Luke

Walking to the living room I adjusted my pants before anyone could see my pain. I couldn't wipe away the images, hunter fed me with when we saw her in my clothes with no bra underneath.

It was so hard for me to leave her in my room like that. I swallowed as her images flashed before my eyes. Sh*t, i am probably the most miserable creature right now.

It seems it will be really hard to stay away from her when she looks like that.

" Luke," my mother called me, breaking the chain of thoughts.

" yes?"

" How's everything?" She mind linked me knowing that her questions would probably make a few people uncomfortable.

" She is good."

" Did you find out who that person was who's been constantly sending her letters?" She asked. From the corner of my eyes I saw my father who stood like a statue void of any emotions.

" no," I said.

" Did anything come again?" I asked. I am angry at myself right now thinking of those letters. Being the king I still couldn't find out who that person was.

" Alpha," Alex said, coming forward with a box in his hands. Looking at the box my eyes narrowed. I looked at the object for a few moments before my eyes met with Alex's. He looked worried. Fu*k, I cursed myself inwardly thinking it is not going to be any good.

" What is it?" My mother asked alex.

" Your highness," he said, bowing slightly before handing me the box.

Taking the box from his hand and opening it, I felt I needed blood. There were pictures of Scarlett sleeping in her room. And I could also see the man who clicked the picture. My blood boiled seeing the contents. There were several personal things in that box which belonged to Scarlett.

" Keep this box in my study," I said, handing the box to my gamma.

" Yes, Alpha," he said before walking away with it.

" I have already warned you," my father said, snarling at me.

" No one needs to tell me what I should do." I said with a growl.

" If anyone receives another message or letter or anything, be the carrier to me and don't let him escape," I said through the mind link.

" guard the palace. Make shifts and let the army take over," I barked the order one after another. They all nodded their heads at me before marching outside.

" code red at North towards the mountains," someone said through the link. As soon as the link was cut off we all turned on our heels before sprinting outside. Cracking of bones could be heard as we shifted on our way.

A few lycans from my army joined me when we stepped outside. We ran through the tree, enhancing my vision to look as far as possible. I didn't want them to escape.

" Quite," I said through the mind link, reaching the spot.

The scene in front of us made me sick as they were ripping two wolves apart and gutting them. I smelled the air to confirm that they are rouges.

" It's a trap, Luke," Hunter growled in my mind.

" surround them," I linked. But I have the feeling that our presence was already known to them.

All of them raised their heads almost at the same time and I could see that there was a smirk on one of their faces. That's it, he is the leader.

F*ck it. I am already pissed and was waiting to vent out since I saw those pictures of my mate.

A thunderous growl ripped through my chest, as I surged forward aiming for their alpha. They all followed my lead and attacked them. The sound of our paws hitting the ground could be heard in the silent forest.

The rage in his eyes was evident as he came forward. He tried to hit my chest but failed, douging his attack. I hit him in his face with my claw making a deep mark from his eyebrow to his cheek.

He is more powerful than I imagined a rogue could be. He didn't even flinch when my claw cut through his flesh.

I was off guard when he caught me by my neck trying to snap it. I rolled both of us to the left before grabbing him by his neck before throwing him away. A bone snapping sound could be heard as his back met with a tree before falling on the ground with a thud.

I didn't give him a chance to recover. Moving with a lightning speed, I held him down using my paws.

I shifted back to my human form and grabbed him by his neck. He was still trying to bite off my head. Putting a little bit more pressure on his neck looked at him deadpan.

After a few minutes trying to escape he finally shifted into his human form. I took a quick look to see what others were doing. They took the remaining rouges and chained them as they all waited for me to finish him.

He looked handsome with a big build. I wondered why he had become a rogue. I could sense that he has alpha blood in him.

" Why are you here?" I asked and my voice boomed in the air. He didn't answer me and remained silent.

" You trespassed my kingdom and for that I could kill you," I snapped when he didn't answer me. My patience with him slipped by everyone second.

" You took away what belongs to me," he said finally. His voice was dripping with hate and rage.

" what?" I asked in confusion.

" You took her. She is mine. Scarlett is mine," he said finally when I didn't get him at first.

The sanity in me snapped with each and every word fell from his mouth. Before I knew it, my father and Alex both came to my side with two other lycans to hold me as two of them held him away from me.

" Let go," I said. I want nothing more than his head ripped off from his head right now.

" Is she your mate?" My mother asked him to step in.

" no," he said. His answer made me calm down a bit.

" Then why?" She asked again.

" They promised to give her to me so I can make her my Luna," he said.

" who?" I asked, freeing my hands from both of them.

He didn't answer my question and kept looking at me.

" Who was the person?" I asked again gritting my teeth and clenching my fists.

" I don't know their names," he lied.

" lier," I said growling at him.

" So what if I am lying? I can go at any length to make her mine. She is mine from the beginning. I don't care if she is your mate," he said, his eyes showing furry.

" She is not yours?"

" I protected her when there was no one to look after her, not her father and certainly not you. I was the one who became her shadow all these years. My wolf and I both want her," he said, closing his eyes. His body was shaking with anger.

" Son, maybe there's a mate waiting for you. Moon goddess blessed each and one of us with mates. Just wait and you will meet her," my mother said in her calm and soothing voice.

" I don't have a mate, I am cursed," he said with a sigh.

" Cut the crap and let's finish him off," my father growled.

" I will come for her alpha. Don't bother with your guards," he said, his voice changed and I knew his wolf was talking. There was a smirk on his face.

" I am going to take her away in one week. Mark my word the bond you have with her will vanish the moment I mark her as mine," he said. I had to use my speed to reach him. The ability I have never shown to anyone for a long time. For a moment he was shocked when I stood in front of him.

And the next moment I held him by his neck, slamming him on a tree. My grip tight and deadly, a little bit more pressure and I could easily snap his neck with one hand.

" Let's see how long you can keep her, Alpha," he said.

" One week," he said, and just like that he vanished.

" what the fu*k?" I cursed looking at my hand that was wrapped around his neck a few seconds ago.

" How?" My mother gasped.

" Who was he?" My father asked himself in disbelief.

I could hear all of them but right now I am too pissed to react. I could have sensed if he was a hybrid but I am not sure what he is.

" he will kill all of you." One of the rouge said with a maniac laugh.

" That's it," I said and turned in my heels using my speed. I placed both my hands on either side of his head and without giving him a chance I detached his head from his body.

Blood splatters all over my body. Throwing his head away on the ground I sprinted off towards the palace.

I need her, I need to see her. I need to make her mine. She is mine. I chant in my head all the way to the palace.
