Chapter 27 Training
TARA:
Luckily, thirty minutes after school dismissed, Mason came to pick me up. I had been meaning to ask him what happened in the morning.
“There’s the prettiest girl in the whole of the North. How are you doing today, sunshine?”
“Good afternoon, Gamma Mason. I’m exhausted. I feel like passing out.” I complained and put on my seat belt.
“I'd advise you not to be tired because the Alpha said you should be in training this evening. That's in two hours.”
“That’s enough time to eat and sleep. I still have an assignment to work on. Gathering different kinds of spices in the market.”
“We can do that now before it’s time for training. After training, you’ll be too exhausted to breathe. Trust me.” He started the car.
“But I don’t have any money.” I reminded him.
“You don’t have to spend any money of your own, sweetheart. The Alpha and I are here for you. Our money belongs to you alone.” He winked at me.
What did he mean by that?
We surveyed the spices and we bought some of them. After that, he drove me back to the Alpha's house. I just pulled off my clothes, took my bath, and put on some clothes.
“You’re not going in that dress, are you? Are you sure it’s Rose that got those clothes for you?”
“I sneaked them in,” I confessed.
“I'm not letting you leave this room with that gown. What do you think you're going for? A fancy dinner date? Hold up,”
He went to the wardrobe and picked out something for me to wear; A T-shirt and torn jean shorts.
"I am not wearing that." I objected, holding onto my gown. "I've not worn something like that before. I'd feel very uncomfortable." I complained. He approached me with the clothes but I moved away.
"Do you want people to look at your panties? If not, wear this. You'll still change when you get there. But for now, wear this." He approached me but I shifted back. I continued pushing back until there was nowhere to go.
"If you don't want it, I'll put my hand under your skirt." He threatened me. "And you know what that means. I'll finger you until you rush like a faucet."
I gulped hard, quietly took the clothes from his hand, and ran to the bathroom to change. I didn't want to upset or push anyone to do anything to me. Alpha Lucian had warned me never to lose my virginity.
I changed into the clothes even though I didn't like them. I felt too...exposed.
"How does it look on me? I feel naked." I looked down at my body several times.
"Turn around," He instructed me. I didn't get why he wanted me to turn but I did anyway. I heard approaching footsteps and the next thing, a pair of hands gripped my waist.
"Fuck..." I heard him whisper.
"What are you doing?" I asked him. His hand dropped down to my buttocks. I quickly dropped his hand, propelling myself away from him.
"Why can't you keep your hands to yourself for once, Mason?"
We both turned simultaneously to see the Alpha leaning against the doorpost. Was he a shadow? He always appeared everywhere without anybody noticing.
"Alpha, I wasn't doing anything." He laughed nervously.
"Let me make this clear." He stood erect and folded his hands. "Tara is off-limits. Do not fucking lay your hands on her or I'll cut off your dick."
Mason smiled and looked back at me.
"You've got it, Alpha. I love my dick too much. It's what pulls the ladies in." He shrugged. "I'm sorry, Tara. I got carried away. It won't happen again." He said sweetly.
"It's time for training."
Mason drove us to the training ground. It wasn't that far from the house. I always wondered why Mason drove the Alpha everywhere. Couldn't he drive on his own?
"What are you thinking, Tara?" The Alpha asked me. Did he hear me?
"Nothing." I deflected. "I'm just nervous. I don't know if I can do this."
"That should be the least of your worries."
"Can I be in charge of her? Show her around?" Mason offered. He had a hard time keeping his hands away from me but I would pick him over and over again.
"No, I can't entrust her with you. I'll pick someone else. Probably your sister."
As soon as the car came to a stop, the Alpha's phone rang. He groaned when he saw who was calling him.
"What is it?" He grumbled. "It had better be important."
I couldn't hear what the other person was saying. When the call ended, he alighted from the car.
"Guess you're stuck with me for today," Mason smirked. I should be scared, given what had transpired earlier, but I had never felt safer.
"I don't get why I need this training though. My wolf is obviously hiding from me and there's nothing much I can do without her." I lamented.
"You want to take revenge on those who framed you, right?" The look in Mason's eyes was cold and distant as he spoke.
"I do,"
"Then give it all you've got. Your wolf isn't a problem. Make sure to get stronger and stronger until your muscles feel like ripping apart." He encouraged me. He wasn't just a pervert after all.
The field was large and surrounded by a long, round fence with barbed wires at the top. Some wolves ran around the field while others just played and talked around. I thought it would look like a death prison or something gory.
"What's in that bag you're carrying?" I pointed to it.
"Yeah... It's your uniform. You can change over there." He pointed to a small building at the far end of the field. But all I saw were guys trooping out.
"I think that's the wrong place. I'm supposed to change in the female's room."
"What female's room? We have only one changing room. Get to it, I'll be back." With that, Mason disappeared into the crowd.
I inhaled sharply as I dragged my feet toward the changing building.
Why would they pair the men and the women together? What if someone walks in on me changing?
I located a room in the building but there were people inside. I heard their chattering as soon as I touched the doorknob.
"See?" I breathed helplessly. I checked every room but they were occupied. The best thing to do was to wait for a room to be emptied.
The door to the first room was opened and as soon as everybody left, I entered inside and locked the door. I quickly changed into the training clothes. They look kind of big on me but I didn't mind. Not like I had any curves to show off.
I placed my normal clothes in the bag, dropped it on the empty table, and stepped out. I tried looking around for Mason but it was like he had disappeared into thin air.
"Move out of the way!" I heard someone shout and before I knew it, I was pushed roughly to the ground.
"Urghh!" I groaned. Because of the soft grass, I didn't sustain any injury but my skin felt itchy. I stood up, cleaning my body. I looked at the person who had pushed me but he only smirked. I rolled my eyes and hissed.
Silly person.
I lifted my eyes to search one more time for Mason and I saw him. He was walking toward me, a huge smile on his face. He had changed into his uniform but when and where?
I put a step forward with the hope of reuniting with him but the smell of roses wafted past my nose. Before I could decipher who it was coming from, I saw a lady jumping onto his body.
And the next thing, she kissed him, right in front of everyone.
