of course everyone was concerned, it was their Alpha's Beta.

The only one Silver really cares about.

"I think this is related to his mate" The elder Silver had to called to check on him gave his observation

"His mate? What does that means?" Silver was confused.

"You know how you became restless the day your Luna was in danger, right? It's the same for him, his Luna is in pain right now and so he is. They are both connected" The elder explained

"Then what do I have to do? Is there a way I can save David?" Silver could feel himself tearing up "I can't let anything happen to him"

"I am sorry Alpha but in order to save your beta, we have to look for his mate and check on her to see if everything is well..." The elder paused and sighed "If anything happens to her then I can't guarantee he's gonna be okay either. This is the first time I will be seeing a werewolf connection like this. I don't know what your Beta did but i think he is being punished by the moon goddess".

Once the elder was out of the room, Silver tried to blink back his tears but couldn't help it as the thought of David being punished by the moon goddess because of him kept hurting him.

"Is Alpha crying right now?" Fransisca whispered as she and other omegas who were maids including Rubby were peeping from the door.

"Tell me about it, I don't know he can cry too. I thought he was emotionless" Rubby whispered back.

"I understand why he's crying, he and David have been friends for a long time and Alpha relies more on David than we could ever imagine" another maid explained in a very low voice "I feel bad for David, being punished by the moon goddess is not a great thing at all" she added.

Silver immediately wiped his tears when he heard some people whispering at the his door and as he turned to check, Rubby entered with force as if someone pushed her in.

"Why are you here?" He sniffed "Have you been eavesdropping?"

"No!" Rubby denied, her voice coming out louder than expected "I was worried about your Beta so I came to check on him"

"He will be fine so leave" Silver replied her coldly.

"Okay then" Rubby turned to leave but stopped again "perhaps, do you need my help in any way?"

"Why would I need you help? What exactly do you take me for?" Silver clenched his fist "Can you just leave?"

"You are still so full of yourself" Rubby scoffed in disbelief

"What did you say?"

"You heard me, you are so full of yourself" Rubby took in a deep breath and glared at him "Do you think you are everything just because you are the Alpha of this pack? Your friend is dieing here so if you need help just ask for it!" She yelled at him.
