Twenty-four

**KAIDOS**

I was smiling as I entered my room. I showered, even though I didn't want to get rid of Rory’s scent on my body. But somehow I felt guilty. I shouldn't have allowed my lust to get the better of me. 

But I couldn't stand there and watch Thane devour my woman! Thane knew she was mine, and yet he had her first.

That thought sent rage coursing through my veins, but I knew I couldn't hurt my brother. I enjoyed Rory as much as he had.

Plus, back at Xylonia, as twins we've always done everything together, including sharing women. The only woman I haven't shared with him was Luna, mostly because I disliked her personality. 

But Rory was supposed to be mine alone unless, of course, my vision hadn't been completed. I also knew Rory had enjoyed being with both of us.

I hated the way Thane treated Rory last night. He was too ruthless toward her when all she deserved was love and gentleness. What I didn't know was why Thane had decided to have Rory again. 

I decided it was time for me to talk with him. I finished dressing and went to his room, but he wasn't there. I knew the place I would see him would be in the throne room. 

As I entered the hallway, I bumped into Gaiana and Arewyna. Aerwyna smirked at me.

“My Overlord, you're positively shining today,” Arewyna commented. 

Gaiana glared at her and I chuckled. Aerwyna has always been bold and known for speaking her mind. 

I shrugged, “I always glow, Aerwyna.”

Aerwyna smiled, “Not like this, Overlord. I'm certain you've finally fucked the woman who was messing with your mind before.” 

My face turned red as I looked away. Aerwyna burst into laughter and clapped me on the back. 

“That’s wonderful. I knew you could do it!” She hailed me. 

Gaiana groaned and pulled her away, “I apologize for her rudeness, Overlord.” 

Then they walked the other way while I entered the throne room. I wondered what they would say if they found out it was a human I had fucked. 

I saw Thane at the end of the room. His brows were knotted in worry as he stared at the maps on the table. I walked up to him and started tapping my foot on the floor.

Five minutes later, Thane glared at me, “What? I'm trying to concentrate.”

I shrugged, “I don't care. I need to talk to you.”

Thane frowned, “I hope this isn't the time when you will start fighting me again.”

“It’s just a talk,” I insisted. 

Thane nodded and walked toward the other side of the room. He arched his brows and stared at me. 

“Go on,” he said.

“What’s the relationship we have with Rory now?” I asked him.

“She’s our maid,” Thane answered casually. 

I was mortified by his response, “People don't fuck their maids.” 

Thane shrugged, “Been there, done that.”

“You’re not taking this seriously, Thane,” I voiced out my disbelief. 

Thane sighed, “It was just sex, Kaidos. I have other things to worry about. Luna hasn't been found yet and no word on The Red Hand gang. Everything is a mess around here if you haven't noticed.”

“This is my woman we’re talking about, not someone you could easily dismiss, Thane,” I growled. 

“Your woman enjoyed sex with both of us. She's not yours, Kaidos, let her go,” Thane sighed. 

I scoffed, “What the fuck is that supposed to mean? I told you she's the woman of my dreams!”

“You’d probably still have or see another woman in one of your visions, Kaidos, let’s not fret over this,” Thane argued. 

“I don't want another woman because I'm in love with Rory!” I confessed. 

The confession hit me like a brick as I staggered gently. I had no idea I had such strong feelings for Aurora, but now that I've said it out loud I knew that I meant it. 

Thane chuckled and waved me off, “Yeah, we both love her wet pussy.”

“Thane!” I growled at him, my eyes darkening. 

He stared at me for a moment before bursting into laughter.

“Wait, you're fucking serious? Do you love her? Like you have feelings for her?” Thane asked. 

I knew Thane was finding it hard to believe. Hell, I was equally finding it hard to believe, but it all made sense. The way I protected her and was always jealous around her, I knew it made sense. 

“Yes, I love her!” I affirmed. 

“That’s impossible! I forbid you, Kaidos,” Thane snarled.

I scoffed, surprised at the drastic change of tone in his voice. 

“Forbid me? You can't forbid me of anything, Thane,” I pointed out. 

“No! You can't be with someone who their kind wanted to ruin our lives and our planet,” Thane said.

“You don't know what you're saying. Just once of fucking Rory and you're already claiming to be in love. You can't love a human,” Thane added. 

“You don't know that,” I insisted. 

Thane scoffed and I knew he was right. It was going to be difficult proclaiming that I was in love with a human but I still needed him to answer my question. 

“Why did you come back to Rory again?” I asked him. 

Thane shrugged, “Luna is missing. I just needed to take the edge off.”

I scoffed, “That can't be all.”

Thane grinned, “I also enjoyed sharing her with you. It’s been a long time since we shared a woman.”

I knew what Thane was trying to do but I knew he wouldn't succeed. He won’t be able to get her out of my mind now. 

Especially not after last night and this morning. “It’s not working.”

“Fine. When you've fucked her again you'll forget you ever loved her and move on,” Thane said. 

I scoffed, “I had her all to myself this morning and I left wanting more.”

“Maybe because you haven't fucked anyone in such a long time,” Thane said.

I saw the way his eyes twinkled and I frowned, “What do you mean by that?”

“Why don't we test the theory, huh? Let’s see if you are still in love with your toy then,” Thane said, grinning.
